She very memorably refers to the country as “the land of Ikea.” She cited the appeal of Sweden — universal healthcare, free education, and a statistically long life expectancy. (She’s not wrong; Sweden also ranks very highly in terms of happiness) As is Steve Harvey’s brand, his initial reaction was to make a silly face. He also cracked a joke about healthcare costs that one incurs from assembling Ikea furniture at home. Then, however, things took a dark turn. Steve Harvey said some alarming things about Donald Trump “Donald Trump is not gonna be that bad,” Steve Harvey said on camera in 2017. “Don’t run.” He then claimed, perhaps in jest: “He’s gonna make Ikea bring they ass over here and start building them desks and stuff in America.” Worst of all, Harvey then grew louder in volume and cited the campaign slogan: “‘Cause he’s gonna make America great again! Speaking to GB News over the weekend, the author used some British lingo to say that Harry is “squashed to pieces” in his relationship with Meghan. She emphasized how, in her view, the former actress basically acted like a bully during this trip to Africa. As you may have unfortunately heard of late, it’s possible that the Duggars soon make a return to reality television. We cannot confirm at this time whether or not that will be the case. We can, however, report that another series about the Duggars is on the way — from the same folks who so gloriously exposed this family and its unusual religion last summer. Shiny Happy People shed a lot of light on the effed up Duggar family. (Amazon) Back in the middle of 2023, Amazon Prime released Shiny Happy People, a documentary that centered on the Institute of Basic Life Principles (IBLP), a religious cult (some might say) founded by Bill Gothard. This is the same cult (some might say) whose rules and strict regulations were imposed on all 19 Duggar children by their parents, Jim Bob and Michelle. “The IBLP teachings aren’t Christianity,” a woman says at one point in the program. “They’re something entirely different.” The series also featured interviews with Jill (Duggar) Dillard, Derick Dillard and Amy (Duggar) King’s involvement… all of whom shed more light than ever before on the belief system held by Jill’s polarizing parents. Jill, for her parent, said she was made to feel that saying no to her father was akin to saying no to God — and also said she was forced to give birth on camera. According to a video posted by @itsrowsdower on Instagram, new installments of the program are currently filming in Georgia. Late last week, CNN obtained surveillance footage from 2016 that depicted Diddy brutally assaulting Cassie Ventura back when the two were dating. Early on Sunday, meanwhile, Diddy turned a camera on himself and addressed the ugly beating in a video of his own. He posted it on Instagram. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life,” Combs says in the footage. “Sometimes you gotta do that. I was f-cked up. My behavior on that video is inexcusable.” He continues as follows: “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.” This may sound to some like a big step, but as we mentioned above… what else could Diddy say? But others see these as part of a series of red flags that could herald the family’s return to television. That seems like appropriate timing. It’s hard to think of someone who is more wholly deserving yet undeserving of Mother’s Day honors. By quantity? She’s such a mother. By quality? That’s another story. But it’s more than Mother’s day. Not only did Jana return after a two-year hiatus, but Jessa reemerged after months of silence to spam posts on multiple platforms, vlogging about her kids. Obviously, it’s possible that a resurgence in two Duggar daughters’ social media accounts could be a coincidence. But, in general, there are two main reasons for reality TV personalities to strategically post. The first is because they want to do product endorsements and similar ads, for money. In 2015, the world learned about Josh Duggar’s scandals. This went beyond his “pornography scandal,” which was a controversy within their cult, and him cheating on his wife, which was a cruel thing to do. When Josh was a teenager, he molested five young girls — including several of his own sisters. His parents covered it up, putting him into their cult’s idea of counseling without reporting the crime or actually addressing the problem. It soon became apparent that TLC was boiling the frog with viewers. Little by little, Jill & Jessa’s disgraceful parents began inching their way back onto the show. Fans feared that i was only a matter of time before Josh reappeared. Fortunately, that did not materialize. In 2021, Homeland Security officials arrested Josh Duggar for receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Later that year, he received his conviction. After such a grisly scandal — especially one where so many victims and accessories (at least, people who covered up Josh’s crimes) were Josh’s castmates — how could the family return to TV? We would love to believe that it’s impossible. But networks seldom cancel shows over personal moral horror. These are business decisions. Fleeing viewers, protesting viewers, and especially pressure from advertisers changes more TV exec minds than any amount of right and wrong. So what would it take to make a Duggar TV comeback happen? Unfortunately, it’s just for people to “forget” and “move on.” There are elements of our culture that are almost pathologically obsessed with “letting go” of wrongdoings. It could happen. If people shrug off wrongdoings, they’ll watch the Duggar cult on TV again and brush off moral outrage over it. Worse — many of them will pretend that it’s fine to watch Jim Bob and Michelle and their brood, because Josh is behind bars. It’s not like they had their own shows, and producers clearly felt that including toxic scumbags would do more good than harm to ratings. But one reality TV figure seems especially relevant. Could the Duggars stage a return, on some fringe streaming network or on WEtv or something like that? Absolutely. This legal maneuver is “imminent,” the tabloid very recently wrote of the actress, who has reportedly hired a “crisis PR [firm] to help navigate the divorce,” along with high-powered attorney Laura Wasser. Diddy has denied repeatedly that he was ever abusive to his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. CNN has just released video footage that suggests otherwise. Last November, when Cassie claimed that Diddy raped and abused her, among her allegations was an incident at InterContinental Century City. At the time, she claimed he had brutally beat her during an argument. Six months after the lawsuit had been filed – and ultimately settled – surveillance footage has been released of the event in question. Warning: This is incredibly difficult to watch. In the video, Diddy shoves, kicks, grabs, and violently throws a myriad of objects at his ex while the pair were staying at the now closed hotel in Los Angeles. But that is not the end of the video. Diddy Drags Cassie Along The Floor, Before Throwing Something At Her As Cassie lies motionless on the floor, Diddy continues to kick his ex twice more. Grabbing her purse and suitcase, he then makes as if to bring her back to their room, briefly dragging her body by grabbing her sweatshirt. At this point, it seems as if Diddy has given up, as he leaves her to return to his room. Cassie finally starts to get herself back to feet and use her phone. That’s when the rapper returns, still only wearing a towel. The video is taken from several angles from the hotel, with one camera picking up reflections in a nearby mirror. This footage appears to show Diddy shoving Cassie. Moments later, he sits down on a nearby chair, grabs an object off a table and throws it at her. He walks away again, when an elevator opens and someone exits into the hall. At this point in his life, Kody Brown’s family tree is very simple: He’s married to Robyn Brown and, well… that’s it. For years, the world has heard the fairly hilarious Avril Lavigne conspiracy theory that the “real” singer died, only to receive a clone or lookalike replacement. But … how does Avril feel about it? This unhinged claim alleges that the “real” Avril died in 2003 just after the release of her hit album, Let Go. So, even if music execs had the power to do all of that, it would be strange for them to try. The current Avril has the same face as she did in 2003, except for the (very graceful) passage of about two decades of time. Successful human cloning does not exist. And as “celebrity lookalike” plastic surgeries illustrate, neither does the ability to perfectly replicate another human face. But this conspiracy is inherently unreasonable … which means that you cannot reason with the people espousing it. The psychology of conspiracy theories is interesting. Some of them are literally just jokes — such as people jesting about the British royal family. (Not to be confused with people who think that King Charles’ portrait has a “hidden Baphomet”) In the case of the “swapped celebrity” conspiracies, the idea is rooted in a couple of major things: ignorance and creativity. People who don’t understand the dramatic differences in someone’s look (after pregnancy, cosmetic surgery, swapping makeup artists) look for answers, and “creatives” conjure up absurd explanations. It’s a question many fans are asking following the release of the singer’s biopic, “Back to Black.” Amy and Blake Fielder-Civil first met at a pub in 2005, before getting married on a whim during a trip to Miami, Florida in 2007. Unfortunately, the marriage fizzled out after just two years. Amy and Blake were divorced in 2009. The tumultuous relationship is now a focus in “Back to Black,” the latest biopic about the late singer. Thirteen years after Amy’s tragic fatal alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011, Blake, now 42 and a father of two, has managed to move on. The pair had a son together, Jack, in May 2011, making Blake a father. They later welcomed a second child, daughter Lola Jade, in April 2013. Blake and Sarah were reportedly married and divorced, though actual dates have been kept private making it difficult to piece together a timeline of their relationship. Her sophomore album, also titled “Back to Black,” went double platinum in under a year. Unfortunately, at 27 years old, Amy did not have a will set up for her newfound fame and fortune. Per British law, a person’s inheritance is distributed among their parents, spouse and children. Amy and Blake’s divorced two years prior to her death and did not have any children together, which left Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, as the estate’s sole inheritor. However, Blake filed a $1.4 million lawsuit against Mitch demanding not only a lump sum payout but also a monthly allowance, according to Fox News. Blake claimed he had a right to the money because he was with Amy for six years, including their marriage from 2007 to 2009, during which her music made her an international celebrity.
