The day after her disappearance, one note taunted: “Hello Savannah, we have your mother.” That note demanded $4 million in a bitcoin ransom in exchange for Nancy’s safe return. The note also contained details about the interior of Nancy’s home. “We never intended to hurt her, that was not our intention,” confessed another note, four days later. The second note admitted: “She perished shortly after she was taken. We believe it was heart related. She is buried in nature now.” "Hello Savannah, We have your mother Nancy." Speaking to CBS News at the time, he counted himself among those who wouldn’t rule out that Nancy might be alive. “I have nothing to indicate she’s dead,” Nanos said on Thursday, approximately six months after the first ransom note came in. “I don’t have a body,” he said accurately. Nanos added: “I don’t have a burial site.” The sheriff then claimed: “I don’t have any note.” Did he lie? It is entirely possible that Sheriff Nanos lied. Sharing a piece of misinformation — a small piece as part of a larger statement — is a sound policy when following an investigation, even if it means misleading the public. Many killers, kidnappers, terrorists, and more will monitor the news, either out of self-preservation or narcissism. A simple misstatement can, in rare cases, taunt a particularly hotheaded criminal into making a mistake — such as writing in to journalists or investigators to correct them. Remember how they caught the BTK killer. He was effectively taunted out of hiding, and then tricked into communicating. Statistically, most killers are not especially bright — especially not the ones who get caught. You do not, under any circumstances, “gotta hand it” to police, but that is a sound and safe approach to any missing person’s case. There were a lot of fake notes, and ending a search prematurely is a bad move. When the Titan submersible went silent, it was almost certainly because every member of the expedition — one of whom may have been an innocent, pressured into going by a parent — died in a fraction of a second as the ocean’s depths crushed them. But the search continued, just in case. Even without the note, it seems very likely that Nancy died shortly after her abduction. Whoever took her (the emphatic use of “we” in the kidnapping note seems to suggest just one culprit) could not have planned that. But it is entirely their fault — which is likely why that individual will live in fear of being caught every day until they are. As they say some are sicker than others.” Again, she didn’t mention Sid by name, but it’s worth noting that the members of Slipknot wear literal masks while performing on stage. According to authorities, Starr — best known for her appearances on Love & Hip Hop: New York — was taken into custody Sunday following an alleged incident at a hotel in Hapeville, just outside Atlanta. She was later booked into the Fulton County Jail on multiple felony charges, including sexual battery against a child under the age of 16, child molestation, and sodomy (via TMZ). Because the alleged victim is a minor, law enforcement officials have not disclosed additional information about the circumstances surrounding the case. As of this writing, no affidavit detailing the allegations has been made public, and investigators have not announced whether additional charges could be forthcoming. Starr has not publicly commented on the allegations, and it is unclear whether she has retained an attorney. Representatives for the reality star also have not issued a statement. The arrest comes while the famed transgender model was reportedly in the Atlanta area for a scheduled appearance connected to Industry Girl, a reality series on Ray J’s Tronix Network. She had been advertised as a host for the show’s reunion special, though it remains unclear whether that event ultimately took place. Starr first rose to prominence through social media before becoming a recurring personality on Love & Hip Hop. These days, he’s infamous for his “concern” about white birth rates, his endorsement of fascists, for ruining Twitter, and for how his grok AI being used to generate nude images of women and children. That last part is where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry come in. Musk’s xAI is suing to stop a Minnesota law against these “nudification” programs from going into effect. Yikes! In a statement on their Sussex.com site, Meghan and Harry absolutely skewered the former trillionaire without even mentioning his name. “Big Tech has taken shocking steps to limit restrictions on or accountability for these objectively predatory A.I. product features,” they correctly observed. “Most recently, ahead of the Minnesota law to ban ‘nudification’ apps going into effect tomorrow, the trillionaire leader of the tech company responsible for X’s Grok, sued the state of Minnesota to stop the law from going into place,” Harry and Meghan described. Though they did not name Musk, he was briefly valued by credulous investors at $1 trillion due to one of his hodgepodge companies, SpaceX, going public under relaxed restrictions. He is no longer a trillionaire by any measure. And, of course, his program is now the most infamous for producing nude renderings of women and especially of children. These are not harmless drawings, but realistic-looking depictions of real people. These images are used to harass or exact revenge upon these victims. Meghan and Harry mused about “why someone would try to stop a ban on AI technology producing deepfakes of people and children in the nude without their consent.” They then described multiple groups in the US and UK, including children. All of whom had filed suits against xAI’s grok. “The company is mitigating risk to their bottom line instead of aggressively responding to the clear evidence their product features are enabling predators to prey on women and children,” the couple observed. Meghan and Harry did not personally sign the statement, but instead posted it to their website. As for the laws against “nudification” programs, those are in places like Minnesota, Pennsylvania, North Dakota, and California. Obviously, there are many states — and countries — to go in passing similar legislation. Some ‘child safety’ laws do not protect, but laws against this tech will Why are they bringing this up? Well, first and foremost, because Meghan and Harry have dedicated a lot of their activism to promoting child safety. These “child internet safety” laws that keep passing in many cases do not make children safe — only more isolated. (Any law that requires people to show an ID and “prove” their age to be online is, at best, poorly conceived. At worst, it’s just a surveillance ploy. It will not keep kids safe, but it will make everything worse for adults.) But Meghan and Harry aren’t talking about online censorship or mass surveillance. They’re talking about how Musk’s company is suing to stop Minnesota to outlaw “nudification.” To hear the xAI legal team tell it, the laws against “nudification” are oppressing free speech. It would be easy to imagine a law that, by accident or malicious design, restricted actual art. Remember, real art is just a drawing, and has no victim. Feeding a photo of your coworker or your ex or a literal child into a program that renders a nude or further sexualized image of them is very different. But Minnesota’s law does not appear to be overbroad. We are not legal scholars, but it is our understanding that the laws target the underlying tech, making it clear that they’re not sending shock troops to raid art museums. That seems to be an issue that critics have with Minnesota’s law — that it targets this tech. All AI-generated slop images are bad. They’re environmentally destructive and they are repulsive, all built upon stolen images and stolen art. Just like how slop writing and slop answers are bad (and inaccurate). But we can acknowledge that slop that directly ruins lives as a tool of revenge and harassment is worse. Meghan and Harry are right to call out Musk. Naturally, this news had rumors circulating. Austen is somewhat rumor-prone, and his dating life tends to get dramatic. So, yes, people are interested. TMZ spoke to an inside source who explained what’s going on with Allie and Austen. The two met at BravoCon in 2025. Now, the July 25 interaction was not a date — even if it was friendly. Rather, they simply grabbed lunch while Austen happened to be in Austin. It sounds like they’re just friends. Or, if there’s something more going on, they’re very good at hiding it. She’s had a rough year Just a few months ago, Allie had a very dramatic breakup with Steven McBee Jr. So, Steven accused Allie of cheating on him at Stagecoach. (That is unconfirmed, of course. But, given his reaction, it sounds like no matter what did or did not happen, it’s good that she’s out of that relationship.) He also blasted her as a “hooker” and a “slut.” While slut can be a compliment, that doesn’t apply when it’s intended as an insult. Tragically, his girlfriend, Liron Barda, lost her life during the violence that unfolded on October 7 of that year. And this week, the tragedy compounded when Asraf died by suicide beside Barda’s grave. A bicycle was targeted and two young Palestinian militants were killed near the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel on October 7, 2023 in Gaza. According to the outlet, Barda was working as a bartender at the Nova festival when it was raided by Hamas terrorists. Instead of fleeing, she reportedly stayed behind to help wounded concertgoers and was killed as a result. Her father says he urged her to leave over the phone, but she insisted on helping those who had been injured. Asraf was also in attendance but managed to escape unharmed. Barda was just 26 at the time of her death. Asraf was 30. The October 7 attack left nearly 400 dead, with dozens more taken hostage. Those numbers, shocking as they are, pale in comparison to the devastation of Israel’s ensuing war with Palestine, which left an estimated 73,770 Palestinians dead, along with more than 2,039 Israelis (via Wikipedia). Asraf reportedly remained close with members of Barda’s family in the years since her tragic death. He was a regular visitor to her grave, but the family says they never gave any indication of being suicidal. Now, the iconic daytime talk series is about to have its milestone 30th season. Rosie has now confirmed that she’ll take part in it. On the Monday, August 3 episode of the Tangle With Kyle Ridley podcast, Rosie confirmed her plans for The View. On September 8, The View will premiere Season 30. Rosie plans to return to the series, albeit not for the whole season. The View is apparently planning a 30th anniversary special. In fact, in her interview, Rosie says that she will return “next year,” indicating some time in 2027. Rosie says that she plans to participate “in whatever way they want” for the anniversary. However, she emphasized that she will appear “just as a guest” and not as a panelist. “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics,” Rosie reflected. “I admired Whoopi, wanted to be on her team, had respect for her,” she explained of where her time on the show went awry. “And I expected we would be like Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan passing the ball back and forth, shooting and leading the team to victory.” Rosie acknowledged: “And that’s not exactly what happened.” She’ll never return as a full-time panelist According to Rosie, Whoopi “felt encroached upon in some way.” This, she says, is why their time as co-panelists “didn’t go so well.” At least, not like she’d expected. “I didn’t want it to be awkward and go on there and make it awkward,” Rosie expressed. “But I’ve seen Whoopi in the years past … and we’ve gotten past it,” she clarified. “We’re grown ass women,” Rosie affirmed. “She’s a woman who supports women, as am I.” Rosie also explained that “many people” have received “the short end of the stick” as panelists. “It was a factory where people were being churned in and out and [with] their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm,” she explained. The rock legend revealed this week that he once came so close to death that his five children were summoned to his hospital bedside to say goodbye. At the time, doctors feared Collins’ struggles with addiction have been well-documented, and doctors thought he might not survive a life-threatening health crisis brought on by a relapse into alcoholism. (Photo by Timothy Hiatt/Getty Images) Speaking to The Sunday Times, the 75-year-old recalled spending seven months hospitalized in Switzerland after his organs began shutting down. “There were some decisions to be made about, ‘Do we keep Phil on life support?’ kind of thing,” Collins said. “My kidneys were packing up, my organs were just seizing up. People were coming to say goodbye.” Collins added that he has no memory of those final visits. “But I don’t remember them coming. I didn’t have no idea this was going on,” he explained. “They were all worried that they wouldn’t see me again. It could all have gone so terribly wrong.” Collins was first admitted to the hospital in late 2023 after returning to heavy drinking. He was released shortly before Christmas but was hospitalized again just weeks later, eventually spending months recovering from the ordeal. The music icon is the father of five children: actress Lily Collins, actress and producer Joely Collins, musician Simon Collins, and sons Nicholas and Matthew Collins. Fortunately, Collins says the frightening experience became a turning point. He revealed that he has not had a drink since the medical emergency and considers himself incredibly fortunate to have survived. “I’ve just been lucky,” he said. The former Genesis frontman has battled a number of serious health issues in recent years. Long-standing nerve damage and spinal problems forced him to retire from touring in 2022 after he lost the ability to play the drums, and he now relies on around-the-clock nursing care at his home in Switzerland. Despite those challenges, Collins hasn’t completely closed the door on making music again. He told the newspaper that he’d still love to record if the inspiration strikes, though his physical limitations have made that increasingly difficult. In the music video, Ariana looks worryingly gaunt. Already existing discourse exploded on social media as a result. A lot of people are drawing comparisons to Karen Carpenter. Some have pointed out that Ariana appears more frail and sunken than Karen did a short time before her death. Many fear that history will repeat itself. This is terrifying. It has now been six months since Nancy disappeared from her home in Tucson, and police seem no closer to locating the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie or arresting the parties responsible for her kidnapping. On Friday, investigators released two ransom notes that were sent to Savannah and her family following Nancy’s disappearance. She is safe but scared. She will be held for ransom and once payment is received she will be released unharmed. We will be holding her for a maximum of 7 days,” reads the first note (via The Daily Mail). “You will need to send bitcoin in the amount of $4 million USD before 5PM on Thursday the 5th. If payment is not received, the ransom will be increased to 6 million USD which will need to be paid by 5PM on Monday the 9th,” the alleged kidnappers continued, adding: “Once payment is received to the bitcoin address below she will be released within 12 hours of deposit to a safe drop off location back in Tucson. If payment is not received by the last deadline on Monday the 9th at 5PM, she will be killed. “Your mother is aware of this and her life is in your hands. It is in the best interest of everyone to have this completed as soon as possible. You will not be able to contact me from here on out, there will be no negotiation. Do not play games, law enforcement will not be able to help you.” The author also contained details about the crime scene, seemingly with the goal of convincing the Guthrie family of the authenticity of the note: “She had a white smart watch on the floor of the foot of her bed and the white flood light in backyard was destroyed,” the note read. The second note claimed that Nancy “perished” not long after she was abducted. “Guthrie Family, We did not fully grasp the seriousness of her physical condition. We never intended to hurt her, that was not our intention. She perished shortly after she was taken,” the note read. “We believe it was heart related. She is buried in nature now. Nothing you could have done could have changed the outcome. We want your family to know this and hope you all can find peace. We are truly sorry.” The Pima County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement indicating that in spite of these revelations, they are still investigating the matter as though Nancy is still alive. “We have gathered a lot of evidence in this case and I wish you knew it, I wish the community could know all of the evidence, but that’s just not how investigations work,” Sheriff Chris Nanos said, adding: “Whether it’s this case or any case. We have an obligation, we have a duty and a responsibility, to protect that case and its integrity.” Savannah has issued public pleas to the kidnappers on several occasions, but it appears that she has not received a credible response. On Friday, July 31, TMZ reported that North has “pulled the plug” on a couple of her upcoming tour dates. Wednesday, August 5, she would have gone on stage for her first performance alongside rapper Molly Santana. The show was scheduled for Dallas, Texas. Now, however, Ticketmaster shows that the August 5 show is canceled. And it’s only the first. Ticketmaster also shows that North’s August 17 performance in Toronto has been canceled. Previously, there had been a website to promote the “Kimokawaii” tour. That site appears to be gone — as if it had never existed at all. Maybe it will return. Or maybe not. Normally, if the tour is still happening, you make it known. Is that hope on the horizon? Interestingly, North and Molly were supposed to perform on August 25 in San Francisco. That tour is not officially canceled, as of early Friday afternoon. Ticketmaster still has the two scheduled to perform at “The Midway” venue on that date. However, anyone looking forward to attending might want to look for word from North … or, dare we say it, from an adult … for added clarity. At the very least, many folks may consider that performance to be in limbo at present. Did you know that North has a music career? Her album came out in May. North’s famous family has been very supportive. Obviously. Releasing an album and playing concerts at 13 happens if you are a singular talent or if your family is extremely wealthy and supportive. In recent years, Romo has launched a second career as one of the most beloved broadcasters in the world of sports media. CBS’ first regular season broadcast will take place on September 13, during Week 1 of the NFL season. Former Pittsburgh Steeler and second-year broadcaster J.J. Watt is currently slated to take Romo’s place in the broadcast booth alongside Jim Nantz. Romo was returning from the Wisconsin Amateur Championship golf tournament when he was pulled over while traveling south on Interstate 43. According to a citation, Romo “drove in the marked right distress lane to pass vehicles in lanes 1 and 2 during rush hour traffic” before he “cut across the marked gore.” Though he told officers that he had had “zero” drinks, he was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests. Video of Romo’s arrest has left social media users divided, with some claiming that the former QB did not appear to be intoxicated, while others alleged that he was glassy-eyed and slow to react. Though clearly baffled at being pulled over, Romo was courteous with police throughout the encounter. “Because I’m coming from a golf course, you think I’m drunk?” he asked at one point. In a different citation viewed by the Post, one officer reported that Romo had an “open bottle of an alcoholic beverage” located on the passenger side of his Jeep, and he “refused to take test for intoxication after arrest.” According to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office, the allegations against Romo constitute “a traffic violation and not a criminal charge in Wisconsin.” The 46-year-old is scheduled for a court hearing on September 21, but is not required to attend. He is facing a total of $1,568.50 in fines. Romo has yet to publicly comment on the situation, and it’s unclear at this time if he will eventually be reinstated at CBS. She and Jennie launched their rewatch podcast in 2020. We can all think about how much has happened in that time and how much Tori’s life, in particular, has evolved as they walked down memory lane. Tori offered only the vague explanation that she plans to pursue other projects. She did, however, encourage fans to continue to listen to Jennie’s now-solo takes on Beverly Hills, 90210 episodes. Us Weekly confirmed that Tori “has not participated on the podcast in recent weeks.” However, that same report immediately stressed that Jennie “is passionately excited to continue to rewatch.” Yes, we would imagine so. “She plans to rewatch it to the end,” the report assured. “And, the report then teased, Jennie will “include special guests and guests co-hosts from the series.” They stopped on Season 8 … out of 10 Tori and Jennie were on Season 8 of the series. Considering that this 10-season series ran from 1990 until 2000 — a very impressive run with few parallels — that’s an odd place to stop. If your podcast isn’t popping off, you might call it quits in Season 3. If you’ve had a great run, you stop at the series finale. Stopping at Season 8, when you’re so close to the end, isn’t about the podcast. It means that there’s either something external to do … or a piece of personal friction. However, Tori encouraging people to keep watching Jennie’s recaps seems like an effort to quash interpersonal conflict rumors. There may be evidence that Tori is jumping ship because she wants to work with a different former co-star. Some of her recent posts have featured Brian Austin Green. Are they working on a collab? Fans of the podcast, meanwhile, have voiced their frustration on social media, wondering why Tori and Jennie alike seem to be keeping people in the dark. Is it their business? Yes. But if they expect people to follow along with their projects, some transparency is not unreasonable. Dr. Fauci’s name in the news apparently had Nicki Minaj thinking back to her own famously unhinged vaccine skepticism in 2021. At the time. the head of the US COVID-19 pandemic response had gently cautioned her against promoting vaccine hesitancy. Five years later, the Trump collaborator is openly posting a fantasy about him suffering, while blaming him for … what, exactly? Let’s take a look. (Photo Credit: Win McNamee/Getty Images) ‘The collective pain & long term ramifications …’ In a tweet on Thursday, July 30, Minaj took aim at Dr. Fauci alongside a hideous slop portrayal of him as a ’90s teen. “Feeding tubes will be his portion,” she fantasized. “He will lose the ability to speak.” Minaj continued: “& then & only then will he feel the collective pain & long term ramifications he caused to [newborns], young children who are still trying to become acclimated into society & schools.” Her list went on: “Traumatized pregnant women who couldn’t even have family in the delivery rooms & visits, the elderly who died alone & afraid, young ppl still struggling w/mental health, suicide, people turned away from hospitals at their most vulnerable moments.” Shifting into rambling mode, Minaj wrote: “the trust that is now gone from innocent people toward their governments forever.” On July 30, 2026, Nicki Minaj seemed to blame Dr. Anthony Fauci for a lot of things that seem like they were beyond his, perhaps anyone’s, control in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. (Image Credit: twitter) She complained about “billions of stolen money from hard working tax payers via con artists.” Minaj alleged: “I’ve been struggling to find the humor in any of this.” Her tweet concluded: “God bless everyone who made it to the other side. You’re stronger than you thought. God is in control.” Some of Minaj’s tweet is a little difficult to parse. However, it appears that she is saying that COVID restrictions during the final year of Trump’s first term were more destructive than the deadly virus that, even with restrictions, killed over 9 million people and disabled countless more. Attempting to refer to constructing an Ark, as if to escape a mythical flood, Nicki Minaj suggests vaccine hesitancy regarding booster shots. Great. (Image Credit: twitter) She meant to write ‘Nicki’s Ark’ In a follow-up tweet, Minaj once again expressed her vaccine hesitancy, this time by misspelling the work “ark” repeatedly. “Once they started telling yall to get a new booster shot every 5 to 10 business days like it was the new Jordans droppin?!?!!!!!!! That’s when I knew,” she wrote. “I went in my backyard & started building the Arc. Nicki’s Arc,” Minaj wrote. “I know the Lord won’t send another flood but still.” Most people are aware a virus that is allowed to mutate uncontrollably will require additional vaccines to help the immune system recognize and target the virus more quickly. Old antibodies might not immediately target a new version of the virus. Minaj, who once claimed that the COVID-19 vaccine had caused a man’s testicles to swell to extreme size and thus canceled his wedding (an investigation by the government found that no such event took place), does not seem to understand the concept. So, what’s going on with her? Some people believe that Minaj has cynically sold her soul to the Trump regime, endorsing fascism and coddling white supremacy in exchange for various political favors. Others believe that she simply feels entitled to government responsiveness, blaming California Governor Gavin Newsom for not doing enough to halt harassment, including SWATting, that targeted her home, setting her down a weird downward spiral into conservatism. There is also the theory that it simply began with her weird reaction to COVID. There are definitely some people who disconnected from reality over pandemic fears and had kneejerk contrarian reactions to the idea that they should bear any inconvenience for the safety and protection of others. But, as Matt Bernstein and his guests suggest in the video above, perhaps the most likely explanation is that Minaj was, deep down, always like this. Reading Time: 2 minutes During a recent appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Meghan Markle made a passing remark about Prince Harry’s military service. And because everything she does is subject to intense scrutiny and criticism, the Duchess of Sussex might be regretting those remarks today. The topic came up when Meghan reflected on getting through life’s difficult moments by recalling advice her husband once shared with her. (Photo by Diego Cuevas/Getty Images) “But you know, he was a helicopter pilot in the British Army for 10 years,” Meghan said (via Radar Online). “And sometimes, on really hard days, he said, ‘Hey, but my love, you know, even if there’s a storm happening, above the storm the sun’s always shining.'” The remark quickly caught the attention of royal watchers, who argued that Meghan’s description blurred the line between Harry’s overall military service and the years he actually spent flying helicopters. To be clear, there is no dispute that Harry served in the British Army for roughly a decade. He entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 2005 and remained in military service until 2015, eventually leaving with the rank of Captain. However, his aviation career began several years after he enlisted. Harry started formal helicopter flight training in 2009, earned his wings in 2010, qualified as an Apache co-pilot gunner in 2012, and later became an Apache Aircraft Commander in 2013. He flew operational missions during his second deployment to Afghanistan before transitioning to a desk assignment in 2014. Critics therefore argued that describing him as a helicopter pilot for the entirety of his 10-year military career was inaccurate. The interview sparked debate online, with several commenters insisting Meghan had exaggerated Harry’s credentials. One Reddit user wrote, “He did not serve as a pilot for 10 years because in his earlier years of service he hadn’t done that training.” Another added that Harry “served for 10 years in the Army, not as a helicopter pilot.” One commenter even went so far as to accuse Meghan of “stolen valor.” Another person claimed, “Suspicious. I don’t think he was allowed to fly on his own, only as a co-pilot. And he doesn’t seem to have a license now. We never heard of him flying after the military like William,” Others suggested the statement was likely a simple mix-up between the length of Harry’s military service and the years he spent flying military helicopters. Harry has long described his decade in the Army as one of the most meaningful periods of his life. The Duke of Sussex completed two deployments to Afghanistan, although only the second came after he had qualified to fly Apache helicopters. Reading Time: 3 minutes Almost exactly six months ago, Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped and held for ransom. It is widely believed that she died shortly after her abduction. DNA evidence thus far seems to be a dead end. A man is preparing to sue authorities for his wrongful detention and the ransacking of his family home. (Photo Credit: Joe Raedle/Getty Images) DNA evidence is a bust so far On Thursday, July 30, investigators for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) confirmed that the hair sample found at Nancy’s abode did not lead to a suspect. Authorities did not disclose much about the hair sample, including where in Nancy’s home they may have found it. It is possible that the hair is suspicious but did not turn up any matches in their search, almost exactly six months after the fact. Alternatively, it seems possible that the PCSD did determine whose hair it was — only to find that the individual is not a suspect. Remember, we all leave epithelial cells, hair samples, and fingerprints just about everywhere. Most crime scenes, especially residential ones, are home to countless samples from friends and loved ones. Just over a week after Nancy vanished, police detained Carlos Palazuelos. An attorney representing Palazuelos and two family members filed a notice of claim on Monday, July 27. This is the formal precursor to a lawsuit against the PCSD. According to his filing, Palazuelos was held “without probable cause” for seven to eight hours after being pulled over. Meanwhile, news of his seizure was spread far and wide. “Carlos’ arrest was made in a public fashion that was intended to damage Carlos’ reputation and subject him to humiliation and suspicion by implicating Carlos in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie,” the notice of claim describes. Palazuelos is not the only member of his family highlighting the outrageous behavior by the PCSD. Carlos Palazuelos wants his name publicly cleared The notice also describes how men in military gear pointed guns at family member Daniel Maddox and “ransacked” the home. Maddox was removed from the residence, forced to the ground, and handcuffed. The fruitless raid resulted in “significant property damage” including breaking the front door, the door frame, ceiling tiles, the attic entrance, and more. In addition to not turning up any evidence, the lawsuit notes that the detention and home search were based upon “false and baseless evidence.” Family attorney Jesse Showalter affirmed: “Whatever this purported evidence was that the sheriff’s department used to obtain the search warrant, it’s wrong. It’s not good evidence.” Additionally, the PCSD has refused to clear Palazuelos’ name. There are, obviously, paranoid conspiracy theorists who are convinced that he is a suspect. The family will file a lawsuit, seeking $2.5 million for Palazuelos, $500,000 for Maddox, and $250,000 for Josefina Maddox, who owns the house. Additionally, they want Palazuelos’ name cleared publicly. Many of us can imagine the horror of our homes being ransacked for no apparent reason, our loved ones manhandled or handcuffed without any clear cause, and all for nothing. Unless investigators are holding onto some secret belief that Palazuelos is involved, it’s unclear why they would not seek to clear his name. (Also, it’s generally the municipality, not the department, that pays to settle these cases — taxpayers pay while officers sued for wrongdoing often face no repercussions.) But she gained a fan in Lara Trump, the wife of Eric Trump. And apparently, Lara has been exploring the idea of collaborating with the Grammy-nominated rapper for what would undoubtedly become one of the most talked-about musical pairings in recent memory. According to journalist Rob Shuter, the notion of a Nicki-Lara collaboration is “much more than a passing idea.” One source alleged that Lara has been leading the conversations. “Lara is definitely driving this,” the insider claimed (via Radar Online). “She made the first move, they’ve been talking, and Nicki hasn’t shut the door. This is much more than a passing idea.” Another source said ideas have already been exchanged, even if the project has yet to move beyond the discussion stage. “Everyone involved knows it would create an enormous amount of buzz,” the insider claimed. “Whether people stream it because they love it or because they can’t believe it exists is beside the point.” For now, no recording sessions or release dates have been announced, and neither Minaj nor Trump has publicly commented on the report. The alleged collaboration would be another unexpected chapter in Lara Trump’s music career. Although she first gained national attention through politics and television, Trump has spent the past several years releasing music across multiple genres. After debuting with a cover of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down” in 2023, she expanded into original material before later experimenting with pop and dance tracks, including collaborations with French Montana and Mohamed Ramadan. Nicki, meanwhile, has made headlines in recent years not only for her music but also for her increasingly vocal support of President Donald Trump. Once viewed as largely apolitical, the rapper has embraced the MAGA movement and has publicly praised the president, making a potential collaboration with Lara Trump seem less far-fetched than it might have appeared just a few years ago.
