Reading Time: 2 minutes Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing yet another lawsuit. A former child actor describes the rapper getting him alone before molesting and sexually assaulting him. He is suing the rapper, who remains behind bars, and others who he says should have protected him when he was a minor. The man, identified only as John Doe, said that the sexual predation happened under the auspices of helping his burgeoning acting career. He says that he was already working as a child actor when, in 2007, he was invited to a Hollywood Hills party for networking. That, he says, is where he met Combs. According to the lawsuit, the rapper invited him to have a private discussion about potential career opportunities. When they were alone, however, he alleges that Combs’ behavior shifted. He accuses the rapper of rubbing his hands on his body, growing increasingly bold as he molested him. According to the lawsuit, he told the rapper that he felt uncomfortable with the situation, to no avail. Combs then allegedly performed oral sex on him while pleasuring himself. After that, the rapper allegedly told him that he’d keep him in mind for work opportunities and left the room. The victim then department the party not long after. It’s not clear how much he’s seeking in damages John Doe is suing Combs and some agents. He says that these agents had a professional duty to protect him, a minor at the time, from dangers like this. The damages are unspecified at present. Combs’ rep, Juda Engelmayer, calls the allegations “false” and refers to Doe as “another hater” after his client’s money. Certainly, there is no shortage of accusers who say that the rapper used his wealth, fame, and power to get away with sexual misconduct and other crimes for many years. At present, Combs is behind bars. Prosecutors did not get the convictions on most of the charges that they filed. Some say that they didn’t provide sufficient evidence. Others argue that they simply underestimated how much the American public is prejudiced against victims who are women and sex workers. However, even when he is released, he will likely be facing lawsuits like this — and more. His “haters” might say that the world knows who he is now, and that his victims are no longer afraid. Sometimes, it seems that every celebrity, from Real Housewives to Oprah herself, is singing the luxury weight-loss drug’s praises. The Big Bang Theory alum Mayim Bialik had a very different experience from one single dose. Not only were her side effects severe, but she says that doctors found them unremarkable because they’re not uncommon. (Photo Credit: Leon Bennett/Getty Images) ‘To say I had an adverse reaction would be somewhat of an understatement’ In an essay that she for some reason published on notorious right-wing site, The Free Press, Bialik detailed what she called: “My GLP-1 Nightmare.” The actress explained: “I went on a weight-loss drug because a doctor told me it might help ease symptoms I’ve struggled with for basically my entire adult life.” Bialik was diagnosed with Grave’s disease, an autoimmune disorder, at age 23. She has spent half of her life grappling with the symptoms. A few months ago, three different doctors advised her to try GLP-1 because “the drugs have shown promise in reducing the systemic inflammation that drives autoimmune conditions.” Bialik took their advise, hoping that it would end up being the “magic cure.” Unfortunately, it was anything but. “I took one shot of the lowest dose of a synthetic GLP-1, and to say I had an adverse reaction would be somewhat of an understatement,” Bialik revealed. “Explosive, uncontrollable diarrhea,” she shared. “Sulfur burps so violent they left me afraid to open my mouth in public.” Bialik continued to rattle off symptoms: “Sneezing attacks every time I tried to eat or drink — which apparently has a name, snatiation.” She listed: “Cramping. Bloating. Full-body aching, as though I had the flu.” Bialik’s list concluded: “And an inability to keep down even small sips of water without sprinting to the bathroom with yet more explosive diarrhea. More than three times, I didn’t make it.” She became so dehydrated that she needed IV fluids “For the first two [days], I ate maybe one cup of rice and half a banana,” Bialik recalled. “Also some broth, which promptly left my body. I couldn’t even keep electrolyte drinks down.” She characterized: “Everything exited with a rage that left me weak and debilitated.” Yikes! “I was in constant contact with my prescribing doctor throughout,” Bialik described. “And when I couldn’t keep even a sip of water down, a nurse came to my home to administer IV fluids.” One detail that stuck with her is how unfazed medical professionals seemed to be. Her side effects were severe — but not uncommon. The praises that people hear about GLP-1s leave out horror stories like hers, but they’re very familiar in the healthcare world. “On day three, I started antidiarrheal medication, which gave me just enough reprieve to eat toast and applesauce,” Bialik reflected. “As soon as it wore off, though, the siege resumed as if it never stopped,” she grimly continued. Bialik described: “I took more antidiarrheals and rode that seesaw for days, trying to coax my body back to homeostasis.” She added that, though her intention in taking the single GLP-1 dose was to alleviate symptoms of a chronic illness, her existence as a woman in our culture and particularly in the entertainment industry had her wondering if she would lose weight as a result. These days, as he awaits trial, his only legal counsel is a public defender — but that may soon change. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Nick has filed a petition seeking access to more than $1.5 million from a trust established by his parents. So now he needs to lawyer up. According to this week’s filing, Nick argues that the money is already his and should have been distributed years ago. The trust reportedly required that half of the funds be released when he turned 30, with the remainder becoming available at age 35. Nick is now 32 and claims he has yet to receive the first distribution. His attorneys contend that the trustee has improperly withheld the money based on concerns about Nick’s ability to manage the funds. “The terms of Nick’s Trust are not complicated, and they are not subject to reasonable dispute,” the petition states. The filing further argues that the distributions are mandatory and not dependent on the trustee’s personal opinion regarding how Nick might use the money. Nick previously retained high-profile defense attorney Alan Jackson, but Jackson later withdrew from the case after funding for the representation dried up. According to the filing, Jackson has indicated he could return if the necessary funds become available. The court documents also state that Nick needs money for basic necessities while incarcerated, including personal hygiene items and other supplies available through the jail commissary. The trustee’s reported concerns stem in part from Nick’s long-documented mental health struggles. Nick has previously been diagnosed with schizophrenia, but his attorneys argue that no court has declared him legally incompetent and that there is no legal basis for withholding the trust distributions. The filing emphasizes that the trust is irrevocable and that the trustee lacks authority to deny payments based solely on subjective concerns. The legal battle over the trust is unfolding separately from the criminal case that has shocked Hollywood. A couple of weeks ago, she testified before the House Oversight Committee. According to the newly released transcript, she attested that she was a victim “trapped inside Jeffrey Epstein’s world” for over two decades. “He groomed me, sexually and psychologically abused me, controlled me, manipulated me, dominated me,” she listed. “And,” Kellen continued, “gaslit me until I could no longer tell which thoughts were mine and which were his.” “It was like living with a permanent virtual-reality headset on,” Kellen testified. As part of her testimony, she mentioned that she was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. Within this controversial Christian offshoot, she explained, women “were required to submit to and obey men.” Survivor’s of Jehovah’s Witness upbringings sometimes describe conspiratorial thinking and insular society’s that cover up abuse. This was perfect fodder for the disgraced pedophile to mold and shape her according to his will. Additionally, Kellen testified, she believed that she was going to become a model. It was, in truth, a trick to get her to undress for him. PHTOOT HREE “After months of unpaid labor, Epstein instructed me to draw him a bath on [his private] island, then ordered me to undress and get in with him,” Kellen recalled. “And he said, ‘The job is yours.’” She testified: “Only after Jeffrey confirmed that I would submit to his sexual abuse did he begin paying me.” Kellen told the Oversight Committee that she was paid only “$25,000 a year for working non-stop, on call 24/7, months at a time, with no days off.” Disgraced sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly referred to her as their “slave and minion.” It doesn’t really sound like a joke. “I understood the math exactly,” Kellen told Congress. “I was being paid, in part, to be raped.” Kellen told the committee that the abuse continued for years, including on his private jet and private island, Little Saint James. “This was not a vacation destination; it was isolation,” she described of the island. Kellen also testified to sexual violence that she experienced in the continental United States, such as at a Palm Beach gym where Epstein “blasted the music so loud so no one could hear, choked me, and violently raped me.” Even when he served his 18-month sentence in 2008, he found ways to get to her. “He even Skyped me from a computer inside the Palm Beach County Stockade and ordered me to undress for him on camera,” Kellen recalled, describing his position of privilege even while incarcerated. And a solid reminder that even people who seem free from monsters on paper can be victims, and might believe (correctly, in some cases) that their ability to leave is an illusion. After months of hype and a few moments when it looked like he might actually pull this thing off, Spencer Pratt’s political dream is officially dead. The Hills villain-turned-political hopeful has officially been eliminated from the Los Angeles mayoral race after finishing third in the city’s primary election, ending one of the more bizarre celebrity campaigns in recent memory. For a while, it looked as though his unconventional strategy might actually work. But after additional ballots were counted, incumbent Mayor Karen Bass held onto first place while City Councilmember Nithya Raman surged into second, leaving Pratt on the outside looking in. Bass and Raman will now advance to the November runoff election. According to the latest vote totals, Bass received roughly 34.3% of the vote, Raman secured about 28.5%, and Pratt finished with 25.8%. That’s a disappointing finish for a candidate who managed to attract attention from some very high-profile figures during the campaign. Pratt’s mayoral bid became a national story thanks in part to commentary from everyone from President Donald Trump to Senator Ted Cruz and even Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Whether that attention actually helped him at the ballot box is a different story. The result also prompted a fresh round of controversy after Trump blasted the election process on social media, claiming the outcome was somehow suspicious after Pratt slipped from a runoff position as additional ballots were counted. Election officials, however, continued tallying votes under California’s standard vote-counting procedures. Pratt launched his campaign after becoming one of the many residents affected by the devastating Palisades wildfire, which destroyed his family’s home. Throughout the race, he positioned himself as an outsider candidate who could shake up city government and challenge the political establishment. According to TMZ‘s sources, the split was an amicable one. That doesn’t just mean that it wasn’t publicly messy — otherwise, we’d have known when it happened. Ariana and Ethan are reportedly still friends. They’re even said to be very supportive of each other. The report says that they gave careful consideration to the idea of splitting before concluding that it was time to break up. That sounds very thoughtful and mature! Good for them. Will she be singing about this split? These days, it is a common joke to say that relationships and especially breakups inspire art, especially for singers. But though some of Ariana’s hits have been relationship-inspired (she does, after all, have a song titled “Pete Davidson”), she has a different vibe than, say, Taylor Swift. TMZ specifies that her new album was not inspired by this split in the slightest. And her music isn’t inspired by Ethan — romantically, professionally, or otherwise. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the celebrity plastic surgeon has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman after inviting her to his Miami mansion. The lawsuit alleges that the incident occurred in May 2025, when the woman — who is identified only as Jane Doe — was visiting Miami from London. According to the lawsuit, the situation escalated when Hochstein allegedly gave her a pill that he described as a common sleep aid. The woman says she trusted him because he is a doctor, and took the medication. She claims she blacked out shortly afterward. Doe alleges that she did not regain consciousness until the following morning. According to the lawsuit, Hochstein later told her that the two had sex. The woman claims she had previously rejected his advances and was unable to consent due to her condition. The lawsuit further alleges that Hochstein identified the pill as melatonin. However, Doe says she remembered what the pill looked like, researched it afterward, and came to believe it was actually Ambien. As a result, she is suing Hochstein for sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The lawsuit marks the latest legal controversy involving the former Bravo personality, whose lengthy and highly publicized divorce from ex-wife Lisa Hochstein played out both in court and on RHOM. “I have never drugged or raped anyone in my life. Reading Time: 2 minutes Late last month, a fatal shooting claimed the life of a pregnant 17-year-old girl. Her infant was delivered via C-section and put on life support. The victim was 17-year-old Jariah Edwards, as identified in a crowdfunding campaign that her family has launched. Jariah was approximately 32 weeks pregnant when she was shot in the head. First responders found her unresponsive at around 1:10 AM. Despite efforts to save her, Jariah was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Jariah was from Arizona, and had only traveled to San Diego with family, staying at a short-term rental. Her child was delivered via C-section even as she died. However, on June 7 — over a week after Jariah’s killing — the infant died. The cause of death was severe hypoxic brain injury. Hypoxia is when one receives insufficient oxygen. In this case, it was fatal. The tragedy was compounded. The one silver lining is that police say that they caught the guy Anyone familiar with the statistics on both teen pregnancy and homicides where the victim is pregnant can already guess these next two details. Jariah’s ex-boyfriend is a 21-year-old named Trevon Williams. The men who create teenage moms tend to be adult men. And, according to the San Diego Police Department, he traveled to San Diego — separately from her and her family — via rideshare. SDPD says that he lured her to come out of her family’s rental using flowers. Then, authorities say, he shot her in the head and fled. Pregnancy puts people at risk of being killed by the father of their child, actual or presumed. According to the SDPD, Williams “fled on foot to a nearby canyon.” This exit strategy did not avail him. He was arrested at around 3 AM, not even two hours after Jariah was found. Williams is facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, possession or transportation of a machine gun, and discharging a firearm. It is likely that the charges will change, and not in his favor. Prosecutors already have possession of recordings in which Williams seemingly confessed. The court also heard evidence that, prior to her murder, Jariah planned to file for a restraining order against her ex. Williams’ next hearing is on June 12. For now, he has been remanded — that is, held without bail — to San Diego Central Jail. Bri, the report details, is an OnlyFans model. TMZ sometimes finds out about relationships through eyewitnesses, photographs, or courtroom disclosures. Interestingly, this time, they found out from a letter addressed to the court-appointed guardian, advising family court on custody matters. The letter — a statement from the mother of the girlfriend of one of Kim and Kroy’s sons — accused Kroy of poor judgment. According to the letter, Bri allegedly accompanied Kroy during a family getaway. “The woman is not someone who needs to be around teenage kids,” the letter stated at one point. It reportedly continued: “Or giving advice on their behavior.” Obviously, the suggestion that an OnlyFans model or any other type of sex worker should not be around children by virtue of their profession isn’t only wrong — it’s bigoted. However, an individual with any sort of job under the sun might not be an appropriate person to bring around one’s minor children. The writer is rooting for them both, sort of Kroy has claimed that Kim is a neglectful parent. However, the letter says that Kim is regularly “in contact with her children around the clock.” The writers explains that she is consistently “monitoring their well-being, location, and safety.” While this letter blasts Kroy’s judgment and girlfriend, it also isn’t taking sides ina traditional sense. The writer expresses that she has “hope that these children can have both parents as part of their life, if possible.” Kroy is a hot enough guy if you’re into DILFs in the midst of messy divorces. It makes sense that he’d be dating an attractive woman, as Bri presumably is. But exes have to exercise good judgment when introducing new partners to their children. It’s possible that Kroy did just that with Bri. It’s also possible that he rushed — possibly for the wrong reasons. A lot of exes try to one-up or spite their exes using their children as intermediaries. That’s not healthy. Andy started his answer by saying that he would not “plant” a trans woman on the cast of any Housewives show. Bravo has, in the past, attempted to “shake up” casts with specific types of people joining the casts. This has gone over well sometimes, and backfired other times. Andy would prefer for a trans woman to become a Housewife organically. “I think if there was a trans Housewife who was friends with other Housewives, that would be the way,” Andy proposed. “You wouldn’t want it to be stunt,” he explained. But as more primary votes have come in, it looks like Spencer Pratt is losing. However, some who are less pleased with this development are beginning to spin conspiracy theories about the votes. The loudest voice among them belongs to none other than Donald Trump. Donald Trump fumed during his June 2026 ‘Meet The Press’ interview, repeating lies about election fraud. (Image Credit: NBC) ‘It’s happening again right now in California’ California is America’s largest state by population. Voting is a slow, deliberate process. Because the state operates with a top-two voting system, all candidates are on the ballot in the primary. The two with the most votes will then face off in the general election this autumn. After the first day of voting, with only a portion of votes tallied, incumbent Mayor Karen Bass was in the lead, with Spencer Pratt behind her, and progressive city council member Nithya Raman in third — and thus seemingly out of the race. However, over the weekend, she surged ahead. With 83 percent of ballots counted, Raman surged to second place with 27.1 percent of the vote, over Pratt’s 26.7. Ultimately, either party could end up facing Bass — who currently has 34.7 percent of the vote — in the general election. On the Sunday, June 7 episode of Meet The Press, Trump repeated his proven lies about the 2020 election. He then went on to claim that “it’s happening again right now in California.” Trump claimed that Republican candidates were “dropping fast because it’s a rigged election.” Welker repeatedly asked for evidence, but he simply claimed: “All I have to do is look.” That is, of course, not evidence. “Do you think it’s appropriate that they have an election, and five days later, they’re nowhere close to picking a winner?” Trump asked. And so is ABC. And CBS. And CNN.” Projecting as hard as ever, Trump declared: “You’re either crooked or you’re stupid — you play right into their hands.” He claimed: “You know that these elections are rigged, your network knows that they’re rigged.” Trump continued to complain, yelling: “You’re a one-sided crooked network. Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough.” And with that, he ended the interview. As noted M&M’s enjoyer Tucker Carlson might ask: What’s happening? What’s going on? It might be tempting to say that some people are believing conspiratorial nonsense because the California voting system is slow and cautious. There’s more to it than that, however. Others might posit that to Trump and many like him, if they win, it’s fair, and if they lose, it’s because someone cheated. That may be an accurate depiction of how they see the world, but it isn’t ultimately the whole story. While those are both factors, perhaps the biggest issue is that, if you aren’t familiar with how things work, everything looks like a conspiracy. Scammers — as many have characterized Spencer Pratt, who has no known qualifications to hold office — thrive on identifying a problem and proposing a fake, yet easy-sounding solution to that problem. For now, those of us who aren’t descending into a conspiratorial abyss can just wait for the rest of the primary votes to be tallied. Britney Spears Was Still the Tabloids’ Favorite Blonde But despite Taylor looming in the distance like a White Walker, no celebrity dominated the ’06 headlines like Britney Spears … for better or worse. Your social status could literally be measured by where you ranked in someone’s Top Eight. Friendships were made. Friendships were destroyed. Our concept of socialization was forever ruined. But hey, while Zuck and Elon continue to battle for world domination, Tom from MySpace is watching society burn from a private island somewhere. We stan a Gen X slacker king. Snakes on a Plane Changed the Way Movies Are Marketed Long before movies went viral on TikTok, Snakes on a Plane became an internet sensation. The premise was exactly what the title promised: snakes. And they were on a plane. Samuel L. Jackson confronts a snake on a plane. (YouTube/NewLine Cinema) The movie turned out to be pretty forgettable. But the marketing campaign proved the power of memes. Filmmakers even altered the final cut of the film in response to online demand, adding a scene in which Samuel L. Jackson’s character quips, “I’m tired of these motherf–king snakes on this motherf–king plane!” You had to be there to understand what a win that was for the internet. Celebrity Gossip Was a National Sport Folks, these were the days of peak tabloid culture. Lindsay. Paris. Britney. Brangelina (RIP). Entire magazines were devoted to tracking celebrities as they walked into restaurants, stumbled out of clubs, and simply existed in public. The paparazzi industry had never been bigger — which, we’re prepared to admit, was not a good thing. Yes, so-called “tabloid culture” has changed quite a bit in the decades since, which is why we’re so proud to still be here — and so grateful to our loyal readers. The caption succinctly concluded: “That’s all.” In general, Broadway doesn’t need to advertise quite as much as some other institutions. If someone wants to see plays, they likely want to see it on Broadway — and either can or cannot. But still, that’s a pretty good advertisement. Especially for what may be a lesser known musical, in the grand scheme of things. Krasinski and Blunt met in 2008 through mutual friends. She has shared her memory of the meeting in the past. They began dating in November of that year. By August of 2009, the two became engaged, marrying in July of 2010. In 2014, Krasinski and Blunt welcomed Hazel. But as Gates’ relationship with Jeffrey Epstein has come under close scrutiny, that image has begun to unravel. And while the tech mogul insists that their relationship was purely professional and that he’s maintained staunch ethical standards throughout his career, it was recently revealed that Gates was serially unfaithful to his wife. News of Gates’ alleged infidelity comes courtesy of The Wall Street Journal. “In a February town hall with foundation employees, Gates owned up to two affairs with Russian women referenced in Epstein’s emails,” the outlet writes, adding: “Some people familiar with the matter said they heard about his admission to staff with disbelief: In his divorce proceedings, allegations related to more than 20 affairs had come up.” Bill and Melinda ended their marriage in August of 2021. We should note that we have no way of knowing if the affair allegations made during their divorce were ever proven. The report also pushes back against Gates’ previous claim that his relationship with Epstein had nothing to do with the many women with whom the financier infamously surrounded himself (often against their will). “Epstein traveled with and introduced Gates to the head of the Nobel Peace Prize committee,” the Journal alleges, adding: “Epstein was involved in negotiations between Gates’s employees and Gates himself; and Gates posed for photos with Epstein and the women around him before or after some of their meetings.” In July, Gates will testify in front of Congress about his relationship with Epstein. Anthony Head — the beloved actor best known for portraying Rupert Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the villainous Rupert Mannion on Ted Lasso — has passed away. He was 72 years old. According to TMZ‘s sources, Jamie spent months pleading with Matt to seek professional health. She knew that she alone couldn’t be his “only source of strength” during his “darkest moments.” Even after the two of them broke up, Jamie “remained committed” to Matt’s well-being. After the news of Matt’s tragic death became public, some pointed the finger at his ex — blaming her for his passing. Obviously, that is not how this works. But the report from TMZ emphasizes that the breakup wasn’t her “fault,” let alone Matt’s death. Everyone, including Matt himself, saw her as “a positive influence in his life” before and after their breakup. The broader Brown family viewed Jamie as “a blessing” for her kindness and patience. The 43-year-old died by suicide Jamie ended up pushing hard for the mission to find Matt’s body after he went missing. As we reported, the late reality TV alum was discovered in the Okanogan River in rural Washington state. Witnesses said that she knew the sorts of places that he would go, even though they were no longer together. She likely hoped to find him injured or simply passed out. Ultimately, however, Matt had already died by suicide. There was nothing that she, or anyone, could have done. Matt was only 43 years old at the time of his death. It fell to his younger brother, Bear, to share on social media that he had died by suicide after his years of struggles with substance abuse and mental health. The Okanogan County Coroner ruled that Matt had died by suicide, by way of a single gunshot wound to the head. He had many people who loved him — even after spending years pushing people away. Investigators have concluded that she died by suicide after months of suicidal ideation. They also found that she had consulted ChatGPT for information on ending her life. The influencer — whose real name was Ashly Robinson — was there for a birthday getaway with her fiance, Joe McCann. That birthday trip then turned into an engagement trip after McCann proposed and she said yes. According to Tanzania Police, a hotel employee found Jenae unconscious in her room. The employee had first tried the door, but gotten no response. She was found hanging from the clothing rail of her closet, using the belt from a robe that the hotel provided. Jenae was rushed to the hospital, but ultimately passed away on April 9. Her immediate cause of death was cerebral hypoxia, brought on by strangulation and suffocation. However, when it came to manner of death, investigators found that she had died by suicide. Police in Zanzibar determined that she suffered from suicidal depression. This painful news comes after some cast suspicions upon McCann following an alleged disagreement during the vacation. ‘How much Valium would kill me?’ Zanzibar Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Zuberi Chember has also revealed another detail about the influencer’s tragic passing. Prior to her death, Jenae asked ChatGPT, an LLM “AI” program, for advice on ending her life. “How much Valium would kill me?” she apparently asked the slop program in March. Other messages that Jenae had sent to family and friends indicated depression. Some texts, Chembera shared, even read like farewell messages. This finding by investigators puts Jenae’s death on a growing list of deaths related to “AI” chatbots. Whether someone in the throws of AI psychosis murders a relative, someone uses a chatbot to plan a mass shooting, or asks a chatbot for advice on ending their life, these devices write almost like people, but lack the mental capacity to help someone get help. These clankers would have blood on their hands if they had hands. Their creators — the “innovators” in charge of companies creating these slop machines — do, in fact, have hands. It will probably be years before people in power have the moral fortitude and the courage to end this useless, pernicious tech instead of helping them to push into every sector of life in search of a paying market. For now, perhaps Jenae’s grieving family can take legal action. Sometimes, a lawsuit is the closest that we come to getting justice. He compounded his error by writing: “Happy nuclear family month.” The tweet has since been deleted, and ignited a firestorm of backlash — including from within his own party. Simply put, he announced that millions of Americans have no place existing in America. Congressman Andy Ogles would later claim that this homophobic tweet was the work of an unnamed staffer. Most of his tweets seem to concern deporting not-white citizens in support of the Trump regime’s white supremacist agenda, particularly targeting immigrants from Somalia and a few other select nations. Ogler’s fellow Republicans seek to draw a line between outright bigotry and supposed “national security” concerns. Ogles then claimed: “The employee has been reprimanded.” Notably, that isn’t actually an apology. He merely describes the tweet’s impact, and throws an unnamed staffer under the bus. It is very common for members of congress to claim that controversial social media activity was done by someone else. For example, Senator Cruz’ Twitter account famously “liked” an incest porn clip on 9/11. Famously, he claimed that a staffer was responsible. Hey, it’s possible. Just because no one seems to believe it doesn’t mean that it couldn’t conceivably be true, right? By all accounts, Ogles — or his unnamed staffer, who may or may not exist — hoped that last year’s conservative backlash against progress and decency was still going strong this year. It is, but not as much. Calling for the eradication of millions of Americans still gets condemned within the GOP if many of those Americans might be cis and white. Rep.
