Reading Time: 2 minutes Newly released body camera footage captures the harrowing moments before a Connecticut police officer fatally shot a man who authorities say refused repeated commands to stop attacking another person with a baseball bat. The incident unfolded on the morning of July 19 in Meriden, Connecticut, after officers responded to reports of an active domestic violence situation at a home on Sagamore Road. According to investigators, Officer Anthony Offiaeli arrived to find 38-year-old Robert Lee Jenkins III repeatedly striking a motionless man with a baseball bat (via TMZ). (Connecticut Office of Inspector General) Body camera footage released by the Connecticut Office of Inspector General shows Offiaeli pointing his weapon at Jenkins while repeatedly yelling, “Put the f—ing bat down!” Authorities say the officer issued the command four times as Jenkins allegedly continued the attack. He also radioed for backup, urging responding officers to “step it up,” before opening fire. Investigators later identified the victim as 69-year-old Robert Jenkins Jr., the suspect’s father. According to the preliminary report, Robert Jenkins Jr. suffered catastrophic blunt-force injuries to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. His death has been ruled a homicide. Robert Lee Jenkins III was transported to a hospital, where he later died from multiple gunshot wounds. His death was also classified as a homicide under Connecticut’s legal definition for deaths caused by another person. The released footage is graphic and shows the suspect continuing to swing the bat even after the officer begins firing. Reports indicate Offiaeli discharged nearly 20 rounds before the assault finally stopped. As is standard procedure following an officer-involved shooting, Connecticut’s Office of Inspector General is investigating the use of deadly force. A separate investigation into the underlying domestic violence homicide is being handled by Connecticut State Police. Authorities have not released any information about what may have led to the fatal confrontation between father and son. The body camera footage has quickly drawn widespread attention online because it documents the officer’s repeated attempts to end the attack before resorting to deadly force. The brothers — who have built a massive audience by posting “manosphere” content online — were detained by Federal Marshals in Miami and may soon be extradited to the UK to face trial on 59 rape and sex trafficking charges. But as of this writing, they’re still in the US — and it seems that Andrew is not too thrilled with their circumstances. My neighbor is a cannibal who screams throughout the night.” We don’t know how Tate is managing to convey that message if he has “no contact with the outside world.” Numerous commenters (and a scathing community note) have pointed out that social media is, indeed, contact with the outside world. We don’t imagine that Tate is actually tweeting from his cell, but clearly, he’s been in contact with a friend or assistant who is sharing his message. They would be protecting me.” Broken clock, and whatnot. But just because the UK has yet to prosecute royal Andrew, that doesn’t mean that grifter Andrew is innocent. That would be like saying a US jury let OJ off the hook; therefore, every murder conviction in this country is invalid. In any event, Andrew and Tristan are facing some very serious allegations, and if extradited and convicted, they could face life sentences. The brothers were previously jailed in Romania, and the decision to allow them entry to the US was highly controversial. Now, it sounds like the Tates will finally go in front of a judge. (Photo by Drew Angerer/Getty Images) Well, one longtime NFL insider believes that this is just the first step in a much larger plan for the seven-time Super Bowl champ. “I spoke yesterday about Tom Brady’s foray into the world of WWE, and I got an email from a reader that I think may have been more accurate than I initially wanted to admit,” journalist Mike Florio said on his podcast this week (via Radar Online). “There are two ways of looking at this. One, it’s a sort of bizarre mid-life crisis for Tom Brady, it’s an exercise in ego, can’t get enough, got to do more. “There’s also a chance it is part of a broader plan. Is Tom Brady trying to cosy up to the wrestling base when it comes to for running for office?” Florio continued, adding: “I did research this morning and the idea of Tom Brady running for president is not some new thing.” Yes, the “Idiocracy was a documentary” crowd has been validated once again, and the world of pro wrestling is now considered a viable path to the White House. Florio noted that Brady has been mentioned as a potential presidential candidate many times in the past, most notably by Sam Bankman Fried — who is now serving a 25-year prison sentence. Not the most auspicious start to Tom Terrific’s political career, but presidential campaigns have overcome a felony or two in the past. Speculation surrounding Brady and the WWE intensified after his increasingly public feud with Logan Paul. The rivalry began with Brady slapping the WWE star and influencer during Fanatics Fest before the pair exchanged more taunts during the FIFA World Cup final. Brady has also openly admitted he’d be interested in stepping into the ring if WWE could come up with the right storyline, and multiple reports say discussions between the two sides are ongoing. However, neither Brady nor WWE has officially announced any agreement. According to Radar, former NFL executive Mike Lombardi believes a WWE run could help Brady develop the charisma and public speaking skills that often benefit political candidates. Lombardi pointed to the entertainment world’s long history of producing politicians, arguing that performing before massive live audiences can be valuable preparation for public office. He also suggested Brady’s carefully managed public image and enormous name recognition would make him a formidable candidate if he ever decided to enter politics. For now, though, there is no indication that Brady plans to run for office. The presidency speculation remains just that: speculation. At the moment, Brady appears focused on his broadcasting career with FOX Sports, his business ventures, and whatever may or may not be developing with WWE. Whether those wrestling rumors eventually become reality remains to be seen. As for a presidential campaign? There are a few more barriers to success there. Reading Time: 2 minutes Sometimes, we call the crimes that people commit against society’s most vulnerable “unspeakable.” In this case, however, one adult woman could — and should — have taken action, including just speaking, to protect her child. Instead, an Oklahoma mom has been convicted on seven counts after her 11-year-old daughter gave birth at home. Her husband has already been sentenced. (Photo Credit: Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office) What happened to this child is a sequence of horrors On Friday, July 17, Cherie Walker was convicted on one count of enabling child sexual abuse and six counts of child neglect. Prosecutors have recommended a sentence of life in prison on each count. Walker is currently awaiting sentencing. The trial, which took place in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, included four days of testimony from emergency responders, law enforcement officers, medical professionals, Department of Human Services employees, and family members. Sure enough, the jury convicted Walker on all 7 counts. In August 2025, authorities learned that an 11-year-old girl had given birth inside the family home without any prenatal care or medical assistance. They launched an investigation, for multiple obvious reasons. DNA testing confirmed that Dustin Walker was the father. In March, Dustin pleaded guilty to one count of sexual abuse of a child under 12 and six counts of child neglect. He received a prison sentence of life for the CSA conviction. Sometimes, parents in these cases argue that the predator kept it a secret from them. (Some even genuinely convince themselves that they didn’t really know.) But when an 11-year-old child gives birth, there is no longer any doubt about what has happened to the child. There is also generally a very narrow suspect pool. Walker presumably had months of her daughter’s pregnancy to seek justice for her, to contact the authorities with the obvious evidence of her husband’s crimes. Instead, she forced her child to give birth without medical care, attempting to shield the monster in the house from harm. In the course of the investigation, another adult has been charged. Michelle Justus is the victim’s grandmother. She has pleaded not guilty to a charge of child neglect. Her trial was set to begin on Thursday, July 23. We do not yet know the results. It is clear that many adults failed this child, as did society at large. Her life has been forever altered, as has the life of her baby. The least that we can do, now, is seek justice for her. And Kelly Osbourne marked the occasion with a lengthy Instagram post about what she’s learned from her 12 months of grief. But while most commenters were sympathetic, some folks accused Kelly of using Ozzy’s death to draw attention to herself. I mourn the soul I was before death taught my heart its own name,” Kelly wrote, adding: “There is a grief that steals more than the person you love. It quietly takes the light from your laughter, the innocence from your hope, and the stranger you become is someone you’ll spend a lifetime trying to recognize. “People think grief is missing someone who is gone, but the deepest sorrow is waking each day longing for the version of yourself who died with them. “Grief is a language no one truly speaks until life forces it upon them.” She went on to describe Ozzy as her “best friend,” “protector,” and “greatest teacher,” writing that she still feels his presence in everyday life despite the pain of no longer being able to speak with or hug him. She also said she sees pieces of her father living on through her young son, Sidney, and thanked him for the love and guidance he gave her throughout her life. Unfortunately, the touching tribute attracted plenty of harsh criticism. Some social media users accused Kelly of focusing too much on her own grief instead of celebrating Ozzy’s extraordinary legacy. According to Radar Online, critics claimed the post centered more on Kelly’s emotions than on the legendary musician’s accomplishments, with several commenters suggesting she was “making it all about herself.” Others defended her, pointing out that grieving the loss of a parent is deeply personal and that everyone processes loss differently. “Man if this isn’t one of the most relatable, accurate descriptions of the grief journey. I’m so so sorry. Big hugs from someone who also lost her dad. He’s with you always,” wrote one user. It’s hardly the first time Kelly has been targeted online. In recent months, she has repeatedly addressed cruel comments about her appearance and weight while continuing to mourn her father’s death. She has previously called the criticism “disgusting” and pushed back against speculation surrounding her health. One of the things that actually happened was that Meghan Markle made a guest appearance on MasterChef Australia. (Photo Credit: Asanka Ratnayake/Getty Images) ‘All the way from sunny California …’ According to a report from SkyNews, Meghan clashed with MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow. “We’ve had MasterChef royalty in the kitchen before but no one like this,” Yeow announced in a promotional clip. “All the way from sunny California, please welcome to MasterChef Australia … the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle!” she continued. That sounds like a slightly cringe but otherwise fine introduction. That’s pretty normal for a cooking show introducing a celebrity guest. But the report alleges that Meghan felt “frustrated” by the remark, which left Yeow feeling “upset.” “It wasn’t about Meghan personally,” the inside source claimed. “Poh felt she had been unintentionally drawn into a royal protocol issue she never intended to be part of,” the insider explained. That sounds like the story of Meghan’s life over the past decade. Yeow reportedly wanted to personally apologize to Meghan for any awkwardness, but apparently the show talked her out of it. “She was willing to reach out immediately,” a second source alleged. “But she was advised to leave it for production to handle.” ‘There was no frustration on Meghan’s side …’ According to a third source, some moments were filmed but will never air from the episode. (That’s how TV works.) “Poh is full of energy — she’s always joking and lifting the mood,” the third insider described. The source claimed: She tried to bring that same spark with Meghan, cracking a few playful lines, but not all of it landed as intended.” Meanwhile, a source close to Meghan told Page Six that she and Yeow “had a great time together on set.” The insider clarified: “There was no frustration on Meghan’s side about anything that was said on set.” What are we to make about this? Well, it’s always possible that this is just part of the flurry of anti-Meghan stories that came pouring out of the royal firm as royalists panicked over how well liked Meghan and Harry are outside of beans-on-toast island. But we can also consider the possibility that there was a small slice of awkwardness on set when someone dropped the word “royalty” in the same line as mentioning Meghan. That said, we hope that she knows by now that no matter what she says or does, nothing will ever be good enough for the people who hate her. They clearly do not need a reason to hate her, after all. Ultimately, it’s up to each individual whether to decide whether they believe that Meghan had some sort of huffy bit on screen or whether she was just a normal guest judge. During the TikTok Live on Tuesday, July 21, June told followers that this was not yet confirmed. “He really might have a girl pregnant, but we’re kind of concerned about that, but that hasn’t came out yet, so don’t tell nobody,” she said during the Live. Speaking about something on social media as a public figure is not a traditional way to keep a secret. Interestingly, June dished on this claim without calling for Lauryn to dump Darrin. Why is that? According to June, she believes that Lauryn and Darrin are not cheating. “Because Darrin does his thing, Pumpkin does her thing,” she explained, “so I guarantee that they’re probably in an open relationship.” June shadily added: “But hey, if they’re okay with being in an open relationship and [Pumpkin is] going to different cities and meeting her sugar daddies, and [Darrin] meeting his sugar mamas here in Georgia.” She added: “I mean, if they’re cool with that, I’m cool with that.” It’s unclear if Lauryn is invested in June’s opinion of her romance. June added that her daughter and Darrin are hoping that their hookups will bankroll a $90,000 new pool at Lauryn’s house. Pumpkin claims that she invented this rumor June went on to detail the alleged sugar mamas in Jones County, including a multi-millionaire like June once was, a woman who works at the sheriff’s office, and an associate of Lauryn. She also warned that Lauryn will feel “heartbroken” if this other woman truly is pregnant. Lauryn and Darrin are both already parents, by the way. For her part, Lauryn is actively debunking her mother’s allegations, The Ashley documented. “I texted her last night to start some tea just so y’all would yap it up,” she claimed in an Instagram comment. On Facebook, Lauryn claimed that June is “just stirring s–t up” in order to “get mfs talking.” Who should we believe? Well, there is really no reason to believe that June is telling the truth, even without Lauryn’s counterclaims. On the other hand, there is also no reason to believe that “Pumpkin” is telling the truth, either. Both women have possible motives to lie. And Lauryn’s version of events also admits to a deceitful conspiracy to hoodwink fans. But to what end? There is seemingly nothing to be gained by conjuring up a dramatic story only to debunk it within days. But, then again, nothing that this family does makes any kind of sense. He wrongly predicted that the film would bomb (it’s the most successful of Nolan’s career) and that viewers would share his disdain for the casting decisions (it currently holds a 97 percent audience approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes). You might think that after being so loudly wrong about every aspect of The Odyssey’s reception, Musk would seek to just quietly move on. But that’s never been Elon’s style. Instead, he’s decided to double down by promoting his own adaptation of Homer’s epic poem, one built entirely with his Grok AI tool. Now, aside from the fact that the footage provided looks like crap and features dialogue that is not even close to being an accurate translation of Homer, The Odyssey is pure fiction that’s populated by gods and monsters, and therefore, no “historically accurate” version has ever existed. Thankfully, numerous users on Elon’s X platform were quick to point this out. “How can you make a ‘historically accurate’ version about a f–king fake story?” wrote one commenter. “‘Historically accurate.’ There is a cyclops,” another added. Now, factual accuracy might still be of concern to an author of historical fiction, but it didn’t seem to matter much to Homer (who was writing about 500 years after the events described in The Odyssey). So why should it matter so much to modern interpreters of the poem? The fact is, it shouldn’t, and Elon wouldn’t care either, were it not for the fact that his trans daughter wants nothing to do with him, and therefore he’s all butthurt that a trans actor was cast in a movie. Whatever the case, the real question is not whether the Grok-yssey will be accurate, but whether it will be any good. You’re going to get through this, and it’ll be a memory.’” Shortly thereafter, William was diagnosed with Stage 4 salivary cancer. “I remember vividly thinking, ‘I don’t have the strength to take care of myself and lose my father at the same time,’” says Melanie. “They said, ‘You got cancer. According to investigators, Siad worked as an international modeling scout and maintained a professional relationship with Epstein for years, introducing aspiring models during the disgraced financier’s trips to Paris and other parts of Europe. In interviews before his death, he claimed he believed Epstein was conducting legitimate model castings and insisted he had no knowledge of the abuse that would later become synonymous with Epstein’s name. “I trusted him and believed this guy was a professional person,” Siad previously told CNN (via The Guardian), adding that none of the women he introduced to Epstein ever reported mistreatment back to him. However, documents released this year painted a more troubling picture, including emails between Siad, Epstein, and fellow model scout Jean-Luc Brunel discussing the recruitment of young women from across Europe. But that was not sufficient to conclude that foul play had factored into his death. Mitchell stated that he could not rule out damage to the throat as a cause of or contributory factor to Wells’ death, as it had been removed during the initial autopsy. Wells’ body was found on Horn Island two days after he embarked on a July 4th boating excursion with friends. Those friends have been questioned by police but are not considered suspects. MacInnes was an actress on The Deb, and had accused Wilson of spreading alleged lies on social media. She alleged that Wilson had made her the “subject of abuse, hatred, and ridicule online” and negatively impacted her career. In the posts, Wilson alleged that MacInnes had filed and then withdrawn a sexual harassment complaint against producers — withdrawing it to further her career. Introduced through a mutual friend at dinner, the pair quickly connected over their shared interests. “When I met him, I was quite surprised how down-to-earth he was, and also how intelligent he was,” Booysen recalled. “I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he’s actually a nice guy.” After returning to the United States, Donaldson reached out via X, and the two soon began a long-distance relationship. He proposed on Christmas Day in 2024 while both of their families looked on after disguising the engagement ring as part of a gift exchange. And an Italian based sculptor is planning to mark the occasion by unveiling a life-sized statue of Kirk in Midtown Manhattan. The only problem, he says, is that the whole project has been a total disaster. Furnari spent roughly $100,000 of his own money creating the monument, hoping it would attract wealthy backers and eventually raise millions of dollars. Instead, he says the project has generated little financial support while making him the target of online backlash. He adds that he has currently raised just $8,000 from his GoFundMe page. “I was thinking that it was going to resonate with the world,” Furnari told The Guardian. “But man, people are strange out there.” The sculptor has reportedly raised only a small fraction of what he hoped through crowdfunding and says he’s been flooded with hostile messages from critics, including some threatening to vandalize the statue once it’s publicly displayed. The setbacks haven’t been limited to fundraising. While working on the sculpture, Furnari tripped over a roll of tape in his studio and broke his foot, an accident that only added to his mounting expenses. Asked whether the string of misfortunes made him think the statue was cursed, Furnari acknowledged the possibility before ultimately rejecting the idea. “Is it cursed? Maybe. I don’t know,” he initially said. Later, however, he insisted, “The statue is not cursed. The statue is blessed.” Despite the controversy, Furnari still intends to unveil the statue in New York City’s Times Square on September 10, the first anniversary of Kirk’s death. (Image Credit: YouTube) ‘She is dripping in narcissism …’ On the Monday, January 20 episode of her The Megyn Kelly Show podcast, the host used her own “sad little podcast” to lay into one of the most respected women in the country. “Michelle Obama has been everywhere, trying to build her brand and her very sad little podcast,” she complained. “And she showed up at the Essence Festival,” Kelly continued, “and wanted to talk about a number of things: How aggrieved she is, yes, you know that, and also how amazing she is.” She griped that people who seem aggrieved and people who claim to be amazing seem to go hand-in-hand. Given that the current conservative movement in the US and beyond seems heavily fortified by white grievance politics, it seems apparent that Kelly didn’t really consider the implications of her statements. Shocker. To hear Kelly say it, Mrs. Obama believes that she is amazing, but that some people don’t really understand her. During her talk, the former First Lady shared an anecdote about an early speech. The public reaction was much more to the tune of reacting to her outfit than it was the content of her speech. “Oh my God, she is dripping in narcissism… dripping in it. Would you at least feign some humility? Last month, her young adult son was detained in New Rochelle, NY for “criminal trespassing.” Gabriel was out for a run and saw that a gate was open and ran through it. Police planned to issue a criminal trespassing citation. When Sunny arrived, she identified herself, saying: “My name is Sunny Hostin and I’m one of the co-hosts of ‘The View’ and I’m a former federal prosecutor.” Was this just a case of a parent identifying themselves and hoping that their fame or experience with the law will help their kid? Not according to Kelly. “No one’s above the law, and everyone other than Sunny Hostin is swimming in privilege that she’s very pissed off about,” Kelly griped. “She doesn’t love our country,”she accused. “She feels threatened and unsafe when she sees a neighborhood full of American flags because the country’s been just so devastating to her.” Kelly’s rant continued: “Most people’s kids didn’t go to Harvard. Do you think her child got into Harvard completely on merit, or do you think she might have played the Sunny Hostin ‘View’ card to help him along?” “But she won’t acknowledge any of that,” she claimed. “No, it’s all about white privilege, which she talks about all the time on that show, and Trump is evil, and his voters are white supremacists.” So, to be clear, Kelly thinks that it’s outrageous that Hostin might use her privilege to help her young adult son. But she also thinks that it’s outrageous to point out privilege where it exists. Also, this is beside the point, but not all of Trump’s voters are white supremacists. Some are merely willing to accept white supremacy as a compromise with the devil in exchange for other goals, such as the closely related Christian nationalism, or moving the nation closer towards technofeudalism.
