League of Legends Patch 25.23 Notes: New Changes, Release Date, and More

Patch is shaping up to be yet another massive patch.

League of Legends Patch 25.23 is on the horizon, marking one of the last updates before Riot releases the Season 2026 update. Thus, in this patch, Riot is making some experimental changes and adjustments before the next season arrives.

Starting off with the biggest changes arriving in this patch, the Jungle. Riot is bringing even more champions to the jungle by giving them extra damage against Jungle monsters. Champions like Aatrox, Cho’Gath, Jayce, Malphite, and Riven are all receiving changes so they can Junlge effectively. In addition, Sunfire Cape is getting monster damage changes, making tank Junglers clear more efficiently.

Aside from the Jungle changes, we are also getting some nerfs and buffs. Ahri, Jhin, Rek’Sai, Skarner, and a few champions are getting buffed, while quite a number of Marksmen are getting nerfed. There are also some adjustments coming for Fizz, Mel, and Dr. Mundo.

Finally, let’s talk about the new champion, Zaaheen. He is a new Darkin champion similar to Aatrox, who will be joining League of Legends in this patch.

When Will Patch 25.23 Be Released?

League of Legends Patch 25.23 is expected to be released on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

• Europe Nordic & East: 3:00 CET

Patch 25.23 Champion Changes

Here are all the champion changes arriving in this patch.

New Champion

The new Darkin champion, Zaahen, will be arriving in this patch. He will be a Fighter/Bruiser and will be played in the Top lane.

Here’s a rundown of his abilities.

Passive – Cultivation of War

Zaahen’s attacks and abilities grant him stacks of Determination. Each stack of Determination grants him bonus Attack Damage.

When Determination is filled, Zaahen gains increased Attack Damage and can revive himself.

Q – The Darkin Glaive

Zaahen slashes twice on his next attack, dealing bonus damage and healing himself.

Zaahen can recast his ability to have his next attack deal bonus damage and knock up his target.

W – Dreaded Return

Zaahen stabs in a direction, damaging enemies hit, and then pulling them toward him.

E – Aureate Rush

Zaahen dashes and then slices around himself.

R – Grim Deliverance

Zaahen leaps into the air, becoming unstoppable, and takes reduced damage. He then slams down into the ground, doing area of effect damage and healing for a portion of the damage dealt.
