American Idol bid farewell to one of its own on Monday night. The long-running competition honored Mandisa — a Season 5 finalist who was found dead inside of her home in Nashville this month — by having series alums Colton Dixon, Melinda Doolittle and Danny Gokey return and reunite to perform the single “Shackles” by Mary Mary. Mandisa belted out this same track” as a contestant on the program, saying back in 2006 that the song meant a lot to her “because it’s a testimony that there’s nothing too hard for God.” The artist later recorded this song for her debut album, True Beauty, in 2007. We’re going to miss her, but our loss is heaven’s gain.” For the record, we do not yet know Mandisa’s cause of death. A contemporary Christian singer who advanced to the top 10 on American Idol on Season 5 and who won a Grammy Award for her 2013 album “Overcomer,” she was 47 years old when she passed away. “We can confirm that yesterday Mandisa was found in her home deceased. Ariana Madix and her lawyers had some choice words for Raquel Leviss this week. Back in February, Raquel filed a lawsuit against Ariana and her ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval. As you’re probably aware, Tom cheated on Ariana with Raquel, and the affair is still creating controversy on Vanderpump Rules. Raquel is now accusing the former couple of revenge porn, intentional infliction of emotional distress, eavesdropping, and invasion of privacy. Ariana Madix Claps Back at Raquel Leviss But in new court documents obtained by Page Six, Ariana’s lawyers allege that Raquel “seeks to punish” and “blame Ms. Madix for the negative reaction [Leviss] received as a result of her affair with” Sandoval. Ariana’s lawyers claim that she was “devastated and immediately confronted” Sandoval about his affair. She then sent Leviss a text that read, “you’re dead to me,” along with the video. The attorneys note, however, that that was the only time that Ariana shared the footage with anyone. (Photo by Rodin Eckenroth/Getty Images) Ariana Tells Her Side of the Story In a court filing, Ariana says she didn’t “share or show any of the video footage she found” because Sandoval deleted it off her phone during their subsequent argument. “I did not send the videos to anyone else … I only saw the video of [Leviss] masturbating in places secluded from others — alone in the bathroom stall and in the alley with Mr. Sandoval,” Leviss writes. “A heated argument ensued between me and Mr. Sandoval, and Mr. Sandoval forcibly grabbed my phone from my hands, causing my credit cards and driver’s license to fall to the pavement,” she continues. “I quickly grabbed my cards off the pavement and chased after Mr. Sandoval, who had further distanced himself from the club. The former inmate — who served more than eight years in prison for conspiring to murder her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, with ex-boyfriend Nick Godejohn — separated from husband Ryan Scott Anderson in March. She then filed for divorce a few days later. Both of these actions came mere months after Blanchard became a free woman. Back in 2016, Blanchard pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of her mother. While behind began, she began correspondence with Anderson and the pair ultimately exchanged vows in July 2022. She and Urker also met while the former was incarcerated, having connected through a prison pen pal program and then getting engaged in April 2019. After this relationship ended, she struck things up with Anderson. According to TMZ, Urker reached out to his ex after she announced her marriage was over. In an Instagram post last monty, meanwhile, Anderson addressed the split and referenced the upcoming Lifetime series Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, telling his followers that they will see what “really happened” when this program is available to watch in June. The Princess of Wales, of course, has been keeping a lower profile in recent weeks as she continues to deal with health issues. Last Tuesday night marked the end of an era on TLC. As previously dissected and analyzed, Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff bid farewell to Little People, Big World on the Season 25 finale… having told podcast listeners a few weeks prior that they were walking away from the series. “We are done. That part of our lives, that chapter has closed,” Tori said at the time, while Zach added that the couple “technically” wasn’t asked to return, although they had also made their preferences known to executives awhile back. Thankfully, Matt Roloff is here with an answer. Or something that resembles an answer, at least. Caryn Chandler and Matt Roloff aren’t getting along on Season 25 of Little People, Big World. (TLC) The father of four provided a great deal of insight late last week via Facebook, responding to those who have asked whether last week’s installment marked a SERIES finale for Little People, Big World. “Here is some more context,” Matt wrote, prior to delving into great detail behind the history of the program. “Way back in early August of 2010 (14 years ago) the Roloff family had a family meeting and afterwards we contacted the TLC attorney and announced we were Done… “We thought we had completed our mission of educating the world on what it’s like to be a Little Person in an average size world– Enough TV filming already!! … “A few days later on August 26th 2010– TLC PR department put out a press release that said… “Little People Big World Cancelled and season 6 would be the last.” Amy Roloff, Matt Roloff in season 25 of Little People, Big World. (TLC) The thing is, Matt then explained, producers then approached the Roloffs about doing a number of “specials,” right around the time Zach and Tori started dating. The family filmed a few of these specials… and then agreed to do a season (in 2012) based around weddings that were held on the Oregon farm. “This is WHY I THINK there is some hesitation to announce from TLC that the show is over,” Matt continued, citing the possibilities for more specials down the line. Perhaps even his wedding to fiance Caryn Chandler? Matt, Amy, Zach and Tori Roloff are featured in this TLC promotional photo. (TLC) Roloff went on to say ratings have been strong of late, admitting this might have a lot to do with his feud with Zach and Tori. Justin Bieber has given fans a new reason to be VERY concerned about his well-being. Over the past few months, the singer has seemed especially fragile and emotional, with Coachella attendees remarking just a few days ago how gaunt and disheveled Bieber looked to be on stage. Extremely sad news this weekend out of the entertainment industry: On Sunday, just two weeks after revealing she was pregnant, Monica Garcia announced that she had suffered a miscarriage. “One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible,” the former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member wrote on Instagram, adding: “I would show you my life in all aspects because that is what I agreed to do.” Garcia included a black-and-white photo of her holding hands with her boyfriend along with this moving message. At this point, the reality star confirmed she had lost her baby, writing online: “Unfortunately, today I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect. “‘There is no heartbeat.’ I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself.” Our heart breaks for Monica Garcia, who suffered a miscarriage in April 2024. (Bravo) Earlier this month, Garcia — who has not yet confirmed the name of her partner — told followers that she was expecting her fifth child. Worthy up. It’s something Meri Brown has written on Instagram for many months. But t’s now a lot more than a saying for this veteran Sister Wives cast member. It’s a way of life — and also a brand new business. Meri Brown opens up here to the TLC cameras. (TLC) Late this past week, Brown informed fans and followers that has launched a company titled — perhaps you’ve guessed it by now — Worthy Up. “[Worthy Up] has been in the works for a while, and it’s so fun to see it finally come to fruition! I’ve spent the better part of the past decade taking a good look at myself and figuring out who I am, what I want, and where I’m going. I had to Worthy Up,” Meri shared via the company’s Facebook page on Friday, April 26. “This community is a place where I will share my personal experiences of growth and hope to support you in your journey, too.” We’ll be honest: We’re not totally sure what Worthy Up is or does just yet… but look below! It has merchandise! According to the Facebook bio, Worthy Up is “a community focused on transformation and self discovery” and “a safe space for individuals to grow, connect, and inspire one another.” Earlier that same day, Brown teased the new project on social media, causing fans to buzz with guesses about the possible announcement. “Curious??” the mom of one captioned a blurred-out image, adding a wink face emoji and a “Worthy Up” hashtag. “4 p.m. MST today.” Those who have been following Meri’s social media journey over the past year or so have read many inspirational messages from the TLC personality. In 2016, she was ready to exclusively tell her story about an affair with then-candidate Donald Trump. The 9-month relationship that she described took place during 2006 and 2007, coinciding with his marriage to Melania. Having an affair is not a crime. Engaging in a financial conspiracy to alter the outcome of a presidential election is another matter. During Trump’s criminal trial in Manhattan in April 24, former friend and magazine publisher David Pecker testified about the scheme to purchase Karen McDougal’s story of an affair in order to keep it secret. He was behind everything from normal magazines like Men’s Fitness to tabloids like The National Enquirer. He was also at the center of the controversy surrounding the “catch and kill” scheme to bury stories that might potentially embarrass Trump. This included paying Karen McDougal a whopping $150,000 (and assisting her career) so that she would sign over exclusive rights to her story. The plan was for her to sign an NDA and then AMI would never publish the story, all as a carefully coordinated favor with the Trump campaign. And Trump and then-attorney Michael Cohen discussed the scheme on tape, referring to payments for “all of that info regarding our friend David.” As in David Pecker. PROSECUTION: “Is that true, Mr. Pecker, that your purpose in locking up the Karen McDougal story, was to influence the election?” PECKER: “Yes” — Katie Phang (@KatiePhang) April 26, 2024 Trump ‘knew’ that the Karen McDougal story would become public, according to Pecker While testifying at Trump’s trial on Thursday, April 25, David Pecker shared that Trump was initially unwilling to purchase the story. Pecker told the court that Trump “said clearly that he doesn’t buy stories because it always gets out.” Trump is facing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. All of this pertains to hush money payments ahead of the 2016 election. Pecker described to the court how he had purchased the exclusive rights to Karen McDougal’s story in 2016 while acting as the “eyes and ears” of the campaign and burying stories before they became public. This, he said, was part of an agreement with Trump and Cohen that he made in August of 2015. At that point, Pecker advised Trump to buy the rights to the story in order to protect his political campaign. Despite Trump’s initial reluctance, he then gave Pecker the go-ahead by way of then-attorney Cohen. This meant that Pecker negotiated a $150,000 payment to McDougal and promises to boost her career. McDougal would write for AMI magazines, grace magazine covers, launch her own beauty company, and even become a Radar Online anchor on the red carpet. The prosecution emphasizing for the jury that AMI agreed for purposes of the conciliation agreement that the McDougal payment constituted an unlawful corporate, in-kind contribution in violation of federal election law. — Katie Phang (@KatiePhang) April 26, 2024 David Pecker apparently realized that the scheme could land him in legal trouble Per his conversations, Pecker knew that he would “either be reimbursed by The Trump Organization or by Donald Trump.” According to Pecker, he spoke to his own legal counsel at the time and decided that he did not want Trump or the Trump organization to pay him. “I called Michael Cohen and I said to him, ‘The deal was off. I’m not going forward. It’s a bad idea and I want you to rip up the agreement,'” Pecker testified in court. “He was very, very angry, very upset, screaming basically at me. King Charles appears to be making progress. In a statement sent to journalists on April 26, Buckingham Palace said the monarch “will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis.” The same palace confirmed in February that King Charles was suffering from this illness. We still do not know the type of cancer nor the precise treatment King Charles has been undergoing. The cast of Dance Moms is reuniting for the first time, but it sounds like only one is willing to defend the woman who brought them together. Abby Lee Miller reality show legacy is not just one of turning her students into stars on Dance Moms, but for torturing them to do so. She’s been called every name in the book – bully, tyrant, abusive – but despite all the controversy, one of her former pupils came to her defense during the Dance Moms: The Reunion special. It truly is so tough.” ‘Dance Moms’ Cast Don’t Forgive Abby Lee Miller It may turn out to be that JoJo is the lone defender of her teacher, as the other girls have made it quite clear through the years that they’ve found Abby’s methods abusive and traumatic. For example, in October 2014, a lawsuit was filed on behalf of Paige Hyland, who was then only 13 years old. She claimed that she suffered emotional abuse during her time at the ALDC. She went so far as to claim Abbey “insulted and abused Paige on an almost daily basis, including cruel name calling, insults about Paige’s physical appearance and making offensive false and defamatory accusation [sic] about Paige’s family.” The suit was dismissed in July 2015. The latter has been very vocal about her distain for Abbey and how painful it has been for her to look back on her past. “I had more stress [on the show] than I did once I left. I have dissociated so much from that time,” Maddie Ziegler, who starred on the Lifetime reality TV show from 2011 until 2016, told Cosmopolitan in June 2022. “It’s weird because there were really amazing times, but there were also a lot of things that were really, really not great for us kids.” Arguably, Maddie and JoJo Siwa have been the biggest success stories to come out of the franchise. While JoJo showed some compassion for Abbey, she has less understanding for the girls who skipped the reunion. In fact, she directly called out the absent dancers: “Them not being here is kind of like, ‘Let me erase my past, pretend it never happened, shove it down the drain.’ When it’s like, that’s why you are who you are,” she said. Josh Duggar should suffer in prison forever as far as his cousin, Amy Duggar, is concerned. Disgraced criminal Josh Duggar remains in prison, where he receives occasional visits from some family members. Josh has also gotten into trouble for contraband. As a person and as a prisoner, Josh is the furthest thing from being a model citizen. It’s likely that Josh is having a miserable time in prison. Amy hopes that it gets worse for him. During his trial late that year, the court heard gruesome details of the photos and video that he obtained. Josh was so caught up in hiding his twisted interests from his wife and the rest of his family that he seemingly forgot that what he was doing was illegal. The court convicted Josh on December 9 of 2021. On May 25 of 2022, Josh received a nearly 13-year prison sentence. His attempts to appeal his case have, if anything, backfired. (Image Credit: WEtv) Amy Duggar isn’t attending Josh’s pity party “I hope every day there is absolute torture for him,” Amy Rachelle King, better known as Amy Duggar, told People regarding Josh Duggar’s ongoing prison sentence. “I really hope that,” she then explained, “because what he watched and what he was viewing for his own fulfillment is those kids experiencing torture.” Amy, who is also a mother, affirmed: “He deserves every second in there, and I hope he gets a longer term. (Image Credit: TLC) When Amy refers to ‘torture,’ she means at least part of that very literally It sounds like — and please keep in mind that we have followed the trial closely but are not experts in criminal investigations — Josh downloaded a torrent file (that is, a collection of tiny files that he obtained via peer-to-peer software and then reassembled; many programs update using this usually innocuous technology). This file apparently contained numerous images and videos, and while it’s unclear which piqued Josh’s interest and which files he fully downloaded, at least some parts of the collection were the work of Australian murderer and rapist Peter Scully. Scully’s unspeakable crimes targeted teen girls and little girls, and victims as young as 18 months. Even if Josh’s interests were more likely in less violent media featuring older prepubescent victims, those were still very young girls whose lives were being ruined. That is why Amy hopes that he suffers. Amy also knows Josh Duggar’s own victims In addition to her obvious sympathy for the children in the CSAM that Josh pursued and acquired, Josh molested multiple young girls when he was a teenager. That included four of his own sisters — meaning that they were Amy’s cousins. Josh felt protected then. He went on to cheat on his wife and download CSAM. Because Josh has never seemed genuinely interested in atoning or getting better, Amy said that she doesn’t “know if he’s doing any work” to become a decent person in prison. “I have not spoken to him, and I will not. Anna’s continued misplaced loyalty in the monster that she married makes things beyond awkward. Amy did run into Anna at a funeral in 2023, but that was it. “That was the last time. I wasn’t really expecting to see anyone there, and I was shocked to see her,” Amy recalled of the encounter. “I just looked at her and I said, ‘Anna,’ and she was like, ‘I just need space.’ That’s all she said to me.” There was a time when TLC’s cameras caught Josh Duggar pretending to be an upstanding man and a good husband to Anna Duggar.
