  1. Drumul Talienilor – între istorie și munți Drumul Talienilor este un drum montan construit în timpul Primului Război Mondial în Munții Latoriței, județul Vâlcea. El a primit această denumire datorită prizonierilor italieni („talieni”, cum le spuneau localnicii) aduși aici de armata austro-ungară pentru a-l construi. Astăzi, drumul este un obiectiv turistic și istoric important, cu o lungime de aproximativ 45 km, care leagă Valea Lotrului de zona Ciunget – Malaia. Context istoric După intrarea României în război, în august 1916, zona Lotrului – Voineasa – Vidra a devenit un punct strategic. Armata austro-ungară, sprijinită de trupele germane, avea nevoie de drumuri prin munți pentru a transporta trupe, artilerie și provizii. În această regiune abruptă, greu accesibilă, a fost inițiat proiectul de construire a unui drum militar care să lege Valea Lotrului de văile din nord. Pentru construcție au fost aduși prizonieri italieni capturați pe frontul din Isonzo, după luptele dintre Austro-Ungaria și Italia. Aceștia au fost organizați în detașamente de muncă și puși să sape manual traseul prin stâncă, să ridice ziduri de sprijin și să amenajeze serpentine. Munca era extrem de grea: altitudini mari, climă aspră, lipsă de echipamente adecvate. Mulți prizonieri nu au rezistat, iar localnicii vorbesc despre cimitire improvizate în zona drumului. Drumul avea rol militar, nu economic. El permitea deplasarea rapidă a trupelor prin munți și asigura un culoar logistic pentru aprovizionare. Construcția a durat aproximativ doi ani (1916–1918), fiind finalizată spre sfârșitul războiului. Traseu și caracteristici tehnice Lungime: ~45 km Altitudine maximă: ~1.600 m Construcție: manuală, realizată prin săparea muntelui și amenajarea de ziduri de piatră pentru susținerea serpentinelor Funcție inițială: drum militar pentru armată și logistică Stare actuală: drum forestier neasfaltat, folosit în scop turistic și silvic Traseul începe din Voineasa și urcă prin Munții Latoriței, oferind panorame asupra lacului Vidra și crestelor Parângului și Căpățânii. În zona de culme se pot vedea încă urmele vechilor terasamente și ziduri de piatră ridicate de italieni. Mărturii și amintiri locale Localnicii din Voineasa și Malaia păstrează încă povești despre condițiile inumane de muncă. Se spune că: prizonierii italieni erau cazați în barăci improvizate, sub pază militară; alimentația era săracă și bolile decimau grupurile de muncitori; în unele puncte de pe drum se află încă ruine ale construcțiilor de piatră ridicate pentru stabilizare, considerate adevărate lucrări inginerești pentru acea vreme; au existat cimitire improvizate ale prizonierilor morți, însă astăzi acestea nu mai sunt vizibile. Moștenire istorică Deși drumul nu a mai avut un rol strategic după război, el a rămas ca mărturie a sacrificiului prizonierilor italieni și a ambiției armatei austro-ungare de a controla trecătorile Carpaților. Numele de „Drumul Talienilor” s-a păstrat în conștiința comunităților locale și s-a transmis din generație în generație. Astăzi, traseul este apreciat atât pentru valoarea sa istorică, cât și pentru peisajele spectaculoase pe care le oferă.   4. This patch, we’re looking in on bot lane, where shorter range champs like Samira have been slashing, dashing, and bashing things up. This hasn’t gone unnoticed, which is why Samira's an especially hot potato: although her win rates are fine, her ban rates are high— so we’re hoping these changes will help make her feel less frustrating to play against. Speaking of slashing, we’re also adjusting Katarina (and Urgot) to revitalize their on-hit builds, which were hit hard hard by our changes to Kraken Slayer. Other folks on the buff train due to item changes include Fiora and Lee Sin. And if this patch seems particularly buff heavy, it's because we also took a pass at bringing down the jungle's overall power.   5. Immortals: Fenyx Rising brings a cartoony take to Ubisoft's open-world formula, taking some liberal inspiration from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. While the game was fairly well-received by both fans and critics, it still came with plenty of those trademark Ubisoft open-world problems. Still, Immortals was one of 2020's biggest surprises, sliding in at the very tail-end of the year. Ubisoft recently released patch 1.1.1 for Immortals, bring a whole host of fixes and updates. Keep in mind this patch is also called 1.11, and on PS5 is known as 2.001. There are some sizable changes brought in this patch, and Ubisoft seems to be doing a good job of addressing problems. As said previously, the main highlight of patch 1.1.1 is the addition of loadouts in the main menu. Up to three different loadouts can be created in the inventory menu and swapped between at any time. This will significantly cut down on the time it takes for players looking to try out different gear sets or switch things up on the fly. The other big addition is that Nightmare difficulty will now be available at any time, where previously players had to beat the game once to unlock it. There are, of course, stability improvements, but Ubisoft detailed several smaller changes as well. On the gameplay front, the patch brings two changes. The first fixes an issue that would make attacks unresponsive when players open the menu while using Apollo's Arrow. The second fixes an issue that stopped players from moving when they summon their mount in combat. In terms of visuals and interface the patch fixes a problem that made it impossible to equip wings and helmets, and an FX issue with the "Wings of the Underworld" was fixed. Koei Tecmo and Gust Co.'s Atelier RPG series has been going for for well over twenty years now — debuting back on Playstation with Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg back in 1997 — and Switch has several entries in its library already. Each game in the series usually has a different protagonist in the lead role, although the upcoming Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy will be the first to feature the same lead hero as the previous game following its international success. We recently had the chance to interview Junzo Hosoi, producer of Atelier Ryza 2 and brand manager at Gust to find out more about this direct sequel, and ask about the popularity of the character and the possibility of an Atelier Ryza trilogy. Nintendo Life: Atelier Ryza was particularly well received in the West – what do you think it is about the game that struck such a chord with an international audience? Junzo Hosoi: The reason I think that Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout struck a chord with an international audience is because it used a real time tactics battle system, which is very popular in the West, instead of the turn-based system usually used in the series.   7. Bioware has revealed more on the imminent Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which was announced in November for a 2021 release on PC. Several of the project's leads recently gave a livestreamed presentation showing the game, discussing new features, visual improvements, and the reasons behind certain decisions about the remaster What's the Mass Effect Legendary Edition release date? Mass Effect Legendary Edition will launch on May 14, 2021 on both Origin and Steam. What's in the Legendary Edition? Mass Effect Legendary Edition will include the original trilogy remastered plus "over 40 DLC including all story content, promo weapons, armors and packs available from the start." However, it will not include a holographic training mode, the Pinnacle Station DLC, because the source code was lost, and it's so minor it wasn't considered worth rebuilding from scratch. As the LE doesn't include Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode (read on), it obviously doesn't include any of the multiplayer DLC either. The game has a unified front-end, which is to say a menu screen where you choose between the three games, and of course your progress and decisions carry over into the sequels as they always did. The three games are visually remastered for 4K, HDR, and DX11, with "tens of thousands" of up-ressed textures, enhanced models, lighting, shaders and VFX. It will support high refresh rate and ultra-wide (21:9) displays on PC. There are also improvements to depth-of-field, anti-aliasing, and an "unleashed"—which one presumes means unlocked—framerate on PC. There's a universal character creator across the trilogy with "a lot" more customisation options, and unified settings options across the three titles on PC (for some reason, each entry in the original trilogy had different settings). Probably the greatest relief in Bioware's demo was when a lift ride was shown on the PC version.   13. On a recent live stream, Valorant Game Director Joseph Ziegler dropped hints about more maps possibly joining the Valorant map pool before the end of the year. On January 11th, Tyler Erzberger, aka FionnOnFire, hosted a live stream hangout on the Valorant Twitch channel. He was joined by several Valorant developers, including Game Director Joseph Ziegler and Game Designer Sal Garazzo. The developers briefly touched upon different maps in Valorant, and they also dropped hints about any possible future maps.   16. Ghost of Tsushima: Legends va putea fi jucat intre 2-4 jucatori, fiecare alegand una din cele 4 clase: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin sau Assassin. Clasele sunt bazate pe luptatorii legendari care apar in misiunile mitice ale main-story-ului. Banuiesc ca e vorba despre Tadayori, Gosaku, Kensei si, probabil, cineva din clanul Sakai, Shimura sau Yarikawa. Din traileru de mai jos reiese ca fiecare clasa va avea abilitati unice, care nu sunt prezente in story mode. Chiar si decorul e schimbat, lumea va fi cea din mitologia japoneza, modul fiind similar cu Nioh ca prezentare. Legends va putea fi descarcat gratuit de cei care au cumparat Ghost of Tsushima, dar tot va fi necesara o subscriptie PS Plus. Pana la urma e multiplayer, iar Sony au aratat de mult ce parere au despre gratuitate. Acum cateva zile, Paul Tassi de la Forbes a desemnat Ghost of Tsushima "cel mai bine cotat joc al intregii generatii de console". Bine, cu cateva mentiuni de rigoare, dar va invit sa cititi articolul ca sa le intelegeti. Jocul a devenit si cel mai vandut joc exclusiv PS4 din Japonia, ceea ce spune ceva. In caaaz ca ati ratat, am facut si un micut review la Ghost of Tsushima. Faptul ca acest DLC se indeparteaza de la seriozitatea povestii lui Jin, este intrigant si...pur si simplu pare distractiv.
