In the wake of an update from from a cause very close to the heart of Kate Middleton, many observers around the globe have been asking themselves in the last 24 hours or so: Could the Princess be close to a return to the spotlight? On Tuesday, the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood published a report that called for businesses to invest more in children’s early years through employee support — including flexible working hours for parents or assistance with childcare. Prince William has since shared that his immediate family was “doing well” under the circumstances, having recently made his own return to public duties after taking time off to care for his spouse. In April, the future king met workers at Surplus to Supper, an organization dedicated to redistributing food to communities in need, where he received cards for Kate and his father, King Charles… who is also facing cancer. But the focus at this point is simply on her health and whatever is best for her personally, along with her three young kids. Following ongoing speculation about her whereabouts and well-being earlier this year, Middleton issued an emotional video statement about her health in March, announcing at the time that she would be undergoing preventive chemotherapy. “This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” Kate said in the emotional footage. “As you can imagine, this has taken time. The daughter of Teresa Giudice has been in a car crash. Oh no! After spending most of her life growing up on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Milania Giudice is a young adult. On Bravo and on social media, Milania has her own life, her own story, and sometimes her own drama. Most recently, Milania was in a car crash in her fancy new car. The vehicular collision reportedly occurred in Boonton, New Jersey on Friday, May 17. Milania’s pricey, luxurious vehicle ended up making unwanted contact with another car at an intersection. But which driver is to blame? According to the police report, the drivers did not see eye to eye when it came to the fault for the collision. And no, it doesn’t sound like Milania was driving like a bat out of hell, either. The 18-year-old reality TV personality told police that the other driver had driven despite the stop sign, striking her car in the intersection. (It is unclear if she was T-boned) We do not know the identity of the other driver. However, they asserted that they had come to a complete stop at the stop sign, looked both ways, and then driven through the intersection — only to nonetheless get into a car crash with Milania’s vehicle. Milania was not at fault for the car crash (according to police) Ultimately, the traffic cops at the scene ended up siding with Milania — and against the other driver. According to the report, the vehicular collision only took place because the other party displayed “inattention and failing to yield to the right of way.” In other words, Milania had right of way, and the stop sign should have prevented the collision. TMZ‘s report also included a statement from the Giudice family’s attorney, James Leonard. Not only did Leonard confirm that Milania did not sustain any injuries during the accident, he also noted: “We are extremely grateful that nobody was hurt. That’s all that matters.” Good! Preventable injuries (like a car crash) are the third leading cause of death in the United States. It’s good to hear that both Milania and the other driver were okay. But there’s some bad news for Milania following the car crash Unfortunately, Milania’s Mercedes-Benz — which was still so new that it has temporary tags — left the car crash scene via tow truck. Just because she’s from a wealthy family doesn’t mean that it doesn’t suck when her expensive belongings take damage. She just has more of a safety net. Shifting back to the positives, Milania recently celebrated her college acceptance. She applied to and received an acceptance letter to the University of Tampa. Someone punched JoJo Siwa in the face as she celebrated turning 21, the young singer announced. Yikes! Spring of 2024 has had its share of highs and lows for JoJo Siwa. JoJo’s single, “Karma,” launched, but also received criticism (and unfavorable comparisons to another verison of the song). And she celebrated her twenty-first birthday. That’s a big deal! While the idea that someone born in the 2000s is old enough to drink may feel (understandably) nauseating for many, she turned 21 on Sunday, May 19 of 2024. JoJo’s aim for celebrating this major milestone birthday acknowledged her status as a young adult. Was there drinking? Yes. But she also celebrated at Disney. The newly minted 21-year-old took to TikTok to share the aftermath of what looks like a classic twenty-first birthday. In the video, she appears to stumble around. She’s in a small kitchen. Confetti covers the floor. She’s dressed casually. And the counters behind her boast an array of bottles. “It’s my 21st birthday, I’m drunk as f–k right now,” JoJo tells her fans and followers as the video begins. JoJo reports: ‘I got punched in the eye’ We see JoJo dodging as objects come hurtling towards her from off-camera. Fortunately, as she quickly explains, she’s not being attacked: “It’s my bread I’m supposed to eat.” (Eating food helps reduce the effects of alcohol, to an extent) However, JoJo also shows off what appears to be a shiner beneath her right eye, reporting: “I got punched in the eye, it hurts really bad but I’m okay.” JoJo reassures her unseen companions that she’s okay. Then she turns back to the camera and offers a stage whisper of: “I’m not okay.” She is, seemingly, joking. Another TikTok clip showed JoJo celebrating her birthday at Disney World. Though she and others made use of filters reminiscent of JoJo’s new look from early April, there was no sign of her having been punched in the face. So it remains unclear when that happened. The filter itself refers to one of JoJo’s more dramatic recent looks — from her music video to “Karma.” ‘Karma’ received a mixed reception (sorry JoJo) Though JoJo’s “I got punched” video has an embedded message to remind people to stream “Karma,” it did not receive the warm reception that she wanted. Not from everyone. The song isn’t bad. JoJo’s version of the song isn’t bad. Perhaps the most fair criticism of JoJo’s new single is that it reminds people of Miley Cyrus’ cringe-yet-understandable Can’t Be Tamed era. When we first observed that fact, we had no idea how right we were. Over a dozen years ago, Miley turned down the song, “Karma.” Even though it would have been perfect for her immediate post-Disney persona. Instead, it trickled its way down through the years for JoJo to perform. Not her only link to the Cyrus family. Incidentally, another took up the mantle. Brit Smith performed “Karma.” It’s arguably a better iteration of the song than JoJo produced (even among people who enjoyed JoJo’s version), and is experiencing a bit of a renaissance on streaming charts as people draw the comparison. One of Train’s founding members, Charlie Colin, died at age 58 this week and the cause of his death is just upsetting. The musician, who started the successful band alongside OG members Pat Monahan, Rob Hotchkiss, Jimmy Stafford and Scott Underwood, passed away after a freak accident while in Brussel, Belgium. 50 ways to say goodbye, but this is just one of the worst. He was taking a shower when slipped and fell. What’s worse, his mother told the outlet that no one found Charlie until his friends returned home from their trip about 5 days ago. Because of that, it’s unclear why or when Charlie fell. We can’t imagine how horrible everyone feels, but even more so, how possible it might’ve been to save Charlie had someone else been in the house. Terrible. It may be time to get real when it comes to The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And it also may be time to soon bid the franchise farewell. The latest season of these Teresa Giudice-based series kicked off on May 6 to very little fanfare… with ratings for Episode 3 plummeting to a franchise low. Teresa Giudice appears exasperated in this confessional. (Bravo) The May 20 installment only garnered 699,000 thousands viewers overall, a scant 160,000 of whom comprised the advertiser-friendly demographic of 18-49-year olds. Might America finally be sick of these Garden State residents? In particular, might they have tired of a program that has become about Giudice and, really, Giudice only for multiple years now? Teresa isn’t very likable, and she isn’t very interesting at this point, either. Margaret Josephs on The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14. (Bravo) The trailer for Season 14 made it clear that the focus, once again, would be on Teresa this spring and summer. The main storyline to date has centered on Teresa’s marriage to Louis Ruelas, a controversial figure who may have “pissed her money away,” according to one cast member via the aforementioned preview. There’s also tension between Margaret Josephs and pals Jenn Fessler and Jackie Goldschneider, the latter two of whom have formed a newfound bond with, you guessed it… Teresa. “That’s who you want to associate yourself with?” Josephs asks Fessler, later referring to Jackie as “Judas” while discussing their rift in a conversation with Joe. “You want to tell Teresa everything you’ve been doing behind her back?” “I’m being friends with whomever I want to be friends with, and I don’t care!” Jackie responds You’re looking at a close-up on Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. (Bravo) Rachel Fuda also has words with Giudice this season, screaming at her in one scene:” “You’re a f–cking bully, Teresa,” she says. The strategy appears to include sabotaging public opinion with alarming, anonymous stories. Even though Sam Asghari has never spoken ill of his ex-wife, someone seems eager to do so. But if this wild tale of an axe-wielding pop star is true, that would be serious and scary. So it’s worth examining. It was a joyous event — one only possible after the restoration of her human rights following the abolition of her conservatorship. However, the the couple did not last much longer than a year. In August of 2023, they called it quits. Sam and Britney have finalized their divorce. By all accounts, what might have been a protracted legal battle accompanied by smear campaigns seems to have gone over smoothly. According to the source: “One of the last straws for Sam, there were many, Britney chased him with an axe.” That is, if true, very alarming! IF that’s true! There was nothing he could do to calm her down this time.” The source’s wild tale alleged that the altercation was so intense that Sam Asghari had to “leave” their home at the time. “The ‘axe incident’ definitely occurred when she was off her meds,” the insider then claimed. What’s interesting is that not only has Sam Asghari never spoken out against Britney during or following their divorce, but he’s actually defended her against moronic trolls. Some divorce agreements bar people from disparaging an ex, but clapping back at dirtbags on social media seems like something that Sam would do because he wanted to. Obviously, if Sam Asghari came forward and described his ex-wife hunting him with an axe, that would be very serious. But it’s hard for any reasonable person to take an anonymous claim like this seriously. Especially given the transparently obvious attempts to sour public opinion about Britney’s freedom. Should The Voice be canceled after 25 seasons? It’s up for debate amongst longtime fans who felt this past season was a big Zzzz. Now, to be clear, Season 26 is already full steam ahead. The winner for season 25 was crowned on May 21, and most people were happy with the choice. That said, there’s about to be another shakeup on the judging panel and the folks who are frustrated with the show right now are likely to be even more pissed next season. (Image Credit: NBC) ‘The Voice’ Isn’t Cancelled, But It Can’t Hold On To Judges When Gwen Stefani left The Voice, the hottest of the Jonas Brothers stepped into the coach’s chair. One pop singer filled in for another. But when Niall Horan did his last swivel on the NBC talent show, The Voice replaced the One Direction alum with … a Country music duo. Out the the current coaches, half hail from the same niche music genre. It feels like a different show altogether — and it’s alienating some longtime viewers. Chance the Rapper is not a Country singer. Neither is John Legend. However, Reba McEntire and Dan + Shay (who may be “one” coach, but are certainly two people) are Country singers. For example, Reddit denizens voiced criticisms ranging from calls for The Voice to be canceled to hoping that Season 26 is wildly different. “I can’t be the only person annoyed that Country Western (CW) is overshadowing everything. That is ridiculous.” That same Reddit prompt continued: “I usually watch until the voting starts. A lot of that has to do with the singer who stole hearts and won the competition. Team Reba’s Asher HaVon impressed audiences through the season. The Selma, Alabama native emerged as a frontrunner very early on and kept captivating fans week after week with his smooth vocal and big personality. Singing songs by Beyonce and Whitney Houston, Asher also made history as he became the first openly queer singer to win the show. Perhaps this pleased some of the fans who were hoping for a shakeup? And before you go and call him a liar, it seems to be a tradition now for old judges to make returns to the show. It’s a time for reflection for Matt Roloff. Both on a personal and also on a professional level. The father of four explained last month that Little People, Big World was likely done filming — at least when it comes to lengthy, full seasons of the TLC reality show. This revelation didn’t come as a shock to fans, considering Tori and Zach Roloff previously announced they were done with the show. (TLC) Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in a new interview, meanwhile, Matt reiterated this same basic point… while also taking a moment to look back on multiple decades of being on television. “I’m just thinking about what a journey,” Roloff told this outlet, reportedly with tears in his eyes. “Our family, we love each other…there’s been ups and downs as you can imagine but I think — all in all — I think we’ve accomplished some good things.” Of late, there have been many more downs than ups. Caryn Chandler and Matt Roloff weren’t getting along on Season 25 of Little People, Big World. (TLC) For over two years now, Matt has been in a feud with son Zach over the way the former handled a potential sale of his property in Oregon. In a shocking public call-out back in May 2022, Zach trashed his dad as a manipulating coward, writing of the way in which Matt explained how he arrived at the aforementioned farm sale: “This post is extremely misguided and false. My dad is manipulating the narrative right now before the season comes out,” Zach wrote online at that time. Father and son appear to disagree on whether or not Zach was given a chance to purchase this land prior to it going on sale; and/or on whether his dad was willing to give him any sort of discount. A model by the name of Crystal McKinney has filed a lawsuit in which she claims that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by Diddy. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, McKinney claims that Diddy forced her to perform oral sex on him in 2003. McKinney was just 22 at the time of the alleged attack. She says that Diddy lured her with promises of career advancement. McKinney says she lost consciousness shortly thereafter and woke up in a taxi. She says that she was then blackballed from the modeling industry. That turn of events prompted her to attempt suicide in 2004. It follows the release of shocking footage in which Diddy is seen assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel hallway. In a recent Instagram video, Diddy begged his fans for forgiveness. Janelle Brown suffered through another unwanted first this month. A couple weeks ago, the veteran Sister Wives star acknowledged her 55th birthday… but she did so in solemn fashion due to the absence of son Garrison. The 25-year old committed suicide about two months before this occasion. Janelle Brown looks very sad in this confessional on Sister Wives. (TLC) This past Monday, meanwhile, Janelle shared a photo of a homemade pie on Instagram — and then launched into an explanation behind why this dessert item made her sad. “Mother’s Day was surprisingly emotional for me. It just never has been a big holiday for me,” Janelle wrote as a caption to this image. “My children have always shown up for me and made me feel special everyday. Especially since they became independent adults and weren’t home all the time.” Janelle and Kody Brown are parents to six children. In addition to Garrison, the exes are also the parents to Logan, 29, Madison, 27, Hunter, 27, Gabriel, 22, and Savannah, 19. On May 20, Janelle wrote how this year, Mother’s Day felt “different,” continuing as follows: “All weekend I felt the grief so close to the surface. “And it was especially poignant when I made this simple pie. Our strawberry picking excursion combined with the fact that I randomly found rhubarb at the local farmers market made it feel like this pie was destined.” Back on May 16, Garrison’s cause of death was revealed by an autopsy report. Yes, he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. But this document also confirmed that Garrison’s blood alcohol level was .307% and that alcohol poisoning played a role in his passing. Some are very well-known. Others are relatively obscure. Dazzler may be an unfamiliar name to normies, but she’s a very well-known Marvel character. Specifically, from X-Men. While there’s more to share about Dazzler in a moment, we should note that fans (and perhaps studios) have been connecting Taylor with Dazzler for nearly a decade. This idea has been around since 2016 X-Men: Apocalypse came out in May of 2016. That film was largely a disappointment to fans of, let’s face it, Marvel’s best line of comics. But the film also included an easter egg: a Dazzler album cover in which the mutant character appeared to resemble Taylor Swift. A lot has changed since then. Disney’s acquisition of Fox was a horror for countless writers, actors, and others. It may be one of the final death blows to the entertainment industry as we know it. But it did get X-Men and related Marvel properties back under the shared Marvel umbrella where they belong. (A silver lining, but so not worth it) Now, the idea of Taylor playing Dazzler has resurfaced. This time, she could play the mutant as the MCU continues to unveil more X-Men characters. Could Dazzler show up in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ in July 2024? Taylor Swift is longtime friends with Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular Deadpool in Deadpool and Wolverine. The character’s name is Wade Wilson, he’s a little zany and a lot R-rated, and he’s buddying up with the most recognizable X-Men character: Wolverine. This film will feature Cassandra Nova as a primary antagonist. Cassandra Nova, in comics, is Professor X’s (literal) evil twin. In the womb, Charles Xavier sensed her evil and strangled her, but she somehow returned. In comics, she instigated a Sentinel attack against Genosha, resulting in the slaughter of millions of mutants. (She’s also how Emma Frost gained her iconic secondary mutation, her organic diamond form). It’s good that Cassandra Nova is appearing in a Deadpool film rather than in something more serious. She’s not a fan-favorite villain, despite her importance in several (Earth-616) comics storylines. But her presence, and Wolverine’s, and those of other mutants suggests the possibility that others — like Dazzler — could appear. Levy is the Deadpool and Wolverine director, and his presence raised both eyebrows and questions. Levy wisely evaded questions about Taylor Swift or the MCU when people asked, noting: “I’m no dummy.” Smart! However, comics blogger Daniel Richtman reported that Taylor had a “good meeting with Kevin Feige, and they are discussing a role in the MCU.” Looks like Taylor Swift MIGHT be gearing up to be the MCU's Dazzler! She has the ability to convert sound — from ambient noises to music blasting from speakers to her own voice — into various types of energy. Sometimes, she does this to emit concussive waves, energy shields, or even (less frequently) energy constructs. Most often, people recognize Dazzler as a comics-universe music star. Sometimes, a pop singer, other times, punk. Either way, when she performs, she really puts on a show. On X-Men ’97 Season 1, Episode 5, Dazzler appears in Genosha, entertaining her fellow mutants without fear of reprisal from baseline humans for displaying her abilities. Often, she has a cameo appearance in comics or on animated projects. We most often see her putting on a performance … since that is her job. The MCU is massive, yet only has room for so many characters. It is likely that, whether Taylor joins the MCU to play Dazzler or someone else portrays her, her appearance will be for select scenes, or even in the background — entertaining a crowd. Dazzler sometimes functions as a symbol — showing groups of non-mutants who accept a mutant pop star, or indicating spaces (like Genosha or Krakoa) where mutants are free to use their gifts in public without fear of arrest or murder by baseline humans. On X-Men ’97, Dazzler is one of multiple mutants entertaining a crowd on Genosha. The crowd here includes Rogue, Boom Boom, and others. Kathryn Dennis is in pretty big trouble with the law. The former Southern Charm cast member was arrested on Monday night in South Carolina and charged with driving under the influence…. after getting stopped by the Goose Creek Police Department in the town of Berkeley. The 32-year old was issued a ticket and booked by local authorities, multiple sources now confirm, after she was involved in a three-car collision. Kathryn Dennis sits down here for an interview on Bravo. (Bravo) In documents obtained by TMZ, a responding officer described the reality star’s alleged state at the accident scene as appearing impaired with “glossy eyes and an odor of alcohol coming from her person.” She’s also believed to have had an open container with there in her vehicle. OOPS! Dennis has been charged with a DUI for the transport of alcohol that had been opened and is due to appear for a hearing in court on June 4. Kathryn Dennis looks a tad bit disgusted in this photo. (Bravo) From what we can gather, this is Dennis’ first arrest for drinking and driving. However, she was reportedly at the center of a hit and run last October. A few months prior to this incident (for which Dennis was not charged), Dennis lost custody of her children to ex Thomas Ravenel after she failed numerous drug tests. Back in December 2020, Ravenel claimed that Dennis drank while pregnant, giving their son fetal alcohol syndrome. The two have been on ugly terms, lobbing insults back and forth at each other, for many years. Mere days before her DUI arrest on May 20, Dennis — who left Southern Charm after eight seasons in January 2023 — was with her son, Saint, who she shares Ravenel, and she wrote the following on Instagram about him at the time: “When your kiddo nails a touchdown and busts out the Madden victory dance. Ree Drummond, aka The Pioneer Woman, is welcoming her daughter Paige back to the ranch full-time! The 24-year-old, who studied at the University of Arkansas, has been out in the world on her own since school ended. But now, like so many 20-somethings out there who are struggling to find jobs that will pay for decent rent (forget about buying a house!), she’s returned home to roost. And perhaps start the task of taking over the family business? Pioneer Woman’s Daughter Paige, 24, Moves Back Home Turns out, Ree Drummond’s second oldest daughter has been back home for a few months now, helping her parents, including dad Ladd Drummond, tend to their ranch in Pawhuska, Okla. “Paige came home in January to work on the ranch full-time,” Ree shared in a blog post on May 20. While she had been hinting on social media that Paige was back with the family, she did not confirm it until the springtime. “She’s getting more and more experience in every aspect of ranching, from sorting cattle to weaning calves to fixing fence and water gaps to building salt boxes and a long list of other have-to chores,” she wrote of Paige working at the Drummond Ranch. However, while the world outside the ranch pushed her back home, it doesn’t mean that home life is glamorous! “She’s getting banged up, scratched, bruised, and clobbered… and time will tell if she’s in this for the long haul! Well, Soliz worked as Britney’s housekeeper; he reportedly would “clean toilets, mop floors, and pick up trash.” Soliz is also a convicted felon. According to arrest records, Soliz has been charged for multiple misdemeanors, including disturbing the peace, child endangerment and driving without a license. The pair had two run-ins with the law that night. The first, while partying and drinking in the hotel lobby, the police were called over accusations that Britney was harassing and threatening hotel employees and guests. The situation was deescalated and the couple returned to their hotel room. But several hours later, the police were called back, this time with paramedics in tow. The couple reportedly got into a fight that turned physical, with Britney’s leg getting cut. His body was discovered in a hot tub on his property in Pacific Palisades by the star’s assistant. Following a 911 call, paramedics arrived on the scene and declared Perry dead before even taking him to the hospital. It’s all very sad, and now we’re learning more that it’s also at least a little bit shady and/or confusing. Brown/Getty Images) According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, Perry had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy for Depression and anxiety more than a week before his death. HOWEVER, this same department concluded the ketamine in Perry’s system when he died was NOT from the treatment. Enter this investigation. The police are the DEA have been looking for months into just who supplied Perry with the drug that took his life, having even “interviews some key people in Hollywood,” TMZ reports. Most of these individuals have some kind of history with drug use. I feel like there are a lot of people that guide us. And that the pair would hopefully have a “baby in their arms by this time next year, possibly twins if they’re lucky enough.” But that moment had come and gone. Nina Dobrev is currently lying in a hospital bed after an accident landed her in doctors care! The Vampire Diaries alum, who is dating former professional snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White, survived a wipeout of her own, but not without injury. The photos show just how bad her bang up is, as well as her prognosis going forward. She presumably posted the images from a hospital. The first slide shows her smiling while sitting on a motorbike. The second picture shows the actress in the hospital with multiple injuries. Sporting a neck AND knee brace, Nina looks pretty bang up and pretty depressed from inside the ER. Just off-screen, a medical professional seems to be tending to her, but there’s no sign of her man, Shaun, nearby. In her Instagram stories, she shared another selfie, this time of her making a pouting face to the camera. As for her condition, Nina says she’s it’s serious, but not the end of the world. “I’m ok, but it’s going to be a long road of recovery ahead,” she wrote. Poor thing! Especially given the fact that she had big plans coming up! Nina Missing The Olympics?! Nina Dobrev and White have been dating since 2020, and since his retirement, the pair have had the chance to spend a lot of quality time together. In fact, though he no longer competes, Shaun’s headed to Paris in just a few short weeks for the upcoming Olympic Games. As he explained to Us Weekly, he was looking forward to having Nina by his side for the trip, since she speaks the language. “She speaks pretty fluent French. She’s going to hate me for saying that, she’s like, ‘It’s not fluent. I dabble,’’” Shaun joked of Nina, noting that her mom lives in the South of France. “We’ll definitely be going, hopefully for the Olympics and hanging out. I love the Summer Olympics.
