The upcoming 47th season of Survivor is poised to be the biggest yet. You don’t run nearly a quarter of a century on network television if you don’t continually bring it! While secrets and spoilers about the upcoming season are kept pretty much under lock and key for the enjoyment of fans, there are still some tidbits we can share going into the explosive new competition. Where are we off to? Who will be competing? And what spoilers do we know heading into the premiere? Let’s discuss! The competition will kick off with a special two-hour premiere episode. Just like for Seasons 45 and 46, the remaining episodes of Season 47 will all be 90 minutes long. This should give you plenty of time to get to know contestants and land on a favorite, while watching that favorite navigate grueling challenges and backstabbers! It will all culminate with a three-hour finale, date TBD. From the casting site for Survivor, the season would finish filming around mid-July 2024, meaning that no matter who you root for, they’ll be home safe and sound by the time the season airs. Speaking of the cast… Comedian Jon Lovett is competing on Survivor season 47 – but how far will he go? (CBS/Youtube) ‘Survivor’ 47 Cast & Contestants: Is That… Jon Lovett? Now, typically speaking, viewers are not introduced to the cast of a new season until closer to the premiere episode. However, following the season 46 finale, CBS dropped the first look trailer, and few faces were confirmed for the competition. First, Jeff Probst was back, as he clearly is showing no plans to retire as host, and talked about the show ahead in the trailer. “Every Survivor story begins with an empty page. It’s up to the players to leave their mark,” he says. Then, we meet a few of the players, who do not introduce themselves by name, but gave us enough clues to do some digging. (Youtube/CBS) Like Sierra Wright. She was crowned Miss Delaware USA in 2018 and Miss Delaware Teen USA in 2015. She calls herself an “underdog”, but if we’ve learned anything, we know never to count out a beauty queen! Another among the castaways is Jon Lovett. Fans were shocked to see the Obama-era speech writer and comedian show up in the trailer, admitting point-blank, “I have no outdoor skills. What am I doing here?” The rest of the cast will be announced closer to the premiere. Location, Location, Location We’re back, baby! As you can imagine, as one of CBS’ hit shows, most of the twists and turns of the season have been kept very tight-lipped. However, we did learn a bit from Jon Lovett when he appear on The Late Show in June, alongside his “Pod Save America” co-hosts, Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor. When Stephen Colbert remarked how fit Jon looked, he replied, “It was either Survivor or Ozempic.” As for what he could share, Jon immediately said that the show’s non-disclosure agreement is “insane,” and all he could reveal was that he was on the island “for a length of time.” However, he did add that he had an “advantage” while being on the island. “I had an advantage – I consider anything below a Four Seasons camping out.” However, given what we know about the filming schedule, it’s a pretty forgone conclusion that Jon does not make it to the finale. The Rachel Leviss revenge porn trial has just taken a very unexpected turn, as Tom Sandoval is now suing ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix for her role in the scandal. As we reported earlier this week, a trial date has been set for Rachel’s suit against her former costars. But now, a new layer of complexity has been added in the form of Tom’s lawsuit against Ariana. Tom and Raquel’s romance has come to an end, but the fallout will likely remain with them for the rest of their lives! (Bravo) The Tom-Ariana breakup was already quite messy. And now there’s a chance that the exes might wind up squaring off in court. Sandoval’s attorney, Matthew Geragos, insisted that the move from Sandoval was a “customary” one carried out with the goal of protecting his own best interests. “This customary legal action was crucial to ensure that liability, if any, is fairly distributed based on the actual level of involvement and fault of each party,” the lawyer said this week. In previous comments on the case, Ariana’s legal team alleged that Rachel’s suit was purely punitive. They claimed it was filed with no intention other than exacting revenge against those who she felt had wronged her. In court documents obtained by Page Six, Ariana’s lawyers allege that Raquel “seeks to punish” and “blame Ms. Madix for the negative reaction [Leviss] received as a result of her affair with” Sandoval. The lawyers allege that Raquel’s lawsuit is “an abuse of the legal process.” They add that it “does not seek to vindicate any cognizable rights.” Instead, they claim, Rachel is attempting to limit Ariana’s right to free speech. The closest has been acknowledging in a 2014 GQ interview that some stunts — presumably, normal stunt work took a toll on his body. He was, at the time, months away from turning 70. Naomi Pomeroy, one of the most respected chefs in the country and a veteran of the reality television universe, died over the weekend following an inner tube accident in the Willamette River in Oregon. (Bravo) According to a press release issue by Benton County Sheriff’s Office, authorities are still searching for Pomeroy’s body. The fatal incident took place around 8:25 p.m. on July 13 … as Pomeroy was attached to a paddleboard while her husband, Kyle Linden Webster, and a third individual were on tubes that were secured together. When the group hit challenging currents near river mile 132 in Corvallis, Oregon, Pomeroy was “pulled under the water and unable to free herself due to the paddleboard leash,” reads this official document. The Corvallis Fire Department located Webster and the third person, who were safely on the shore, when they arrived on the scene. But the same could not be said for Pomeroy. Naomi Pomeroy was a regular in the Top Chef franchise. May she rest in peace. (Bravo) Pomeroy appeared on Iron Chef and season 3 of Top Chef Masters, where she finished in fourth place. Two years later, she was named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs. The Bravo alum opened a Portland cocktail bar called Expatriate with her husband in 2013 — and then the following year, she earned a James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific. But it seems rather clear what the long-time 1000-lb Sisters star has been up to during this hiatus… and that’s the following: She’s been losing weight! (TLC) Fans had been wondering about Brown’s status for the past few months because she had been sharing a number of posts from North Carolina — which is where her daughter, Maddie, lives. On their YouTube channel a couple days ago, meanwhile, Mykelti Brown and her husband Tony Padron told fans that they were relocating to this state… with the latter accidentally revealing Janelle’s new whereabouts, as well. “Janelle lives out there,” Tony told viewers during this video, prompting his spouse to jump in as follows: “I also don’t think that was released yet.” Janelle Brown is featured here on the Sister Wives tell-all special. According to a new report, The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 will conclude in a few weeks with one cast member growing especially angry and irritated over the actions of another cast member. (Bravo) Simply put… “The upcoming Real Housewives of New Jersey season finale will be just as tense, uncomfortable, and explosive as the rest of the season,” reads a Facebook account that credit YouTube page Up and Adam for this scoop. The finale will feature Danielle Cabral throwing a glass pitcher at Jennifer Aydin as their previous drama reignites. According to insiders, Cabral’s behavior was downright “violent.” She reportedly lunged at Aydin after Aydin commented negatively about Nate Cabral. (Facebook) Now… hurling things at one another is not exactly a new development for cast members on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. One could argue that Teresa Giudice flipping over a table way back in the day truly put both her and the show in general on the television map. As cited above, they will be held in Paris this year — and Dion speaks fluent French, having been born in Quebec. This would therefore seem like the perfect opportunity, right? Shannen had been battling cancer on-and-off since 2015. She was a fighter right to the very end. And the end was incredibly painful. After she revealed that the cancer had spread to her bones as well as her brain, she quickly added that she had given her final rest some thought, and she wasn’t shy about sharing details. First, fingers are pointed to former Charmed costar, Alyssa Milano. Shannen was notoriously fired from the CW show after the 3rd season. Each actress has their side of the story about what went down, but they never squashed their differences before her passing. Alyssa did release a statement after her death, however, talking about their “complicated relationship.” But Shannen had more going on than a petty Hollywood rivalry. Sadly, in 2023, Shannen filed for a divorce from her husband of 11 years, Kurt Iswarienko. For a year, the two battled it out over who got what in terms of money, and it looked like things would never work themselves out before her death. Thankfully, the day before her passing, Shannen was able to finalize her divorce. When is Shannen Doherty’s Funeral? As of now, details about a memorial and funeral for Shannen have not been released to the public. It’s our hope, however, that her family will honor her requests for the day. In that way, it can be seen as rather positive that Shannen was willing to talk so openly about such a delicate subject. For one thing, it ensures her wishes are met. But for another, it allowed Shannen not to live in fear, especially when she was fighting so hard to live! In a previous podcast, Shannen talked about her hopes to have a few more years to get that much closer to a cure. “I always talk about the fact that we just need to squeeze out another three to five years,” Shannen said when she talked about how long she has to live. “And then there’s going to be T-cell therapy or there’s going to be this.” Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2015. She underwent chemotherapy until February 2017, and successfully went into remission by April that year. By February 2020, however, Doherty announced that her cancer had returned as stage IV. The next chapter of Scandoval has begun; Raquel Leviss has filed a lawsuit against her former co-stars – and it’s ugly! The bombshell dropped on Thursday, February 29: Rachel “Raquel” Leviss filed a complaint against her former lover Tom Sandoval AND his ex Ariana Madix for revenge porn and eavesdropping, among other things. In short, Raquel is claiming BOTH Tom and Ariana have played her dirty, and she’s about to fight them tooth and nail. ((Photo by Araya Doheny/Getty Images)) Raquel’s Lawsuit: Trial Date Set According to Deadline, a judge ruled that the lawsuit filed in February 2024 by Rachel against her former Vanderpump Rules co-stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix will move forward to trial, despite Tom and Ariana’s attempts to have the case thrown out. As of now, the case is set to got to trial on November 3, 2025. Why Is Raquel Suing Tom and Ariana After Scandoval According to multiple sources who have see the docs, a complaint filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court confirms Raquel is suing Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix for the following: Revenge porn, eavesdropping, intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy, all following the fallout from her affair with Tom. The suit claims that there is “more to the story” than what people know and followed on the reality show, Vanderpump Rules. “Lost in the mix was that Leviss was a victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man, who recorded sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge or consent, which were then distributed, disseminated and discussed publicly by a scorned woman seeking vengeance, catalyzing the scandal,” the complaint states. When Judge Daniel Crowley issued the trial date, he explained why he agreed the case could proceed. “Madix’s conduct is not protected under the anti-SLAPP statute because the alleged conduct was illegal as a matter of law,” Judge Crowley said in his minute order. This is the video that was the catalyst for Ariana Madix, Tom’s then girlfriend of nine years, to learn about his affair with Raquel. She accidentally saw the video on his phone, alerting her to the relationship. In the lawsuit, she also recounts an incident in which she alleges that, on Mar. 4, 2023, she “confronted Sandoval for secretly recording pornographic videos of her and storing them unprotected on his phone.” The incident allegedly left Tom “rattled” and she insists he “refused to leave Leviss’s apartment in spite of her requests.” Her recount is that she was “forced to have her sister and brother-in-law pick her up and drive her to their home.” Ariana talked about the famous video on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast. “I decided to be adventurous and look at the adult section on the TV, and Tom and I FaceTimed a lot, so it turned into something more of an intimate FaceTime. It was reported she would not be returning after a dispute over salary, but there’s even more to that story. “Leviss, who was humiliated and villainized for public consumption, remains a shell of her former self, with career prospects stunted and her reputation in tatters,” the lawsuit reads, alleging that, because of what happened, she has no longer been able to find work. She recently has been able to make opportunities for herself, starting her own podcast called “Rachel Goes Rogue” and modeling during New York Fashion Week.
