In this guide, we'll show you how to configure your microphone, headphones and voice settings to get the best communication experience on our TeamSpeak server.
Step 1 – Open TeamSpeak 3 Settings
Launch TeamSpeak 3.
Click Tools in the top menu.
Select Options.
Open the Playback section.
Step 2 – Configure Playback Settings
In the Playback section:
Select your headphones or speakers.
Choose the correct playback device.
Adjust the playback volume to a comfortable level.
Use the playback test to check your audio.
Make sure you can hear the test sound clearly.
Step 3 – Configure Your Microphone
Open the Capture section.
Select your microphone under Capture Device.
Make sure the correct microphone is selected.
Adjust the microphone settings if necessary.
Step 4 – Choose Your Voice Transmission Mode
TeamSpeak 3 offers different ways to transmit your voice:
Push-to-Talk
You speak only while holding a selected keyboard key.
Recommended for gaming and reducing background noise.
Continuous Transmission
Your microphone stays active while connected.
Voice Activation Detection
Your microphone automatically activates when you speak.
Adjust the activation level to avoid transmitting background noise.
Step 5 – Test Your Microphone
Use the microphone test option.
Speak normally into your microphone.
Check that your voice is detected correctly.
Adjust the activation level or microphone volume if needed.
Once everything works correctly, click Apply and OK.
You're Ready!
