Wukong is one of the strongest champions in League of Legends right now. Let’s look over his skins and rank them from worst to best.

Wukong was released more than ten years ago. And being an older champion, his kit is relatively easy. He is mainly a fighter, but his passive makes him very tanky. Though he is mostly played in Jungle and Top Lane, you can also play Wukong in the mid-lane as he counters a lot of mid-lane carries. Also, he is an entertaining champion to play.

Though Wukong was always a reasonably strong pick, currently, he has one of the best winrates in Jungle. So this is the best time to pick up the Monkey King. He will be a strong option for you no matter where you play him. Wukong can hold his own in early to mid-game against any champions. During late games, you should look to group with your team as his damage starts to fall off, but he is always great at teamfights with his ultimate.

7. General Wukong

Among all the skins, General Wukong is by far the worst Wukong skin you can buy. For 750 RP, you don’t get any new animations or effects—just a new character model, which isn’t really an upgrade over his original model. So you will be basically wasting money to have a worse skin.

6. Volcanic Wukong

If Wukong had more skins, Volcanic Wukong would surely be in even lower rank. But Wukong only has a few skins, and this skin looks slightly better than General Wukong. So I put it in rank 6. The price is relatively high for what you are getting in return. There are no new animations or effects. If Volcanic Wukong gets a new splash art and some decent fiery particle effects, this could become a good skin. But for now, I wouldn’t recommend it.

5. Jade Dragon Wukong

The Jade Dragon Wukong skin sure looks cool. There are some new SFX/VFX effects as well. I love the color scheme of this skin. The Jade green looks great on his abilities. Jade Dragon Wukong skin is a good value-for-money option.

But that is the usual deal with all the new epic-tier skins. Still, Battle Academia Wukong looks underwhelming overall.

When it comes to classic Wukong skins, Underworld Wukong always comes to mind. Underworld Wukong was the best Wukong skin for quite some time. This is one of my favorite Wukong skins of all time.

The Radiant Wukong skin is more than six years old, but still, it is one of the best Wukong skins. The character model looks great. Also, the new animations and effects are amazing. I love the futuristic look of Lancer Stratus Wukong. This is certainly a different look for the Monkey King, but Riot has done a fantastic job with the skin. Lancer Stratus Wukong is definitely one of the best Wukong skins in his arsenal.
