Ellen DeGeneres’ comeback threats come with a claim: that she’s not really as mean as people describe. Anyone can make a claim about someone. But so many people shared horror stories about Ellen. Some were in the service industry, and others were staffers on her own (former) show. However, to hear Ellen tell it, she was just standing up for herself … and got ousted from Hollywood for it. It looks like she’s gearing up for a comeback after being cancelled. And we should all be as frightened as if we were waiting on her at a restaurant. Others had already read anecdotes about unfavorable encounters online, heard the tales in person, or experienced that side of her themselves. Some service industry professionals dreaded an encounter with her like they’d dread waiting on Jennifer Lopez. What really blew things open was frustrated staffers on her show going public to describe a horribly toxic workplace environment. It seemed that the folks in charge really, really hoped that people would forget that people had described Ellen, specifically, as the culprit. (Perhaps this was already laying the groundwork for an Ellen DeGeneres comeback) To hear Ellen tell it, her wrongdoing was simply not noticing what others were doing. That may have been a mistake on her part, but that’s glossing over a lot of what people had to say about Ellen’s behavior. According to SFGATE, Ellen DeGeneres went on a rant during a recent Santa Rosa, California standup show. While performing to a fairly crowded room, she claimed: “I am many things, but I am not mean.” This is where her defense appeared to begin indirectly accusing all of her critics of disliking her for being a successful woman. She then characterized: “I am a strong woman.” Historically, many bullies have framed their behavior as simply not backing down or staying strong, even when the people they torment are utterly powerless. Obviously, she isn’t a one-dimensional person. She’s a real person with good qualities and bad ones. Unfortunately, when one’s alleged bad qualities make other people’s lives worse, it’s best to acknowledge those flaws instead of pretending that it was just a bunch of catty rumors. David Eason has reportedly found someone new to treat like absolute $hit. The former Teen Mom star, who was fired by MTV years ago for shooting and killing his family’s young dog, is no longer married to Jenelle Evans. The polarizing cable network personality filed to separate from Eason in March. He doesn’t seem very broken up about it, however. On this social media platform, the often-violent bigot has turned the camera on himself while inside Kenleigh’s house… while making some meals in her kitchen… and also while singing, jet-skiing and, of course, throwing back some drinks at a bar. Based on research conducted by our friends at The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, it sounds as if: Kenleigh is 25 years old. She owns property in North Carlina. She is a photographer and graphic designer. (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images) Elsewhere in this same filing, Evans referenced the current felony charge hanging over her spouse, which is the result of an alleged assault of her teenage son, Jace. “On or about September 28 of 2023, a report was made to medical professionals by plaintiff’s oldest minor child,” Jenelle writes, adding that the sheriff’s office investigated the allegations and David was “subsequently charged with misdemeanor child abuse and felony assault by strangulation.” It’s all been very ugly for a long time surrounding Eason, who has responded by claiming Evans is a thief. Might not be the last time,” he then teased coyly. Piers Morgan has a lot to say about the latest scandal swirling around Prince Harry. And none of it paints The Duke of Sussex in a very positive light. As you may have heard about, Prince Harry will be honored this summer at the ESPYs as a recipient of the Pat Tillman Award for Service. This award is handed out to individuals who have made significant contributions in the world… which echo the legacy of the former NFL player and US Army Ranger, who enlisted after the September 11 terrorist attacks. He also created the Invictus Games in 2014, an event that serves as a multi-sport, Paralympic-styled games for wounded or injured servicemen and veterans. It’s not a bad resume But controversy just follows Harry around almost everywhere at this point. BTS’ very own Jin is an Olympic Torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics! One of the most popular music acts on the planet is K-pop supergroup BTS. Jin, the group’s eldest member, just recently completed his mandatory military service. Now, he’s representing his country — to delight of countless millions of fans all across the globe. In June, Jin completed his 18-month (mandatory) military service. Certainly, BTS stans across the globe have been posting to social media as if they were pacing a widow’s walk, waking for their husband to return from the war. A bit dramatic, but we’re all relieved that he’s done with his compulsory service. The idea is that they will visit various historic sites (as always) in the host country. The torch relay began in April, beginning — naturally — in Greece. It is, however, a relay — a symbolic journey that representatives from participating countries make in sequence. At the moment, other members of BTS would not be available for this Olympic honor. It’s easy to imagine that, say, Jimin could be an Olympic torchbearer for the Milan–Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. Or for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. If Alana Thompson’s pregnant, she would follow in the footsteps of all the role model women in her life. Her mother, her sisters – they all found themselves with the title of “teen mom”. But is the young woman, who the world watched grow up under the name Honey Boo Boo and quite literally just turned 18, actually pregnant? The former child beauty pageant star has only just started nursing school and is barely able to legally vote in this country. And yet… ( Image Courtesy of WE TV) Alana Thompson’s Boyfriend Wants Her Pregnant STAT Speaking to The Daily Mail in June 2024, Alana addressed the possibility of at least some day giving birth, telling this outlet that boyfriend Dralin Carswell is ready for parenthood. Like, right now it sounds like. “He wants kids and I don’t want kids,” Thompson told the newspaper, emphasizing that she definitely does not want children while she’s in school. The reality star and Carswell made their relationship Instagram official in 2021 and have sine garnered a great deal of backlash Dralin was 20-plus years old when he started dating 16-year old Alana. Carswell also has a history of trouble with the law. But the pair live together and seem pretty darn happy, with Thompson saying in this interview that it will be “time” to discuss children after she is done with college. The teenager added that she wants to “one and done, that’s it” when it comes to kids, too, which could very well be a stance she changes after actually becoming a mother. Sister Pumpkin Worries Alana Will Get Pregnant Without College But this is not the first time that this topic has come up,. The new season of Mama June: Family Crisis addressed Alana’s future as a mom as well. In the February 16th episode of the hit TLC series, Alana graduated high school. The family were all extremely proud of her, but her sister Pumpkin is hoping against hope that Alana will choose not only to go to college, but to go to a school out of state. When Alana opened up a gift with a college T-shirt inside, she gets annoyed. “Here we go again with the Colorado stuff,” she says in this exclusive sneak peek posted by HollywoodLife. “Everybody’s stressing about where I want to go, and at the end of the day, it’s my decision.” The family get into a huge fight on-screen. Alana’s mother, June, thinks she would be just fine if she just stayed where she was, but her sister feels much differently. Like, I don’t know. Just get out of here.” Now, as the show was filmed some time ago, fans know that she did up going to school, receiving a $21,000 scholarship to study nursing. And no, she is not pregnant – a fact she has to continually defend against body shaming trolls time and time again. Alana Has Addressed Pregnancy Rumors Before Last year, Alana Thompson went all out for prom. She had a custom dress, a glammed-up look, and a horse-drawn carriage. However, Alana’s look received some viciously cruel scrutiny — with some accusing the high school student of being pregnant. Other than that, you don’t congratulate someone or otherwise assume until the baby’s head crowns. Suffice it to say that this portion of the social contract goes double for literal actual teenagers. Like, for example, a 17-year-old high school student who was going to prom. Yes, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is famous. That doesn’t mean that she likes people body-shaming her. And frankly, this preggo speculation is worse than your run-of-the-mill body-shaming. Alana saw the cruel things that people wrote, where they asked if they saw a “baby bump” under her prom dress. Alana on the Pregnancy Rumors: “I Want To Go To College” So, she took to TikTok Live — not only to quash these rumors, but to excoriate the trolls writing them. “Like, no I’m not pregnant!” Alana confirmed. “I haven’t even graduated high school yet, okay?” Alana then reminded these creepy weirdos. “I want to graduate,” she emphasized. “I want to go to college before I even think about having kids,” Alana assured. “So no, I’m not pregnant…” It is very reassuring to hear that Alana will not be following in the footsteps of her mother, or her sister, or her other sister … okay, of a lot of members of her family. (We can also acknowledge that, in some of those cases, becoming teen moms was not entirely their choice. This family lived in unthinkable, unimaginable poverty for many years) But it’s not like someone simply issued a claim that Alana was pregnant and some unusually rancid tabloid circulated it as news. Instead, commenters made this up on the spot. All because they saw Alana in her gorgeous prom dress. Think that we (and Alana) are fabricating the hate? Think again. Body Shaming Comments From ‘Fans’ “Yeah not a flattering dress…I thought she was pregnant for a min! Plenty of other dresses that would be more flattering, just have to dress for your shape,” one vile comment reads. “I thought it was a gender reveal,” another despicable Instagram reply snarked. Awful, nasty stuff — and they all posted it where Alana could see it. As Alana shared her gripes and quashed these body-shaming allegations on TikTok. Alana seems to be doing that celebrity thing where she cannot distinguish hateful trolls from people making solid points, so she claps back and then tunes them out. Earlier this week, Janelle Brown got to spend some quality time with close pal Christine Brown, hanging out with her Sister Wives co-star for the first time since her son Garrison took his own life. (TLC) The TLC personalities met up in Wyoming, prompting Janelle to post a Reel Instagram from the trip and to pen the following caption along with it: “We got to spend the day together and it was SO needed! Incredibly grateful for family. #family #familyforlife #familyforever.” The aforementioned video featured photos of Christine smiling with Janelle and of her daughter Madison … while Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” played in the background. Just four months ago, Garrison died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. In the time since, both his mother and Christine (along with other members of the Brown family) have shared tributes to the troubled young man online. A few weeks ago, for example, not long after Mother’s Day, Janelle addressed Garrison and wrote “I love you honey and miss you every day.” Janelle Brown looks very sad in this confessional on Sister Wives. I hope you’re going to have a wonderful Fourth of July weekend if you are in the U.S.” Via this same caption, Brpwn tagged a number of friends and loved ones, including Christine and her husband David Woolley and gave a shoutout to her daughter Savannah; her former sister wife Meri Brown’s child Leon; and Christine’s daughters, Aspyn Thompson, and Gwendlyn. “Family time! Sad and shocking news this week out of the reality television universe: KeKe Jabbar, an integral cast member on the OWN series Love & Marriage: Huntsville, has reportedly passed away. She was 42 years old. KeKe Jabbar addresses the camera here on Love & Marriage: Huntsville. (OWN) Marcella Speaks — with whom Jabbar feuded on the latest season of this popular program — confirmed Jabbar’s death on Tuesday, July 2, after she was given a statement from Jabbar’s family. She read this message during a YouTube live stream, stating in the footage that Jabbar died “peacefully at home surrounded in love.” The cause of death was not revealed. “It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love,” read the statement in question. “She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love and laughter. She will be sorely missed and at this time, we are asking for respect and privacy in our moment of grief while we process this great loss.” Keke Jabbar was a key figure on the reality show Love & Marriage: Huntsville. (OWN) Love & Marriage: Huntsville follows three high-powered African-American couples who are longtime friends and who come together to revitalize the thriving city of Huntsville, Alabama, through their joint real estate venture, The Comeback Group. The bombshell announcement was apparently made without any warning given to Luke and Lionel. A few months later, Entertainment Tonight caught up with Luke and he admitted that he didn’t know his fate with the show. In fact, no one knows who will be back next season! “It’s been interesting,” the country star said of Idol‘s changes for the upcoming season. “It’s been something Disney been really tightlipped about with me and Lionel and [host] Ryan [Seacrest]. Recently, Farrah Abraham appeared on the Coffee & Cleavage podcast to discuss her OnlyFans adventures. As Teen Mom fans and Farrah’s critics alike may recall, Farrah is on OnlyFans as a content creator. She has uploaded hundreds of photos, over 1,000 videos, and has managed to accrue tens of thousands of “likes” on the adult media subscription platform. Additionally, she met her boyfriend through OnlyFans. Many people might wish to connect with and sleep with their favorite sex worker on OnlyFans. The specific reality comeback that she threatened would relate to OnlyFans and would allegedly air in 2024 on A&E. On the podcast, Farrah admitted that she’s unsure of when the alleged reality show will air. “I did a show, I recorded a show and I talked about [meeting my boyfriend on OnlyFans] on an A&E show, and I don’t know if it’s going to be out this year or not,” the controversial Teen Mom alum confessed. According to Farrah, she’s very proud of (alleged) OnlyFans success. And accord ing to her, A&E is giving her a show to discuss it. Given Farrah’s very unusual way of understanding (and misunderstanding) the world, it’s hard to say how accurate that is. So I try to keep it true to showing a full, balanced life, even though I can’t show so much of that with the restrictions.” It’s not entirely clear what she means by that. OnlyFans has numerous restrictions, but most of those involve content — not only banning illegal material (obviously) but also an array of consensual “kink” content. We’re unaware of any way in which Farrah’s “full, balanced life” would fall under the same category as, say, watersports. We are just days away from history being made. On July 8, Jenn Tran will debut as the first-ever Bachelorette of Asian-American descent. And while we’re very excited for Tran to begin her journey, choosing from a number of handsome and available men, many ABC viewers are already thinking far ahead. (ABC) Back in May, the network renewed this franchise for another go-around, surprising absolutely no one when you consider the low costs associated with the production… along with the success of Joey Graziadei in the lead role earlier this year. Christine Brown has a reason to celebrate: She can now eat nachos without any fear of the consequences. Don’t worry. (TLC) During an Instagram installment of “Car Confessions” on July 1, Brown pulled over and turned the camera over to face a certain establishment on the side of the road. She then brought up a very old story told by ex-spouse Kody Brown in the family’s 2012 memoir, Becoming Sister Wives: The Story of an Unconventional Marriage. “I was eating nachos and it really, really grossed him out,” Christin told her followers in this video. “This is the gas station where I got the nachos at.” In the aforementioned book, the father of 18 claimed that watching Christine eat nachos “cooled [his] attraction” to her, elaborating on his obnoxious stance way back the as follows: I was convinced that Christine was the cutest girl in the world, although she was a little chubby. We’d been on the road all night, we stopped at a gas station … Christine went into the Quickie Mart and bought herself what looked like the largest portion of chili cheese nachos that I’d ever seen.” Christine and Kody Brown are no longer married. That’s probably a good thing. Foxx was hospitalized under mysterious circumstances, and the infrequent updates on the Oscar winner’s condition were not encouraging. On social media, Foxx’s loved ones asked for prayers, but declined to divulge details about his condition. There were rumors that the beloved actor was unable to walk and would never be able to work again. And the initial details about his ordeal are terrifying. Jamie Foxx Breaks Silence On Mysterious Illness: I Was ‘Gone’ In late June 2024, Jamie was with a group of people while in Phoenix, AZ, presumably working. In a recording of his conversation, Jamie can be heard telling the group how on April 11, 2023, he had a “bad headache,” so he asked his “boy for Advil.” This is the first time Jamie has explained what exactly prompted him to go to the hospital. The problem is, to hear him tell it, there isn’t much he remembers after that. Explaining that he was “in Atlanta” when he was hospitalized, the Oscar winner shared that his sister and his daughter took him to “the first doctor.” But that’s about all he remembers. In the video, Jamie snaps his fingers and says, “I was gone for 20 days,” admitting that he does not “remember anything.” He added that when he saw his “next doctor” the physician told him there was something going on up there,” Jamie said, pointing to his head. At this point, Jamie notices that he’s being filmed, and looking right at the person filming says, “I won’t say it on camera.” While the person taking the footage didn’t manage to get the full story, it’s likely we’ll still hear it soon enough. Sorry, all you romantics and believers out there. But it really is all over between Kim Plath and Barry Plath. The latter Welcome to Plathville cast member filed her divorce paperwork in Georgia on June 26, stating that her marriage to Barry is “irretrievably broken,” according to various outlets. Kim and Barry Plath are featured in this confessional from their reality show. (TLC) In Kim’s divorce filing, the TLC personality confirmed that she was now living in Florida, listing her and Barry’s separation date as December 31, 2021. The reality stars did not publicly announce their separation until June 28, 2022 — after 24 years of marriage — at which time they said the following: “After considerable thought and discussion, we have decided to end our marriage,” said Kim and Barry to this outlet. “While this was not an easy decision, we know it’s the best choice for both of us. “We have been through many highs and lows in our 24 years of marriage and as we navigate this new chapter in our lives, we will co-parent our amazing children.” Kim and Barry Plath on air. (TLC) This statement from 2022 was released on the same evening TLC aired an episode that featured Barry saying he felt betrayed by his spouse. “One thing I thought wouldn’t ever be shaken was us. In her divorce papers, she has asked for primary custody of the three minor kids (out of six overall) that she shares with Barry: Amber 15, Cassia, 13, and Mercy, 11. The wife of Kanye West, Bianca Censori, is accused of sending porn to Yeezy employees. This spring, we reported that Kanye West’s former assistant is suing him. She is not the only one taking him to court. Another lawsuit accuses him of major financial wrongdoing and an abhorrent workplace environment in which employees were degraded as “slaves” and were not properly paid. And there’s more. The lawsuit does not target Kanye’s wife, Bianca Censori. But it does describe her as having sent porn to at least one employee. That legal filing alleges that Bianca Censori, the wife of Kanye West, shared a link to “hardcore” sexual content with one of his employees. This was, apparently, following Ye’s “Yeezy Porn” studio announcement in April. The filing includes allegations that these videos were also accessible to staffers who were minors. Rather, it targets Kanye West and his former chief of staff, notorious alt-right “influencer” Milo Yiannopoulos. According to the lawsuit, the two of them did not properly pay employees for their long hours as they worked to complete a Yeezy porn app by May 1. The lawsuit specifically describes West and Yiannopoulos of “forced labor and cruel, inhuman, degrading treatment” of employees. Thornton/Getty Images for BET) The lawsuit includes things much worse than inappropriate texts According to court documents, employees were subjected to racist remarks and referred to as “new slaves” while working on app development. Notably, Buzzfeed confirmed in 2017 that Milo Yiannopoulos conspired with various white nationalists, including those who write for explicitly Neo-Nazi publications, to push white nationalism into the conservative mainstream. As such, these remarks and this sort of abhorrent work culture are tragically unsurprising. Oddly enough, Kanye’s porn studio aspirations drove Yiannopolous to resign. One of the cornerstones of fascist ideology is an opposition to expression of human sexuality and a desire to strictly control art. Allegedly, Milo Yiannopoulos should have paid the employees $120,000 when the app was complete. The condition was that they work demanding hours — without complaint. There were non-discrimination agreements, and allegedly they received orders to sign them or risk termination without pay. The lawsuit also says that minors — some of whom were Black and from other countries, even under the age of 14 — had to sign “volunteer” agreements. In most cases, a boss’ romantic partner should not be sending NSFW material to their employees. But the real focus appears to be on alleged unpaid wages and outrageous, inhuman treatment.
