  2. League Classic’s nostalgia trip is winding down. Riot Games has confirmed that its current run will end after Season 3 of 2026, in January 2027, with the developer hoping to bring it back as an event mode later. In brief: League Classic’s current run ends in January 2027. Riot hopes to bring it back with changes and additions. Some regions face reduced queue availability. More champions and a free Act II pass are coming before the run ends. Why Is League Classic Ending? Riot says most players have returned to other League modes. In some regions, that shift has caused lengthy queues and wider matchmaking skill gaps. Classic was built around revisiting League’s early years, featuring the original Summoner’s Rift, old items, runes, masteries, and a starting roster of 60 champions. It also retained modern conveniences such as updated pings and spell buffering, giving returning players a mix of familiar mechanics and newer improvements. Will League Classic Return as a Rotating Game Mode? Riot’s goal is a future event-mode return with adjustments and additions. However, it hasn’t announced a return date or confirmed a recurring rotation schedule. League Classic Updates Before January 2027 Champion additions will continue through Patch 26.23, including Council poll favorites Volibear, Urgot, and Udyr. Patch 26.21 also brings a free-only Act II Classic Battle Pass. Japan and MENA will move to custom matches only, while selected other regions receive scheduled queue windows. Riot is also issuing refunds for Classic-specific content that will become unusable. The post League Classic Is Ending After Season 3 as Players Move On appeared first on GameRiv. 14. Hello, PUBG Esports fans! The final stretch of the 2026 PUBG Global Series is approaching: PGS Circuit 4. With PGS 10, PGS 11, and the Circuit Final, PGS 12, the three remaining tournaments will bring this year’s 12-event PUBG Global Series to a close. Circuit 4 is more than just the final circuit of the season. With the conclusion of PGS 12, the final PGS Points standings for the 2026 season will be determined, deciding the eight teams that will advance to PUBG Global Championship 2026. After three circuits of competition, the race for PGC is beginning to take shape—but nothing has been decided yet. With PGS 10, PGS 11, and double points on the line at PGS 12, there are still 240 PGS Points up for grabs. Which teams will earn their way to PGC 2026 through PGS Points? Let’s take a closer look at Circuit 4, the final competition of the 2026 PGS season. PGS Circuit 4 SchedulePGS Circuit 4 will take place from October 14 to November 1. PGS 10 Group Stage: October 14 Winners Stage: October 15 Survival Stage: October 16 Final Stage: October 17–18 PGS 11 Winners Stage: October 22 Survival Stage: October 23 Final Stage: October 24–25 PGS 12 Survival Stage: October 29 Grand Finals: October 30–November 1 As the Circuit Final, PGS 12 will see the top eight teams in the Circuit 4 PGS Points standings advance directly to the Grand Finals based on the points accumulated through PGS 10 and PGS 11. The remaining 16 teams will compete in the Survival Stage for the remaining spots in the Grand Finals. When PGS 12 comes to an end, it will mark not only the conclusion of Circuit 4, but also the end of the 2026 season-long PGS Points race spanning PGS 1 through PGS 12. PGS Points StandingsWith three circuits and nine PGS events now complete, the battle for PGS Points is more intense than ever. At the conclusion of Circuit 3, Virtus.pro leads the standings with 261 points, followed by Made in Thailand with 224 points, 17Gaming with 223 points, and T1 with 208 points. Currently occupying the final PGC qualification spot is Petrichor Road in eighth place with 152 points. But the gaps around the cutoff remain narrow. Seventh-place Falcons sit just two points ahead at 154, while ninth-place Gen.G Esports trail the current PGC qualification line by only seven points with 145. Most importantly, Circuit 4 is still to come. The current standings are far from the final picture of who will advance to PGC. PGC 2026 Qualification & PGS PointsThe top eight teams in the final PGS Points standings, accumulated across PGS 1 through PGS 12 during the 2026 season, will qualify for PGC 2026. And the final standings determine more than just qualification. The higher a team finishes in the PGS Points standings, the later the stage from which they will begin their PGC 2026 journey. The team finishing 1st in PGS Points will advance directly to the PGC 2026 Grand Finals. The 2nd-place team will enter at Survival Stage Day 1, while the teams finishing 3rd through 8th will begin their journey in the Qualifying Stage. This means Circuit 4 is about more than simply breaking into the Top 8. For teams already inside the qualification zone, the battle will continue until the very end as they fight for a higher PGS Points ranking and a more advantageous PGC seed. 240 PGS Points Are Still Up for Grabs In both PGS 10 and PGS 11, the winner will earn 60 PGS Points, with points awarded down through 16th place. At the Circuit Final, PGS 12, the points will be doubled. The winner will earn 120 points, with 96 points going to second place, and double the PGS 10 and PGS 11 point values applied throughout the standings. That means the maximum number of points a single team can earn in Circuit 4 is: 60 points (PGS 10 1st) + 60 points (PGS 11 1st) + 120 points (PGS 12 1st) = 240 points. Considering the current gaps both inside and outside the PGC qualification zone, the three remaining tournaments leave plenty of room for the final standings to change. For teams outside the Top 8, Circuit 4 represents one final opportunity to make their move. For those already inside, it will be the final test to defend their position and secure a higher PGC seed. PGS 10 GroupsAnd it all begins with PGS 10. The Group Stage groups have been confirmed for the 24 teams competing in PGS 10. The teams have been divided into Groups A, B, and C through a snake seeding format based on the final results of PGS 9. PGS 9 winner Gen.G Esports has been placed in Group A, second-place T1 in Group B, and third-place Falcons in Group C. From there, the direction of placement alternates according to the PGS 9 standings, distributing all 24 teams across the three groups. Group A: Gen.G Esports, Made in Thailand, Virtus.pro, TEAM LIQUID, DN SOOPers, Sharper Esports, Team Vitality, Natus Vincere Group B: T1, Alpha Gaming, Team Flash, eArena, Petrichor Road, FULL SENSE, TYLOO, JD Gaming Group C: Falcons, Geekay Esports, Anyone’s Legend, 17Gaming, FOUR ANGRY MEN, Twisted Minds, 09(Team Nemesis at PGS 9), Godlike \[Updated: October 12] Following GAM The Expendables’ withdrawal from PGS Circuit 4, Team Flash has been selected as the replacement team based on its placement in PVS Phase 1, in accordance with the existing team qualification criteria. ※ Further updates will be provided if there are any changes to the tournament. The Final Step to PGCThe 2026 PUBG Global Series journey that began with PGS 1 now has just three tournaments remaining. There is still everything to play for after Circuit 3. With 60 points available at each of PGS 10 and PGS 11, followed by 120 points at PGS 12, a total of 240 points remain on the table—and a single strong finish could reshape the race to PGC. Which teams will finish inside the final Top 8 and earn their place at PGC 2026? And which team will rise to the very top of the standings to secure a direct seed to the PGC Grand Finals? The final competition of the 2026 PUBG Global Series is about to begin. Tune in and cheer on your favorite teams as they make their final push toward PGC 2026! View the full article
  15. VALORANT Patch 13.08 kicks off Act 6 with Map Rating, Corrode changes, a fresh map rotation, and several fixes. Riot also shared a major enforcement update, revealing 171,000+ cheating bans during Act 5’s detection period. In brief: Riot detailed bans for cheating, botting, rank manipulation, toxicity, and gameplay abuse. Map Rating gives players a score and grade for their performance on individual maps. Corrode gets layout changes, while Bind and Corrode replace Ascent and Split in the rotation. Fixes address gameplay audio, the Masterful accolade, and Warden’s scope reticle. Cheat Detection and Reporting: Riot Reveals Act 5 Ban Numbers The enforcement report is a standout part of Patch 13.08. Riot’s figures cover August 18 to October 1, 2026, and count accounts banned from playing VALORANT for three days or longer. These are enforcement results from that period, rather than a single ban wave arriving with this patch. ViolationReported bansCheating171,000+Botting54,000+Rank manipulation, including boosters, boostees, hitchhikers, and wintraders76,000+Toxicity or communication abuse74,000+Repeated AFK or gameplay abuse288,000+Using streamsniping and/or instalocking tools14,000+ Repeated AFK and gameplay abuse accounted for the largest category. The figures also show enforcement reaching players who manipulate ranked matches or use external tools to gain an advantage. Riot says player reports help improve its detection tools and methods, and it’s asking players to keep reporting disruptive behavior in-game. The developer also plans to share penalty figures more regularly, while acknowledging that more work remains. And for players frustrated by suspicious opponents or teammates repeatedly ruining matches, this gives a clearer picture of the action Riot is taking. Continued reporting remains part of that process. Agent Buffs and Nerfs in Patch 13.08 Riot lists no direct agent or weapon balance buffs or nerfs in this patch. Killjoy receives a feedback improvement as moving doorways destroying her Alarmbot projectile will now trigger the appropriate destruction visuals and audio. Map Rating Explained Map Rating scores your proficiency on each map from 0 to 500, alongside a C to S grade. It considers overall, attacking, and defending win rates, plus Performance Score. Recent matches carry more weight. Ratings are private, support Competitive and Premier, and start fresh without historical match data. You can check your rating, stats, and top agents through Agent Select, the end-of-game screen, and Career. Performance Score Changes Riot also explains adjustments that already went live during Patch 13.06: Damage, adjusted kills, and adjusted deaths have greater scoring impact. Those adjusted metrics account for first bloods and first deaths. Chamber’s scoring better reflects his utility use. These changes address cases where contributions beyond fragging received too much weight. All Corrode Map Changes Corrode’s adjustments target rotations, Mid fights, and post-plant positioning: Defender routes: Shorter paths into the backs of A and B sites help rotations and retakes. Mid half wall: Now metal and shifted one meter, reducing wall spam and allowing movement toward A Link unseen from Top Mid. Lower Mid boxes: Moved toward B, with a jump-up added. Lower Mid wall: Raised to prevent peeking over it from the relocated boxes. A plant zone: Adjusted to weaken post-plant play from A Link. Competitive and Deathmatch Map Rotation Both queues receive the following rotation: Entering: Bind and Corrode. Leaving: Ascent and Split. Client Interface Updates Queue and Mode Select have a redesigned interface for matchmaking and custom games. Career also gains a navigation bar for easier access to Rank Legacy, Accolades, and Map Rating. Patch 13.08 Bug Fixes Corrected the displayed requirement for the Masterful accolade. Fixed alternate footsteps sometimes failing to play for characters in Fog of War. Corrected the location of body-fall audio when agents died in Fog of War. Fixed weapon-bounce sounds sometimes failing to trigger. Corrected Warden scope-reticle alignment during full-auto firing. Known Issues Team MVP can still display incorrectly in Match History. Riot is working on a fix. Range in Queue also remains disabled after it caused some players to enter a broken queue state while using the Practice Range. A fix is being tested. 19. League of Legends Patch 26.21 is putting Ranked balance back in focus, with buffs for several champions held back by pro play and nerfs to some of the strongest jungle picks. Azir, Orianna, and Ryze are getting help, while Lee Sin, Qiyana, Yasuo, and Yone are among the champions facing cuts. In Phroxzon’s Patch 26.21 preview, Riot outlines plans to stabilize the end-of-season climb. Item changes are also coming, including a Dawncore buff and nerfs to Gluttonous Greaves, Bastion Breaker, and ranged Hubris users. In brief: Patch 26.21 lists 11 champion buffs, 11 champion nerfs, and six champion adjustments. Azir, Orianna, and Ryze are receiving buffs as Riot eases restrictions tied to pro play. Lee Sin and Qiyana face jungle nerfs, while Yasuo and Yone are being tuned around their strong Shieldbow builds. Dawncore is getting buffed, and Taric and Twisted Fate are receiving changes involving untargetable champions. LoL Patch 26.21 Preview The table below covers every change listed in the preview image. Exact numerical changes are not included in this preview, and the planned adjustments may change before release. CategoryChampions or itemsChampion buffsAzir, Darius, Miss Fortune, Nunu, Orianna, Ryze, Sion, Taliyah, Vel’Koz, Xin Zhao, ZyraChampion nerfsCaitlyn, Jinx, Lee Sin, Nidalee, Qiyana, Rammus, Tristana, Viktor, Wukong, Yasuo, YoneChampion adjustmentsLocke, Renekton, Taric (QoL), Twisted Fate (QoL), Varus, ZaahenSystem buffsDawncoreSystem nerfsBastion Breaker, Gluttonous Greaves, Hubris (ranged users) Phroxzon’s accompanying explanation also mentions a Hubris buff for melee users, although the image only lists its ranged nerf. Champion Buffs: Azir, Orianna, and Ryze Get Some Breathing Room Riot wants to give champions whose win rates have been suppressed by pro-play balancing more room to perform in Ranked. Azir, Orianna, and Ryze are specifically mentioned as part of that approach. They join a broader buff list that includes Darius, Miss Fortune, Sion, and Zyra. The preview identifies the targets, but it does not specify which abilities or stats will change. Miss Fortune is worth watching because she is receiving a direct buff alongside a nerf to ranged Hubris users. Her overall strength after the patch will depend on both changes. Champion Nerfs: Lee Sin and Qiyana Lead the Jungle Changes According to Phroxzon, Lee Sin and Qiyana have been two of the strongest junglers, particularly at higher levels of play and in certain regions. Both are getting nerfed, but Riot is taking the accompanying Bastion Breaker changes into account. Qiyana could be hit by both her own adjustments and the item nerf, so the team wants to avoid cutting too much power at once. Nidalee, Rammus, and Wukong also appear on the nerf list, alongside several ranged carries. Yasuo and Yone Nerfs Target Their Current Power Curve Yasuo and Yone have been buying Immortal Shieldbow first more often, and Riot says those builds look strong. The team supports that direction because it lets their passives become relevant early. Phroxzon also argues that early lifesteal, such as a Vampiric Scepter on the way to Blade of the Ruined King, makes their laning less healthy. Riot wants clearer weaknesses before their first completed item while still allowing a strong spike afterward. The intended emphasis is on durability rather than simply increasing their ability to kill opponents. Exact changes remain unspecified in this preview. Item Changes: Dawncore Buffs and Assassin Item Tuning Dawncore is getting help because Riot considers it too weak to fill its intended role as a major late-build purchase for enchanters. Phroxzon says it is mostly purchased when players are already far ahead. The other item changes have different goals: Gluttonous Greaves: Riot is reducing their strength, particularly on marksmen. Hubris: Ranged users are getting nerfed, while melee users are getting buffed. Phroxzon highlights Jhin and Miss Fortune as strong current users. Bastion Breaker: Power is moving out of its stats, especially lethality, and into its anti-structure and objective passive. And for Bastion Breaker, Riot wants the purchase to lean more heavily on helping assassins influence objectives and structures. Its current combination of champion-killing power and wider map impact is considered too strong. Champion Adjustments: Taric and Twisted Fate QoL Changes Taric will regain the ability for his Q and R to apply to untargetable allies. Twisted Fate’s ultimate will reveal untargetable units, with Phroxzon giving Yuumi’s W, Master Yi’s Q, and Hexgate travel as examples. Locke, Renekton, Varus, and Zaahen are also listed for adjustments. Riot’s explanation highlights Locke as an example of making intended costs, such as mana usage, meaningful, but does not provide specific values. Across these changes, Riot wants to preserve champion strengths while making their weaknesses more noticeable. The full numerical breakdown will be needed to judge how far each buff, nerf, and adjustment goes.
