It is one of the most reliable damage dealers in the loot cycle. In addition, the 30-30 is the second most preferred weapon in all regions. The top 2 are locked in. The variation can be seen from number 3 onwards. The CAR and the R-99 swap places, dealing modest damage, respectively. The preference is seen towards SMGs and damage-dealing semi-autos. As the season progresses, maybe the stats will change to reflect a shift in the meta. The Apex Legends streamer was charged with assault and faces a hefty fine. Another wave of controversy hits the Apex community. A popular content creator in Apex Legends, Thordan Smash, was arrested during a livestream. While fans initially suspected that he was a victim of swatting, it was later known that the arrest was legitimate and Thordan was indeed arrested on an outstanding warrant. Afterward, people thought it might be related to his involvement with leaking content for Apex Legends. His content may have been a reason, as he talks about potential updates for the game. During a Livestream in December of 2023, Thordan was arrested on camera. Speculations obviously started, and it was mostly considered to be a swatting, where viewers put in false information and try to initiate a police raid on a streamer. However, the arrest was legitimate, and he was taken into custody. He was charged with second-degree assault and criminal mischief with a fine of up to $1,000. After his arrest and subsequent bail, he posted an update on Twitter regarding the developing situation. He also talked about evidence that he posted and took down for legal reasons, claiming his innocence. Thordan has refrained from being too active on social media. Users on Reddit also suspected that the arrest was related to him working with leakers to post about Apex content before release. If so, the charges would see him leaking confidential information to the public. However, it is unrelated to his online persona. He is working towards clearing his name. The newest addition to Apex is a new category in the online marketplace of the game. Apex Legends has recently introduced a new micro-transaction option into the game. Dubbing it the Apex “Hot Drop” store, the new store rotation is personalized for every player and aims to cater to what the player wants. However, as soon as the store launched, there were multiple issues that players reported over on Twitter and on Reddit. The reception wasn’t as warm as Respawn would’ve liked. Respawn Obelisks Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) is a small, simple, yet influential mod that revamps Minecraft’s respawning system. Around the world, you will find new “respawn obelisks”. You can set your spawn at these obelisks by simply clicking them. This replaces beds’ respawning feature, so you can no longer respawn at beds (change this in the config). After dying, when you respawn at them, these obelisks will lose a set amount of charge. Keep the obelisk charged with ender pearls and eyes of ender (or, if you place a beacon under the obelisk, you can get infinite charge) otherwise you will get cursed when attempting to respawn there. The curse temporarily removes some of your max health. Features: Obelisks only work in their respective dimensions(kaboom if in the wrong dimension, like beds). You can find overworld obelisks in villages and small structures that spawn in plains biomes. Nether obelisks can be found in small blackstone shrines that spawn in the nether. End obelisks can be found in wild end ships floating throughout the outer end islands. Eventually, you may want to move these obelisks outside of their normal location. When breaking them, you will only get a “dormant obelisk”, which does nothing on its own. Use JEI to see how to turn these dormant obelisks back into normal ones. Respawn obelisks also need cores to be active. In wild obelisks, these cores are already present. You can use the cores from wild obelisks in your personal obelisks, but there is no way of crafting new cores. You can upgrade the max charge of cores/obelisks in several ways. Check JEI to view them. Respawn Obelisks has a ton of other features, many of which may go unnoticed. Core management To place cores inside of an obelisk, simply right-click the obelisk with the core. To remove it, shift-click the obelisk with an empty hand. Obelisk charging To charge an obelisk, simply right-click it with a valid charging item. All charging items can be seen in JEI. Comparator support Obelisks actually have support for comparators! They will produce a redstone signal based on the amount of charge the obelisk has. Make sure the comparator is reading the bottom half of the obelisk. Customizing obelisk If you want to change the side of the obelisk you respawn at, simply hold shift and scroll your mouse wheel. (Make sure you do this on the bottom half of the obelisk) Teleportation Using a recovery compass, you can teleport back to an obelisk by binding the compass to a lodestone under the obelisk. Revival Want to prevent your pet’s demise? No problem! Obelisks can respawn entities bound to their cores. When a bound entity has died, a totem icon will appear above the obelisk. Use a totem of undying on the obelisk to respawn up to 3 dead entities. If you are unable to bind an entity, it is likely because said entity can’t be respawned. In the config, you can find a whitelist for all respawn-able entities. Most passive creatures should be supported by default. Obelisk naming Want your obelisk to stand out? Simply rename the core in an anvil to change the name displayed above the obelisk. Soulbound/Obeliskbound enchantment Wish to keep items after death? Look no further! When respawning at an obelisk, items with the “obeliskbound” enchantment will be restored! By default, there are 3 levels. Each level gives a 25% chance to keep the item. This is configurable. You cannot trade with villagers to get the enchantment, nor can it be found in an enchantment table. Change this in the config. Immortality Curse When respawning at an obelisk with no charge, you will be cursed. Each level of this curse removes 1 heart, up to 5 times. After the 5th time, you will be sent to world spawn. Almost all of the vanilla structures in Minecraft have remained the same ever since they were added. Most structures after being added into the game remain untouched by the developers for some reason. If you visit a village in a newer version of the game and compare it with a village in an older version, you will notice that nothing has changed with regards to the shape and colors of the buildings. But not anymore! Structure Palettes Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.3) adds a config that allows you to use different block palettes for the vanilla structures. A block palette is a collection of blocks that will look good together. The block palette that is used in vanilla villages are one kind of log and the planks, stairs and slabs that are crafted from it. This mod allows you to change that using config files. You can have villages made of darker deepstone blocks, or nether themed blocks or pretty much whatever blocks you like. The mod will only allow you to replace the blocks without changing the shape of the structures. By default, the mod does nothing, you have to configure it to actually change the structures. The config file for the block palette used in the screenshots can be downloaded below. Download the latest version from below and unpack the zip into the structurepalettes config folder.
