Dolan suggested that his players might want to take after the ancient Spartans and abstain from sex during the season. Not surprisingly, this suggestion didn’t sit well with several members of the Knicks roster. “I will definitely say, when I came home, and I told my fiancée what he said, she didn’t like to hear that one,” Towns shared on “The Howard Stern Show” this week. Asked by Stern if he and Jordyn adhered to the new rule, Towns kept things PG, saying, “I would say she’s very happy.” Dolan’s … unusual suggestion to his players was first revealed on Brunson and Josh Hart’s “Roommates” podcast. “You don’t have to give up sex for the next 10 weeks, but like Spartans — do you know what Spartans are? They denied themselves so that they could have an edge. Get the edge,” Dolan said, adding: “Go home, talk to your wives,” Dolan said. “Don’t tell them you’re not going to have sex, and don’t tell them it was my idea.” “But let them know what this is going to be like, what your commitment is going to be like, and how they’re going to have to sacrifice too.” Thankfully, Karl didn’t take the advice to heart. He’s 33 years old. He cannot be throwing tantrums and acting out like a troubled teen at his big age. Those close to him are reportedly worried, and urging him to seek rehab for anger management before it’s too late. Evidently not According to a report from RadarOnline, Wallen’s friends and acquaintances are worried sick about his obvious behavioral issues. “Morgan swore he’d learned his lesson and gotten his rage issues under control,” an inside source dished. “But,” the insider warned, “this proves he’s full of baloney.” By this, they mean the piano-flipping incident. It’s wasteful, and it’s a red flag that someone is out of control. The source added: “At a bare minimum, he needs anger management classes and a total reset.” “Morgan says this has all been blown out of proportion,” the insider went on to report. According to this, he has a truly unbelievable claim regarding the May 29 piano-flipping incident in Denver. “He claims that the piano flipped over by accident,” the source added. “But,” the insider quickly clarified, “nobody’s buying that.” Certainly, the video appears to show the controversial singer intentionally shoving the piano, frustrated at a technical issue. But then, we cannot claim to know what was on his mind. There are rehabs for behavioral problems “Morgan’s extremely cranky and constantly flies off the handle for no good reason,” the source characterized. “People are always walking on eggshells around him,” the insider then detailed. The report mentioned Blake Shelton, who served as a mentor to Wallen after the latter appeared on The Voice. “Blake’s very worried about the situation,” the source alleged, “even though he’s kept his distance from Morgan for some time because he wanted to try the tough love approach.” The insider warned: “Now there’s a real worry that Morgan is one step away from total implosion.” Many people first heard of Wallen, not from his music, but from the video of him saying the N-word that surfaced in 2021. For many of us, this still defines him. In 2024, he pitched a chair off of a rooftop bar in Nashville, nearly hitting two police officers. She did acknowledge that much of her energy had been “lost for a bit” over the past decade. “I kind of got taken down a little,” Angelina acknowledged. That is, perhaps, a bit of an understatement. Angelina and Brad married in 2014 after roughly a decade together and began divorcing in 2016. Their divorce lasted a full eight years — ending in December 2024. Notably, Angelina left out some key words — such as “Brad Pitt” and “marriage” and “divorce” — from this statement. We’re sure that there were both legal and personal reasons behind that omission. However, her divorce (and litigation over the chateau where she and Brad tied the knot a dozen years ago) has been expensive. Additionally, she explained that humanitarian work keeps her away from her kids for too long. Acting, on the other hand, provides ample pay and allows her to see her children with a freer schedule. Very soon, the twins will turn 18. Not only will this sever an important legal link with Brad, but it will make her an empty-nester — with more personal freedom of movement. For years, reports seemed to try to frame the Jolie-Pitt divorce with Jolie as some sort of bitter ex who was maliciously keeping the children from Pitt. Hey, that does happen. Not in this case, but sure, some divorces have cruel exes who play twisted games with custody, finances, and more. It’s the only way to keep herself relevant,” accused one. Another evoked Erika Kirk’s performative grief, accusing Chrissy of acting “a little kirky.” That’s really harsh. “This is a private moment. Why did she post this?” asked another. “I know that people in the public eye are used to being photographed all the time but something like this should be private,” opined another, more nuanced critic. Others rode to her defense, however “People grieve differently & not up to your expectations,” argued a commenter. Just because most of us do not share Chrissy’s platform or audience doesn’t mean that others don’t relate to her showcasing her low moments. “If I could’ve taken a photo next my dad’s casket and had a way for the whole world to know his name, know how much he mattered and was loved, I definitely would’ve done it,” the comment continued. Others have noted that Chrissy has a history of showing her lowest moments. This has included her sobriety journey, her shame at some of her actions while under the influence, and even simple inconveniences. What we need to remember in this moment is that Chrissy has a massive audience of social media followers across multiple platforms. Even though she’s 40 now and obviously strikes a different tone than she did when she was drunk and 30, a lot of people see every post as an invitation to share their “feedback.” Also, and we apologize if this is news to anyone, but a lot of people on social media are mean and critical for no reason. The actress — who was best known for her work in films like The Ring, Lilo & Stitch, and Donnie Darko — was just 35 years old. Little is known about the circumstances of her death, but a man claiming to be Daveigh’s boyfriend (more on that later) says she passed away after battling meningitis and a blood infection. Neither her family nor her close friends know who this person is.” “After a difficult childhood and a painful falling out with her family, Daveigh was bullied and struggled to find safety and happiness in downtown LA. When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope,” Hernandez wrote on the GoFundMe page, adding: “All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Insiders report that Chase had been hospitalized earlier this month for malnutrition. In addition to her work on screen, Chase was also one of Hollywood’s most highly regarded voice actors. In addition to voicing one of the title characters in Lilo & Stitch, she starred as Chihiro in the English-language version of the Japanese animated classic Spirited Away. Reading Time: 3 minutes From 1993 until 2010, an unseen killer terrorized women in the Gilgo Beach area of Long Island. In 2023, authorities arrested Rex Heuermann after finding substantial evidence — from his car to DNA to electronic contact with multiple victims — linking him to some of the crimes. He has been definitively linked to eight of the murder victims. Now, he has been sentenced — and he’s never getting out. (Photo Credit: Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office) There are real debates as to how many Gilgo Beach victims died by his hand In November of 1993, Sandra Costilla went missing from New York. Her remains were found later that month. She was, as far as investigators can tell, the first of many. Off and on, often with years between the killings, women vanished or were found — in part or on whole — in the general vicinity of Gilgo Beach on Long Island. It was not until July of 2023 that Heuermann was charged with seven of the murders. These were not the only women who died horribly in this area. They were just the ones that investigators had successfully linked to Heuermann. Heuermann was a Manhattan architectural consultant and a resident of Massapequa Park. Investigators determined that, in addition to other evidence, these horrific killings had taken place when his wife and children were traveling out of state. Multiple pieces of evidence led authorities to Heuermann, including DNA evidence from a discarded pizza crust and also hair fiber analysis. In April of 2026, Heuermann pleaded guilty to the seven murders for which he had been charged. He also admitted to another killing, that of Karen Vergata, though he had not been charged in her death. Life without the possibility of parole On Wednesday, June 17, TMZ reports that the court sentenced Heuermann to life in prison, without the possibility of parole. The judge is said to have accurately referred to him as “a disgusting and despicable man” during the hearing. In that same session, the judge also reportedly called Heuermann a “coward.” Seventeen years of stalking and lethally strangling women, some of whom he’d had previous electronic contact with, is not the behavior of a courageous or righteous individual. Heuermann also used his computer to search for things like child sex-abuse material (CSAM) and photos of the family members of his victims. If anything, the judge was being nice. Our culture sometimes mythologizes serial killers, due in no small part to a long history of police dragging their heels or simply missing evidence. Serial killers are not geniuses, or artists, or misunderstood victims. Most serial killers are at or below average intelligence. Heuermann chose to end the lives of at least eight women. Serial killers have varying conscious motives and backgrounds, but the vast majority have a hatred of women at the core of what drives them to kill. Someone who does things like this cannot be among us. He needs to be incarcerated for the public good. Perhaps, in time, police can find evidence linking him to more victims. It won’t bring them back, but it may give more families a sense of closure. Or, if they do not find more evidence, it may show investigators that there are more killers to be found. Now, more than a year after that heartbreaking loss, Kiser is opening up about one of the most difficult parts of her grief journey. The social media influencer appeared on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast this week, marking her first interview since Trigg’s passing 13 months ago. According to Emilie, reaching that point required her to confront a painful realization. “This could have just as easily been me in Brady’s position,” she said. At the time of the incident, Emilie was not at home. Brady was caring for both Trigg and the couple’s newborn son, Teddy. Kiser acknowledged that her empathy for her husband did not erase the reality of what happened. Brady was taking care of our newborn child. When I left for dinner that night, he was de-thawing my breast milk, trying to get Teddy settled, a 5-week-old baby,” Emilie explained. “That doesn’t excuse anything. It doesn’t excuse what happened. It doesn’t excuse any of the series of events after that,” she continued. Still, she said recognizing the ways circumstances could have unfolded differently helped her develop compassion for her husband during an unimaginable period of grief. “But taking that accountability, along with all the other things I know I could have changed, gave me so much true, deep, real, raw empathy for him of, this could have been me.” Kiser admitted there was a time when she wondered if her marriage would survive the devastating loss. She said that even if their roles had been reversed, she would have hoped for forgiveness because she knows neither parent intended for the tragedy to happen. “That’s exactly how I feel for Brady,” she said. “I really just have so much empathy and love for him.” The influencer also praised her husband for the way he has handled the family’s grief. “He is so strong,” she said, adding that she is “really proud of us” and the way they have navigated the loss together. His attorneys revealed that they intend to put forward an affirmative defense: Extreme Emotional Disturbance. If successful, Luigi could potentially be convicted and get out in his early 30s. There, his lawyers told the judge that he hopes to use an unusual but familiar defense at his trial: Extreme Emotional Disturbance. Simply put, an EED defense is an affirmative defense, in which a defendant says that they committed an act during an altered state of consciousness. This would mean that Luigi (allegedly) committed an act of voluntary manslaughter. If the jury agrees with the defense’s case, this would mean a conviction — and a minimum sentence of five years. (The maximum sentence would be more like 25 years.) Assuming that the judge permits this defense strategy, this would play out in court by effectively putting UnitedHealthCare on trial. The core argument would be that the company’s egregious conduct prompted Luigi to have a psychological break. In court, they would have to show that Luigi had a plausible yet extreme emotional reaction to denied healthcare claims alongside his lasting pain. However, Luigi will also be facing murder charges in federal court — where the Extreme Emotional Disturbance defense is unavailable. Nothing about his attorneys’ comments in court on Wednesday suggested what their planned defensive strategy would be in federal court. What is the broader strategy here? If successful, Extreme Emotional Disturbance arguments could get Luigi anywhere from 5 to 25 years behind bars. (That’s what First Degree Manslaughter will land you in New York.) So why, some ask, would he try this defense first instead of simply saying that he’s been framed by a bloodthirsty police force under intense political pressure? Is the prosecution’s case airtight in proving that he did the deed? That would be surprising, considering. It is also possible that his team hopes that his affirmative defense will end, not with the jury siding with him, but with jury nullification. Simply put, someone sitting there hearing how awful UnitedHealthCare is might just vote to acquit him, no matter what evidence is presented. But EED has also been used in “gay panic” and “trans panic” defenses, as well as in racist and other bigoted ways. Those instances are problematic because the victims of those crimes were innocent, the only “emotional disturbance” being the perpetrator’s bigotry. Luigi isn’t accused of killing an innocent person, however, but a for-profit healthcare CEO. That’s arguably as far from an innocent person as you can get. He undertook a project to paint the reflecting pool on the National Mall, shelling out $13 million in a sweetheart deal with the pool contractor. Trump’s project has instantly backfired, resulting in a comically aggressive algae bloom that any expert might have predicted. But his diehard fans — yes, they still exist — are spinning another theory. They believe that the project was sabotaged. Multiple presidents have worked to revitalize the iconic national symbol. Thus far, only Donald Trump has shelled out $13 million to a pool contractor with whom he had previously worked. What would be a massive scandal under any other administration gets barely any attention under the Trump regime. Much larger and more blatantly corrupt financial transactions take place with this crowd constantly. Within days of the completion of the renovation, in which Trump resolved to paint the bottom of the pool a blue in roughly the same hue as that of the American Flag, the pool was no longer blue. For example, notorious right-winger Emily Miller says that there’s a piece of Trump-friendly tech that just hasn’t come into play yet. According to her, Trump plans to implement a “nano-bubbler,” which she believes will purge the algae and keep it at bay. (We’re not sure what technology she refers to. Nano-bubbles are tiny bubbles. A device that generates them might be used to oxygenate water, but given the factors involved, it’s not clear if it would keep the reflecting pool algae-free if it even exists and is installed.) Meanwhile, Trump’s actual response seems to be having people pour gallon after gallon of hydrogen peroxide into the reflecting pool. A large, stationary, unchlorinated freshwater pool heated by intense sunlight just a week before summer begins is going to fill with algae. There’s a reason that the bottom of the pool wasn’t painted dark blue before this. There are reasons for so many things that normal politicians who understand how the world works would have at least had the curiosity to ask about. Is Trump a fundamentally incurious person? He seems to be constantly learning new things while in office, from how “dumb” is spelled to the optimal conditions for algae to grow. Walter Parazaider, a founding member of the iconic rock band Chicago, has died at the age of 81 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. News of Parazaider’s passing was confirmed by his wife, JacLynn, who revealed that he died early Wednesday morning while receiving hospice care. While his name may not have been as recognizable as some frontmen of his era, Parazaider played a crucial role in shaping the sound of Chicago, one of the most successful rock bands of all time. The woodwind musician helped found the group in 1967. Before becoming known simply as Chicago, the band performed under the names The Big Thing and Chicago Transit Authority. Parazaider was a key member of the band’s celebrated brass and woodwind section alongside fellow founding members Lee Loughnane and James Pankow. Over the decades, he contributed to some of Chicago’s biggest hits, including “25 or 6 to 4,” “Saturday in the Park,” and “If You Leave Me Now.” The band’s unique blend of rock and horn-driven arrangements helped sell more than 100 million records worldwide and earned Chicago a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. According to TMZ, Parazaider was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease six years ago. His wife said he fought the illness bravely before ultimately succumbing to it this week. “He had put up a good fight with Alzheimer’s and unfortunately it ended tonight,” JacLynn told the outlet. “We are going to miss him for sure.” She also reflected on the couple’s nearly six decades together, noting that they had been married for 59 years. Parazaider retired from Chicago in 2016 after decades of touring and recording with the band. He later revealed his Alzheimer’s diagnosis in 2021. For generations of fans, Walter Parazaider’s musicianship was an essential part of Chicago’s signature sound. Speaking at the end of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ Season 5, Jeremy Clarkson revealed that he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He hosted from 1988 to 1999 and then again from 2002 until 2015. Clarkson’s Farm is a more low-key series, and usually an uplifting one. however, for the final two episodes of Season 5, he had some somber news to share with viewers. “I’ve got cancer,” he shared, speaking to the camera. Specifically, Clarkson has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He shared that the cancer is “aggressive,” but it had been discovered before it could spread too far. “I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy,” Clarkson explained. “And it is cancer, and it’s aggressive,” he detailed. “But it’s really early.” Clarkson shared that he expects to be “fine” but warned that he will be out of action “for a while” as he undergoes treatments. PHOTO THREE At the time of the filming, he shared that he had known about the cancer “since May.” The episodes aired in mid-June, but we have to emphasize that the show did not film in 2026. Season 5 filmed between 2024-2025, so it seems likely that these two finale episodes are from 2025. “I won’t know whether it’s worked or not until November, probably,” Clarkson predicted. He then detailed: “The prostate, 10% of it’s dead, the 10% where the cancer is.” At the very end of the season finale, Clarkson was in a hospital bed, telling the camera that his cancer treatment had involved complications. “We started Season 5 with me in a hospital bed, and here we are at the end of Season 5, and I’m back in a hospital bed,” he quipped. “What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I’ll see you for Season 6, and if it isn’t, I won’t,” Clarkson grimly promised. “Take care, everyone.” Fear not, as there are no indications that this aired posthumously. But, at the end of the day, a lot went on for this very troubled family that the cameras never really captured. Mykelti Brown is describing an extreme no-tattling policy, where simply telling on someone could get you into more trouble than the actual wrongdoer. She cites multiple examples — including getting punished after a neighbor molested her. Given her word choice, one has to assume that this was not a case of same-age peers experimenting, and that there was an unsavory age gap involved. “Tattle-telling, that was one of the biggest traumatizing things,” Mykelti recalled. “I know it sounds weird but that was one of the biggest things I remember growing up is we were not allowed to tattle-tell anything.” She rattled off examples of how this applied even if a sibling was “in a life and death situation.” Bizarre and dangerous, for the Sister Wives stars or any other family. This wasn’t an issue with just one parent, either. Mykelti explained: “Every single parent had this exact same stance.” Even in a best-case scenario, where no one dies or is injured as a result, this sort of policy can only have one consequence: silence. Children need to be able to confide in their parents and trust them. This policy created a culture of the opposite, and that had consequences. “I think it created a lot of issues with us kids not telling our parents the truth, and not wanting to come to them when things actually needed to be told,” Mykelti reflected. “Like, ‘hey, this neighbor kid touched me on my private parts,'” she cited as just one obvious example. Sagely, Mykelti reasoned: “What kid is going to go tell their parents if they’re worried that they’re going to get in more trouble?” During the interview, Mykelti Brown offered examples of things that were forbidden as “tattling” even if a sibling was in physical danger. She said that she kept quiet “to such a degree that I could have been saved a lot of hurt, a lot of emotional damage and pain, if I had that trust with my mom, with my dad, with my other moms.” But she did not have that culture of trust, where she could safely come forward. So she didn’t. Mykelti shared that she had only learned about sex from her friends — not from her parents or from educators. The experience with the neighbor, which she again isn’t ready to talk about in any detail, made her feel “dirty.” Getting into trouble for talking about it certainly didn’t help. There will forever be a void in my heart, but forever a spot just for you.” Madison went on to praise her father for the many roles he played throughout his life, describing him as a devoted husband, friend, coach, hockey player. and parent. “The lessons you taught me, the strength you showed me, and the person you pushed me to become every single day — I carry all of it with me,” she continued. His best statistical season came during the 2005-06 campaign with Chicago, when he recorded career highs with 26 goals and 59 points in 79 games. But the event nearly ended in tragedy thanks to a terror plot involving explosive drones. According to multiple outlets, a 19-year-old Ohio native named Tycen Proper was among several suspects arrested in connection with an alleged plan to attack UFC Freedom 250. (ranklin County Sheriff’s Office) Federal officials claim the group intended to use drones and sniper teams to target attendees, politicians, and other prominent figures. The FBI says the alleged scheme was disrupted before it could be carried out. In a twist that may have prevented a tragedy, investigators say Proper’s own mother alerted authorities after becoming concerned about her son’s behavior. According to an FBI affidavit, Proper’s parents reported that he had recently spent thousands of dollars on tactical equipment, firearms accessories, ammunition, and other gear. His mother also expressed concerns that he had become involved with an extremist anti-government group. Those concerns prompted an investigation that ultimately led federal agents to uncover what they describe as a multi-state conspiracy involving numerous individuals communicating through TikTok and encrypted messaging apps. According to court documents, members of the group allegedly discussed attacking the White House UFC event using drones carrying explosive devices. Federal investigators claim the drones would have been used to create panic and force attendees to flee in a specific direction. At that point, additional members of the group allegedly planned to open fire on escaping crowds and designated “high-value targets.” Authorities say potential targets included prominent politicians, wealthy attendees, and other public figures expected to be present at the event. The UFC event itself drew thousands of attendees and featured President Donald Trump, making security concerns especially significant. Proper, a resident of Knox County, Ohio, was arrested on June 10 after investigators obtained information from his family and reviewed communications connected to the alleged plot. According to the FBI, Proper told investigators he became involved with a group that initially communicated through TikTok before moving discussions to the encrypted messaging platform Signal. Federal agents allege that the group shared extremist anti-government beliefs and discussed violent action. Court filings indicate Proper faces conspiracy-related charges along with several additional counts tied to the alleged plot. He remains in federal custody while the case moves forward. While five suspects have already been charged, authorities believe the network may have been significantly larger. Federal officials have indicated that as many as 23 individuals may have been connected to the planning effort, and investigators continue to examine communications and evidence recovered during the operation. For now, officials are crediting a combination of family intervention and rapid law enforcement action with stopping what they describe as a potentially devastating attack before it could be carried out. And as Us Weekly reports, the judge in his case denied Joseph’s request for unsupervised visits with his four children. Joseph Duggar has been arrested for the alleged molestation of a 9-year-old girl. (Washington County Sheriff’s Office) Joseph is facing charges in both Bay County, Florida and his home state of Arkansas, where he has been indicted for child endangerment. (Upon searching Joseph’s home after his arrest, investigators determined that he and wife Kendra Duggar were in the habit of locking their children in their bedrooms as punishment.) Defense attorney, Albert Sauline, argued that it would be “a little unusual” for a criminal case in Florida to impact Joseph’s ability to see his kids, when said kids were not the alleged victims in the Florida case. The judge saw things differently, as did assistant state attorney Joao Paulo Ferreira, who noted that Children and Family Services in Arkansas would be more than willing to supervise contact with Joseph’s children. That might not bode well for prosecutors’ willingness to work with Joe’s attorneys as the legal process continues. Meanwhile, the financial troubles facing Joseph and Kendra Duggar appear to be mounting. According to a new report from People, Kendra has listed one of the family’s Arkansas properties for sale as her husband prepares for a trial that could send him to prison for the rest of his life. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Siloam Springs is reportedly being offered for $407,900. The property sits on more than an acre of land and had previously been occupied by members of Kendra’s family. Joseph and Kendra reportedly evicted the tenants after her parents sided with Joseph’s accuser. According to recordings of jail phone calls obtained by People, Joseph and Kendra spoke in March about whether it would make more sense to sell the property or keep it as a rental source of income in the event Joseph is convicted and incarcerated. At the time, the couple was already facing significant financial pressure. Kendra had reportedly been selling personal belongings and converting family properties into rentals in an effort to raise money after Joseph’s arrest and subsequent $600,000 bond. Kendra is also facing child endangerment charges, which could land her in prison for up to four years. Needless to say, it appears as though the couple is beginning to feel the pressure of their mounting woes, which makes sense, especially after they bore witness to the fate that befell Joseph’s brother. Savannah’s current boyfriend has not been identified. She has shared only three major things about him. Her father, Todd Chrisley, is 57, over twice her age.) The second is that he is some sort of Washington insider. She opined: “He’s not intimidated by my success, which is so great.” Yes, not every man has the emotional maturity to date a … let’s check our notes here … a podcaster. Savannah claimed: “I feel like so many women in today’s day and age are the primary breadwinners for their family, and they feel like they have to dim their light in order to make their partner feel better.” She declared: “And I’m like ‘no.'” (For context, Savannah’s frame of reference is likely heavily influenced by the conservative culture of her family, so she sees a very specific and narrow slice of humanity.) “First off, he does way better than I do,” Savannah noted. “And I love that because I’m like, ‘You’re not intimidated by me. Shortly thereafter, we learned that his longtime girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, was pregnant with Kneeland’s first child. Now, seven months after the tragic loss of a beloved and promising young man, there’s a silver lining: A 4-day-old newborn baby, who has been placed among empty baby beds by the photographer, lies in a baby bed in the maternity ward of a hospital. Mancera shared a series of emotional photos and videos documenting the arrival of her son. “My favorite gift from you,” Mancera wrote alongside one post honoring the late NFL player. The newborn arrived on June 11, marking a bittersweet milestone for a family that has spent the past several months navigating grief while preparing for a new life. As fans may recall, Kneeland died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on November 5, 2025, just days after scoring his first NFL touchdown for the Cowboys. His death shocked teammates, coaches, and fans across the league. One week later, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed that Mancera was pregnant with the couple’s first child. At the time, he also announced the creation of the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund to help support Mancera and the baby. “We want to make sure she is taken care of, and the baby is taken care of for the rest of their lives,” Schottenheimer said during a press conference announcing the fund. Reading Time: 2 minutes At the very end of May, Josh Duggar was transferred to a new prison without explanation. Quickly, longtime Duggar watchers began spinning theories. Did he have a serious illness that the medical center could provide? Had he broken some sort of rule and required higher security? Josh’s attorney initially believed this to be a routine transfer. Last month, the disgraced former reality star was transferred from FCI Seagoville in Seagoville, Teaxas to FMC Forth Worth in, you guessed it, Forth Worth. Previously, Josh’s attorney Beau Brindley brushed off the news. He simply said that his client was fine, calling it a “routine” transfer. There were questions. Many people simply did not believe it. It turns out that Brindley himself no longer believes that. Brindley now tells TMZ that he believes that Josh’s transfer was far from “routine.” Rather, he believes that this was deliberate and targeted retaliation by the Bureau of Prisons. According to Brindley, the BOP took this punitive route because Josh and his attorney had pointed out two big issues with the mail system at Seagoville during court hearings. (As we previously reported, Josh’s court battle has included an argument that his late filing should have counted because he submitted it before the deadline, even if the court didn’t receive it until much later.) During that conversation, Josh confirmed that he was “not sick with any illness” despite the transfer. FMC Fort Worth caters primarily to inmates who are battling serious ailments and require inpatient care. According to Brindley, Bureau of Prisons officials called it a “routine transfer” even while offering no explanation. It was, apparently, a very unpleasant experience. Josh is going to be in prison until February 2033. Yes, that is months later than his original 2032 release date. Is he a disgraced criminal, unworthy of civil protections while incarcerated? Or is he a victim of an unjust system that can effectively do whatever it wants to an unsympathetic and powerless prison population? Both … or neither. Whatever Anna may think, Josh is guilty and utterly depraved. But the prison system is also subject to obvious corruption. These days, that is especially true of federal prisons. Josh is irredeemable, but all prisoners should be treated at a minimum level of decency appropriate for someone who was falsely accused and convicted. Even though Josh was not. But to hear his former colleague Billy Bush tell it, Al is a very different guy when the cameras aren’t rolling. Bush was Roker’s co-host for two months in 2016 — and it seems that their working relationship was not a healthy one. Bush made the allegations while appearing on journalist Maureen Callahan’s podcast, “The Nerve,” where the conversation quickly turned to his experience behind the scenes at the morning show. “I’ve always sensed rage just underneath that very overly friendly surface,” Callahan said about Roker. She then played a throwback clip of Roker going off on Bush during a remote, yelling, “You don’t know where I’m going to be. I am going to be your worst nightmare. I’m going to live on you like a tick.” “The way I describe Al is three words. Territorial, vindictive, and chronically unprepared,” Bush said about his former colleague. The former Access Hollywood host claimed Roker viewed him as a threat from the moment he arrived at Today. According to Bush, he came into the third hour of the program intending to become a central part of the show’s future. He alleged that network executives were unhappy with Roker’s performance and planned to eventually remove him from the show altogether. Bush claimed a producer told him to simply survive his first few months on the job because management intended to move on from Roker once contractual issues were resolved. That plan, of course, never materialized. Just months after Bush joined Today, the infamous Access Hollywood tape featuring Donald Trump surfaced, resulting in Bush’s firing and effectively ending his NBC tenure. Roker remained with the network and continues to be one of the most recognizable faces on morning television. But Bush says his problems with Roker extended far beyond workplace competition. The television personality alleged that Roker became jealous whenever he gained momentum during interviews and resented sharing airtime with colleagues. “I prepared for every guest,” Bush recalled, claiming he would thoroughly research interview subjects before appearing on air. According to Bush, Roker would become frustrated whenever Bush dominated a segment or appeared particularly prepared. Bush went on to describe Roker as someone who does not enjoy seeing coworkers succeed. “He’s a mean person,” Bush said during the podcast appearance. “There’s jealousy.” He also alleged that Roker once liked a social media post that referred to Bush as a “whitesplaining racist,” a move Bush interpreted as evidence that his co-host was actively working against him behind the scenes. Bush also claimed that both Roker and former Today anchor Matt Lauer made it clear they were not thrilled about his arrival at the network. “You could feel it,” Bush said of the atmosphere during his short-lived run on the show. Roker has not publicly responded to Bush’s allegations, and it’s safe to say these claims will come as a surprise to many fans.
