Reading Time: 2 minutes On Thursday, we reported the sad news that Kris Jenner’s mother, Mary Jo “MJ” Campbell, had died at the age of 91. The beloved matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan made numerous appearances on the family’s reality shows over the years, and her death was widely mourned across social media. The post was captioned simply, “Lake life,” and made no mention of Mary Jo. Not surprisingly, Kim caught some serious backlash from fans who wondered why she seemed to be so indifferent to her grandmother’s death. “Didn’t your grandmama just pass? This couldn’t wait to the weekend?” one follower wrote (via Us Weekly). “I’m so confused,” another added. “Somebody’s publicist is getting fired,” a third commenter chimed in. Others were more compassionate, noting that Kim’s post had clearly been scheduled well in advance of MJ’s death. “Do you guys really think she would post this intentionally at the same time as the news of her grandma passing? It’s clearly a scheduled post. Get a grip,” wrote one such user. Kim later confirmed that that version of events was accurate. “This post was scheduled a few days ago before we lost MJ, so its timing came right alongside her passing,” she wrote in the comments. “I’ve been by my mom and grandma’s side this past week, and my heart is completely with my family right now. We love and miss her so deeply, and in the days ahead, we’ll be focusing on celebrating her beautiful life.” Clearly, this was a case of a minor social media mix-up, and we’re sure Kim’s grief for her beloved grandmother is genuine. She and MJ famously enjoyed quite a close relationship, and right now, Kim is likely focusing on being there for Kris, who has now lost both parents. Reading Time: 2 minutes A terrifying incident unfolded on the set of the Today show this morning. According to multiple reports, an intruder managed to bypass security at NBC’s 30 Rockefeller Plaza studios on Thursday morning before confronting host Craig Melvin in a restricted area. The man allegedly lunged at Melvin while shouting a racial slur, prompting a swift response from security and police. Law enforcement sources say the incident unfolded shortly after 9 a.m. when a 41-year-old man entered an unauthorized area near Studio 1A. The suspect reportedly asked staff members for Al Roker before encountering Melvin instead. According to TMZ, the suspect, who has been identified as Andrew Truelove, was subdued when security personnel and an NYPD officer working at Rockefeller Center quickly intervened and took the man into custody. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. In a statement released after the incident, NBC confirmed there had been a security breach at the Today studio. “There was a security incident this morning at the Today show studio,” the network said. “An individual entered an unauthorized area in a vestibule near Studio 1A. The person approached anchor Craig Melvin, who alerted security.” NBC added that the suspect was detained by law enforcement “without further incident,” stressing that “there was no altercation, and no one was injured.” The network also said it is cooperating with authorities while reviewing its security procedures. “NBC and TODAY take the safety and security of our employees, talent, staff and guests extremely seriously,” the statement continued. “We are reviewing the incident and our security protocols and remain committed to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone who works at and visits our studios.” Although the frightening encounter reportedly caused Melvin to miss the opening moments of the show’s third hour, he returned to the broadcast later that morning and did not publicly address what had happened on-air. Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer also resumed the program after the incident. The security breach has nevertheless raised serious questions about how an unauthorized individual was able to gain access to a restricted area inside one of television’s most recognizable studios. (Image Credit: YouTube) ‘She’s still protecting him’ On this week’s episode of her Plan Bri Uncut podcast, which is not as sexual as the title might imply, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia called out Bunnie’s public declarations that women should slide into her ex’s DMs. “She doesn’t mean that,” LaPaglai declared. “She’s still under the mind control of” her ex, whose real name is Jason DeFord. “And this is why I know that she doesn’t mean that because all of her closest friends are reposting — like her girls that you always see her with — They’re reposting the most asinine, crazy, insulting videos” about her ex. “And,” LaPaglia continued, “how he’s the worst person and how people only like him because of Bunnie.” LaPaglia speculated: “Bunnie is just doing the thing where she’s still protecting him. I went through that at a point too, where it’s like you’re not fully stepped out of the situation yet.” “She just still wants to protect him,” LaPaglia said of Bunnie. “She’s going to step out of this a year from now and be like, ‘Holy f–king s–t, Jelly Belly f–king lost weight, and the second he drops weight, take it for what it actually is,’” she predicted. According to LaPaglia, when DeFord lost a massive amount of weight, he made up for it with “his ego” and is now looking for someone new. “He thought that he can do better,” she speculated. “He can date someone younger,” LaPaglia pointed out. Many, many men with wealth and fame look for a “newer model” of wife after a while. “He’s going to go for a tradwife,” LaPaglia grimly prognosticated. “One hundred percent gonna go for a tradwife.” ‘You dropped the weight on your belly and now you dropped the weight of Bunnie’ The tradwife plans are a pretty serious allegation. This is a demeaning, arguably subhuman gender role that is sometimes romanticized by dishonest folks on apps aimed at teens. There are sinister cultural forces at work that hope that some women will play into what’s essentially a sexual fetish, depriving themselves of their own resources and work opportunities until their husbands almost inevitably dump them for a new, younger tradwife. Speaking of sinister cultural forces, LaPaglia also alleged that DeFord has a bigoted motive behind the divorce. Bunnie worked as a sex worker years ago. LaPaglia suspects that anti-sex work bias, perhaps in tandem with DeFord’s renewed interest in Christianity. “Hey buddy, you were the one that got with an escort,” LaPaglia said. “She was an escort. She’s talked about it.” “You were a drug addict and you were going to prison and in and out of jail,” LaPaglia continued, as if speaking to DeFord. “Now your morals don’t align with it because you’re f–king skinny?” she exclaimed. “You dropped the weight on your belly and now you dropped the weight of Bunnie, who, I think was the only like redeeming and beautiful quality about Jelly Roll,” LaPaglia characterized. That is harsh. It is also how many people feel — including, it seems, some of Bunnie’s closest friends. Is LaPaglia right about DeFord feeling that he can “upgrade” to a new wife now that he’s wildly successful and wildly smaller, that he wants a tradwife with no ideas or input of her own? This isn’t another unexpected absence. Instead, Guthrie is taking time away for an exciting new career opportunity. During the show’s “PopStart” segment, Carson Daly reminded viewers that NBC is bringing the wildly popular Wordle word game to television, with Guthrie serving as host. “And you’ve got some news about Wordle,” Daly said before turning things over to his colleague. Guthrie then revealed exactly why she’ll be disappearing from viewers’ morning routines. “We’re about to do it,” she said. “Guys, I’m headed over to shoot Wordle. Over the next few weeks, we’re gonna shoot the whole season, and we’re super excited. Cannot wait for everyone to see it.” She added that the series is expected to premiere sometime in the new year. Sharing a fingers crossed emoji, Britney write that this could be “hopefully this year.” Britney teased: “And if not the most beautiful things will never be seen!!!!!” Taking a more mysterious turn, she wrote: “Come what may… oh so near but the feet I feel lived too much in fear so the soil of ground that silence suspends is where I’m found yet there begin!!!! In addition, Britney shared a phtoo of her holding hands with her younger adult son, Jayden. Does she want more kids? Yes It is no secret that Britney would like to have more kids. For over a dozen years, the conservatorship that pumped her full of unwanted medication against her will and controlled every aspect of her life — from whether she could have a soda to when she went on vacation — also prevented her from having more kids. You don’t get your life back when years have been taken from you. And there is a certain point at which conception becomes more difficult, and pregnancy becomes more dangerous. Britney did conceive with ex-husband Sam Asghari. However, the two shared in 2022 that they suffered a tragic miscarriage. In June, Britney admitted that she would still like to have another baby some day. Is that what Britney is talking about with this post? Maybe. But we don’t think that Britney is announcing that she’s pregnant, here. If so, she’s only teasing it. She could be speaking aspirationally. Britney could also be referring to someone else being pregnant. When people post sort of vague, poetic things to social media, it’s tempting to treat it like it’s a message to decode into prose. That sort of depends upon whom you ask. A new report says that Brad Pitt believes that Angelina Jolie, not his own actions, turned the kids against him? Boldly, the source added that “any parent intentionally excluded from their children’s lives as punishment is obviously going to be upset by it.” Intentionally excluded as punishment is a wild and, frankly, entitled response from someone whose adult children have cut ties with him. Though that line appears to be detached from reality, other aspects of the report at least partially acknowledge the truth. “None of the kids respect Brad because of what he has done to their mother,” the insider acknowledged. Skipping over the events of the 2016 flight that ended the marriage, the source simply shared: “They remember how awful it was when they were married, all the fights and drama.” Don’t worry — the commentary loses its hinges and begins flailing about very quickly. “This very sad situation is the result of a deliberate, devastating, harmful alienation campaign against the kids’ father by the mother,” claimed the first insider. To be clear, there is no evidence of any “alienation campaign.” Unless this insider meant to say that Pitt alienated his children alongside his wife, but that does not seem to be the claim here. ‘They feel bad for their mom’ Despite repeated claims that Angelina Jolie has somehow hypnotized her kids against their dad instead of them just having a healthy and rational response to his behavior, the second source does allow that he’s continued to drive them away even after the breakup. ‘They hate that Brad has been so difficult with Miraval,” the second insider admitted, referring to the ugly lawsuit that Pitt launched. “They feel he is punishing their mother with the constant bickering over money from the winery,” the source continued. It is a very common belief that, when their divorce (which took longer than their actual marriage lasted) finally ended, Pitt used the winery lawsuit in a vindictive campaign against his ex. However, we cannot claim to know the inner workings of his mind. “She has had to spend a fortune on lawyers,” the insider acknowledged, “and they feel bad for their mom.” Another issue is that Jolie has been an actual loving parent to her children, and has “built a very positive and creative world for them, and they are grateful.” The second source continued: “She is even helping them build their careers, which Brad has never done. Maddox, Pax and Vivienne are thriving behind the scenes in showbusiness.” Meanwhile, the insider says that Pitt feels that he is in an “impossible position as more of his children have chosen to drop his last name.” The source added: “He views the situation as deeply painful and believes Angelina’s role in how things unfolded is the ultimate betrayal.” Pitt is entitled to view things however he likes. But blaming others for the natural consequences of your own decisions, behavior, and actions doesn’t sound like a good way to go through life. The good news is that they were able to rush her to get help at an Arizona medical facility. The bad news is that Armando was turned away at the border, unable to even visit during this family crisis. (Photo Credit: TLC) ‘Unfortunately, I can’t be there’ On Tuesday, July 14, Armando took to his Instagram page to share the devastating news with 90 Day Fiance fans. Hannah, who is now 13, had said that she was not feeling well. Armando explained that he noted that her face was “droopy” and that half of her body “had no strength.” He took her to the doctor immediately. However, the small town in Mexico where their family lives didn’t have the facilities to test and possibly treat her for these alarming symptoms. His mother was able to go with Hannah to Arizona on an ambulance. Doctors were able to discover a brain bleed, and are investigating further. Hannah was then airlifted to intensive care in Phoenix. Kenneth was attending a family funeral in Ohio when this went down. When Armando shared the post, he was already on his way to be with Hannah. “Unfortunately, I can’t be there, which is the hardest part of it all,” Armando then shared. He asked if any of his followers (a sizable group from all walks of life) knew anyone at any Mexican embassy or consulate. He is in need of an emergency travel visa. Armando had tried a more direct route to cross the border, but a Customs and Border Protection supervisor had told him that no temporary humanitarian paroles had been granted since 2025. Simply put, the Trump regime’s war on any and all legal immigration focuses heavily upon Mexico and South America. People who normally sign off on these things are either under orders to let no one across, or could technically do so but fear backlash from white nationalists within the regime. ‘I am doing everything within my power to be reunited with her’ Speaking to Page Six on Wednesday, July 15, Armando pleaded his case. “Every parent wants to be at their child’s bedside when they’re sick, and not being able to hold her hand or comfort her has been the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced,” he expressed. “It feels like we’ve been separated when she needs her dad the most,” Armando added. “I am doing everything within my power to be reunited with her,” he affirmed. Armando continued: “Because, more than anything, she needs her daddy, and I need to be with my little girl.” Armando did share that he is in the process of obtaining a spousal visa and has an immigration attorney helping. However, given the political horrors of our time, this process could take years. Hopefully Hannah will be better and fully recovered soon. Armando may need to wait until 2029 or beyond to get any movement on a visa unless a diplomat is able to do him a solid. Reluctantly, Armando also shared a link to a GoFundMe page that a friend created. Healthcare is prohibitively expensive for many families, and a lot of people would like to help Kenny, Armando, and Hannah however they can. We wish this wonderful family the absolute best. After multiple convictions, the disgraced rapper will be in prison until 2045. Unless Donald Trump lets him out of prison early, as he has with so many other criminals. Disgraced singer R. (Photo Credit: Scott Olson/Getty Images) He is not having a good time in prison This year, attorneys representing the disgraced rapper, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, filed a formal request with the Office of the Pardon Attorney in the US Department of Justice. They are asking the Trump regime, and more specifically Donald Trump himself, to commute the disgraced rapper’s prison sentence. At present, Kelly is expecting to be released from prison in 2045. By that time, if he remains alive, he will be nearly 79 years old. Kelly’s case is complex and involves multiple convictions. In his request, Kelly is asking Donald Trump to use executive clemency, a controversial yet unfortunately important political power to commute his sentence. At present, the request is listed as “pending” on the Office of the Pardon Attorney’s website. In 2025, Kelly’s attorney accused federal authorities of conspiring to steal the disgraced rapper’s mail. His legal team also alleged that federal authorities both pressured witnesses to testify and recruited a white supremacist to kill him behind bars. (This alleged assassination plot by the federal government does not sound terribly plausible; Kelly does not challenge any existing power structures.) Will Trump do it? Kelly was convicted in 2021 for violations of the Mann Act and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). In 2022, he was convicted for the production of child sex-abuse material. His combined sentences span about 31 years. Kelly is incarcerated at FCI Butner Medium I, a federal prison facility in the small town of Butner in the middle of northern North Carolina. With luck, he’ll remain there for almost all of the next two decades. But what if fortune is not so kind? Donald Trump appears to be a man consumed with the appearance of importance and displays of what looks to him to be strength. What he values most in others is loyalty, even to the point of grading deceased political allies after their sudden deaths. Many believe that Savannah Chrisley’s outspoken support of him led to the pardons for her horrible parents. In other cases, pardons or commutations followed sizable donations to Trump, directly or indirectly. Ultimately, few can say what Trump will do. It is up to his capricious whims, and there is little to no recourse once executive clemency is implemented. Kelly presumably has very little to offer Trump at this point, either financially or in terms of optics and star power. With that in mind, one can only hope that nothing comes of this request. R. His daughters are now 15 and 8. She hasn’t brought them back, as they’d agreed. Savchenko is asking the court to set things right. The professional dancer shares two daughters, Olivia and Zlata, with his ex-wife, Elena Samodanova. When the former spouses split, they agreed that the girls would temporarily relocate to Hong Kong with their mom. According to Savchenko’s filing, both daughters were supposed to return to the United States by June 30, 2024. When that never happened, he writes in his filing, Samodanova refused to return them. And he says that he has paperwork to back things up. According to Savchenko’s filing, his ex-wife signed a Post Judgment Agreement in 2023. That agreement allowed her to “temporarily” move both children with her to Hong Kong. This was to last for a period of one year, and was simply so that she could work on a project in the area. But Savchenko accuses his ex of having “obtained permanent Hong Kong residency, enrolled the children in an expensive private school, got the children a cat, became engaged, and had another child with her fiance.” All of this amounts to putting down roots on the other side of the planet, he argues. He says that Olivia does not want to return to her mother “This has functionally forced me to travel to Hong Kong each year to visit my children,” Savchenko lamented in the filing. He says that this is something “which I have consistently done despite Elena’s efforts taken to drastically limit my access to our daughters.” As such, he is asking the court for “temporary sole legal and sole physical custody” of Olivia, who is 15, pending further court involvement. According to Savchenko, this is what Olivia wants. (In the US, a 15-year-old is generally given real input in their custody situation, with some exceptions such as child safety.) His filing says his ex has made verbally abusive and disparaging comments to their daughter. He also writes that he fears Olivia’s wrongful retention or even abduction if she is forced to spend time with Samodanova. For now, Savchenko is focusing on his request for full custody on Olivia, as she is currently with him. 8-year-old Zlata seems to still be with Samodanova. The court has ordered both exes to attend a child custody mediation on August 5, followed by a formal hearing later that month. Most child-abduction cases are from parents or relatives, often due to custody disputes. International custody spats can be particularly painful. Sometimes, one parent wrongfully retains kids because it’s the only way to keep them safe. Other times, a bad parent wrongfully retains the children because, if they follow the rules, the courts will protect their children from them. But many cases involve parents who love their children but no longer love one another. The kids are just caught in between. Though someone else is carrying the basket, Amanda is the one loading it up with goods. She adds three large jaws of pickles to the cart, followed by two cartons of vanilla ice cream. It isn’t just that, statistically, both pickles and ice cream are high on the list of pregnancy cravings. (A number of biological factors can cause food cravings. In the case of pregnancy, the placenta releases hormones into the prospective parent’s body, altering moods and leeching nutrients.) It’s that “pickles and ice cream” is shorthand for pregnancy cravings. It’s extremely stereogypical. With that in mind, it seems clear that Amanda is poking fun at the rumors about her. Either that, or she’s confirming them. Either way, the general public took this as a tongue-in-cheek riff on the whispers. And they were not amused. Some commenters name-dropped Ciara Commenters expressed their disapproval in various ways. “Coming from someone with infertility issues, this isn’t funny,” one wrote. It was reported on Tuesday night that Kim had been rushed to a nearby hospital following a medical emergency at her home. The 911 dispatcher cites a caller who says that their aunt “cut her wrist” and was “currently sitting on the couch bleeding.” Kim was successfully treated first by emergency services personnel and then at a hospital near her home in Michigan. The incident has been classified as a suicide attempt, but details of the events leading up to the 911 call are still scarce. In May, Kim was arrested on DUI charges just days after she appeared in court for a hearing related to a previous DUI arrest. In June, a warrant was issued for Kim’s arrest after she skipped a hearing related to her second DUI incident. That could be true, but it’s not necessary. It also isn’t particularly important. We have to emphasize that, by far, the majority of victims of sexual abuse do not go on to become predators. Additionally, most predators are not themselves victims. This is a damaging myth that sometimes makes survivors reluctant to come forward, for fear of prejudice and unwarranted suspicion. Others believe that William is steering clear for political reasons, noting that England’s star player, Harry Kane, is on friendly terms with Donald Trump. That theory seems a bit far-fetched, as William has never voiced any strong opinions about the current state of American politics. No, the most likely theory — uninteresting though it may be — is that prior commitments have prevented William from making the trans-Atlantic trip. Reading Time: 2 minutes No matter how bad a week you’re having, we think it’s safe to say Indiana native Christopher Peden’s has been worse. His bizarre and deeply disturbing case out of Indiana has left authorities with more questions than answers. And before we go any further, we’d like to warn you that this story is not for the faint of heart. An Indiana man has been arrested after allegedly chopping off his own junk. (Fort Wayne Police Department) Peden, a 36-year-old Fort Wayne resident, is facing a felony arson charge after police say he cut off his own genitals, doused them with gasoline, and set them on fire inside his mother’s detached garage, sparking a blaze that damaged the property. According to court records obtained by People, Peden was charged with one count of Level 4 felony arson stemming from the shocking May 6 incident. Firefighters were called to a garage fire while police were simultaneously investigating what they initially believed was a stabbing. Authorities say Peden first claimed he had been attacked somewhere in downtown Fort Wayne and told officers someone had threatened him the previous day. But after he was taken to a hospital, investigators say he admitted the story wasn’t true. Instead, according to charging documents, Peden allegedly confessed that he entered the detached garage around 2 a.m., used a kitchen knife to sever his own genitals, poured gasoline over them and ignited them on the garage floor before walking away from the scene. Investigators reportedly recovered a red gasoline container, four lighters and the kitchen knife from inside the garage. The case became even more puzzling after Peden’s brother told investigators the detached garage had no electrical service and contained little more than a small gasoline can used for a lawn mower. A neighbor reportedly woke the family after spotting the fire, allowing emergency crews to respond before it spread further. Authorities have not publicly disclosed what may have motivated Peden’s alleged actions. Online court records show Peden was released after posting a $10,000 surety bond on July 7. He is scheduled to appear in court again for a hearing on August 31. Court records also indicate Peden has a prior conviction in Allen County related to operating while intoxicated. As the criminal case moves forward, investigators have not released any additional details explaining what led to the alleged incident. According to court filings and Carroll’s legal team, more than $5.6 million has now been released to her after sitting in a court-controlled account throughout Trump’s appeals process. Carroll confirmed the payment in a public statement, writing that she had finally received the money awarded to her by the jury. Her attorney, Roberta Kaplan, also confirmed the funds had been transferred, calling it the conclusion of one chapter in a legal battle that has stretched on for years. The case stemmed from Carroll’s allegations that Trump sexually assaulted her inside a Manhattan department store dressing room in the mid-1990s before later defaming her by publicly denying her claims. In May 2023, a federal jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation, though not liable for rape under New York’s legal definition in effect at the time. The jury awarded Carroll $5 million in damages. Trump has consistently denied Carroll’s allegations and has repeatedly characterized the lawsuits as politically motivated. It seems that guests were already ansty following a ceremony that patience and bladders (the Mail alleges that Taylor and Travis each recited vows that ran over 20 minutes in length). And the restlessness continued into the ceremony: “I couldn’t believe that there was a buffet at the wedding of the year,” one guest told the outlet, noting that billionaires and celebrities are not accustomed to queueing up in front of a row of steam trays. “That felt like such a tacky move… amazing A-listers having to stand in line. It wasn’t quite what I expected.” “It was really bizarre,” one insider told the Daily Mail. “Straight after the ceremony, Taylor and Travis did a raffle and gave out expensive gifts for an hour. Everyone was weirded out,” the guest continue, adding: “It was a circus meet-and-greet. Everyone kind of felt like, why are they giving away Chanel bags as if we are all their poor fans? It was pretty demeaning. It killed the vibe. The Mail also spoke with a guest who did enjoy the raffle. Although the outlet noted that that person’s perception might have been influenced by the fact that they won a pricey Chanel bag. He claimed that this was “in order to fix the scars and damage that was done by the Vandals two weeks ago.” (We have not altered Trump’s distinct brand of nonsensical capitalization in sharing his message, as you can see in the screenshot below. “We wanted to wait until after the July 4th Weekend,” Trump then explained. Though Donald Trump has not shared any evidence for his allegations that “vandals” sabotaged the Reflecting Pool, he has had multiple people arrested. And, in many ways, it is funny. Not the part where ducks land the water only to die, but the algae is a clear visual metaphor of the Trump regime’s corruption and incompetence. But Trump has had several people arrested for simply touching or appearing to touch the Reflecting Pool when they stopped by to marvel at the “Ninja Turtles slime” transformation of a national monument. Just for the record, Trump had the Presidential Motorcade drive over the pool before it was filled. If there’s a long cut in the material, would it not simply be caused by that? In reality, what happened is simple: this was a rushed job on a no-bid contract, because Trump wants to remake the image of major American landmarks and institutions — from the White House to the Kennedy Center to the Reflecting Pool — to glorify himself. Painting the Reflecting Pool bottom a dark blue means means that the pool absorbs more heat from the sun, heating the water, promoting the growth of algae. Rushing through a job based upon weird optics instead of wanting to do something right is seldom a recipe for success. Hopefully, the evidence — or lack thereof — will prevail and those arrested because Trump feels embarrassed will go free. But this is a reminder that we live in a frightening time, where the truth doesn’t seem to matter as much as one cantankerous old man’s ego.
