As of now, VALORANT has introduced 24 playable characters in the game. Among them are 7 duelists, 6 initiators, 5 sentinels, and 6 controllers.

All agents in VALORANT have unique and useful abilities. However, due to the meta changes, balance changes, and map rotation, certain agents remain more favored compared to others. In this article, we’ll highlight 10 such agents that have the highest pick rate in the game right now.

1. Reyna

Everyone loves to play duelist. So, it is very obvious that a duelist will have the highest pick rate. And Reyna occupies that spot for now. In the last month, 11.4% of the total VALORANT-ranked matches had a Reyna in each team.

2. Omen

Omen has surprisingly made their way to the top as the second highest-picked agents in the game. Currently, Omen is the most picked Controller agent, with a 9.4% pick rate.

3. Jett

There cannot be a top-ten list without mentioning Jett. Despite several nerfs and buffs, Jett is going strong with a 9.3% pick rate across all ranks.

4. Cypher

Although Killjoy currently dominates as the favorite Sentinel in the highest-level competitive scene [VCT 2024 Masters], Cypher remains the most picked sentinel agent in VALORANT with a 7.8% pick rate.

5. Sage

Sage is the 5th most-picked agent right now. It is solely because the majority of the VALORANT-ranked players still prefer her, as she is an easy agent to play. Sage had a 7.3% pick rate in the last month.

6. Raze

Raze is unquestionably a good agent, but her abilities make her valuable only on specific maps. Overall, Raze has a 6.5% total pick rate right now. Which is not bad at all.

7. Sova

It looks like players don’t pick initiators that much in ranked matches, especially in the lower-rank lobbies. However, Sova has somehow managed to squeeze into the number 7 spot with a 5.1% pick rate.

8. Gekko

Gekko is a mid-tier agent who is good only for certain maps. In the past month, Gekko maintained a 4.8% pick rate across all ranks.

9. Chamber

Although Killjoy and Cypher are meta agents right now, Chamber has somehow managed to sneak into the list of the most-picked agents. Chamber maintained a 4.5% pick rate in the last month. Kinda surprising.

10. Viper

For maps like Icebox, Breeze, and Split, Viper is a must-pick character. Still, low-ranked players often choose other controller agents over Viper. As a result, Viper only has a 4.3% pick rate right now.
