VALORANT Episode 8 Act 2 Premier Schedule & Map Rotation

With VALORANT Episode 8 Act 2, a new Premier stage has started with improved features.

Premier is VALORANT‘s official competitive mode, where you will need a pre-made team to compete. Riot Games introduced the Premier Beta in August 2022, followed by the Premier Ignition stage and official Premier Stage 1. And now, Premier steps into its 2nd stage with the launch of Episode 8 Act 2.

Now, with Episode 8 Act 2, Premier is in a new stage. Just like before, you will enroll with your team of up to 7 members and participate in a division decided by the top 5 players MMR. However, the new Premier also differs from the previous versions in a few ways. Like the previous season, you can still participate in practice queue matches on off days. Tactic timeouts have also been added. Riot expects Premier to become the path to qualifying for the VCT Challengers League this season.

What’s New in Premier Stage 2?

There have been some additional tweaks to the Premier with the Episode 8 Act 2 update. These changes include:

Rematch Protection: Protection from facing the same team twice in the same stage.
Playoff Results: Standings now show playoff results as the matches finish.
No More Enrollment: There’s no need to enroll with your team to play Premier. You can now play at any point on a Stage with your team.
Immediate Division Placement: Your teams receive a Provisional Division immediately after creation. This can change with roster and zone switches but locks after your first match.
Zone Flexibility: You can change your zone any time before the first match of a Stage.

VALORANT Premier Weekly Map Rotation & Schedule

The enrollment period for Premier Stage E8 A2 begins with the launch of the new Act. The first week of matches will begin on March 13, 2024, and will conclude with the playoffs on April 28, 2024. Every map will have a total of two days, and the maps will rotate every week.

Here is the Schedule for the weekly map rotation:

Premier will run for 7 weeks, rotating every map from the active map pool, including the newest addition, Icebox, and the revamped Lotus. Depending on your time zone, the event will take place between 7 and 9 PM. You can check this while enrolling in the game.
