New VALORANT Leaks Revealed all the Episode 8 Icebox Changes

Thanks to a leaker, we now have everything there is to know about the upcoming Icebox changes coming with the release of Episode 8.

Riot Games is constantly updating VALORANT to keep it competitive and exciting. Almost every new patch brings modifications to the game that keep it alive and engaging.

Most of these updates typically include small to minor changes and bug fixes. However, with each Episode and Act refresh, the game receives significant changes to Agents and maps that shift the overall VALORANT meta.

The change of the map rotation is one of these meta-changing updates. The changes are caused by introducing new maps or revamping old ones in the ongoing map pool.

But that’s not all. When the time comes, the devs make significant adjustments to the replaced maps and reintroduce them into the competitive map rotation, replacing other maps. And so the cycle continues.

Icebox Replacing Haven in Episode 8 Act 1

In the upcoming Episode, one of the most iconic maps of VALORANT will finally be replaced. Haven has been in the competitive map rotation since VALORANT’s release. To be fair, everyone knew that the map would soon be replaced as it was long overdue. So, it isn’t a surprise to anyone. But the exciting part is that another fan-favorite VALORANT map, Icebox, will take its place.

Episode 8 maps + modes changes:

Modes will use the Competitive map rotation, so that you'll always play on the most relevant maps. Doesn't apply to TDM and Custom games.

Next rotation: Icebox, Lotus, Sunset, Breeze, Ascent, Bind, Split

Riot Games confirmed this news via its Twitter on January 2, 2023. Although VALORANT mentioned that Icebox updates were incoming, it didn’t specify the exact changes. So, everyone was curious about what to expect. But thanks to a leaker named KOHTEIHEP, we now have the exact pictures of Episode 8 Act 1 Icebox changes.

According to KOHTEIHEP’s leaks, Icebox will see some major changes in the mid and B areas, while the A remains unchanged. Here are all of the new Icebox modifications for Episode 8 Act 1.
