Administrators COSMIN Posted 6 hours ago Administrators Posted 6 hours ago The first half of the 2026 PGS is already nearing its end. With various teams taking turns claiming the championship, I’d like to introduce three teams considered the absolute strongest title contenders. Let's take a clear look at each team's unique traits, strengths, and weaknesses.\[The God of War / Natus Vincere]"Born to Win." Living up to their name, Natus Vincere (NAVI) is a team that fears no fight. They don't mind disadvantageous terrain or setups; they overcome it all through sheer combat, eventually pulling off victories that give viewers an electrifying thrill. Led by their ace Hakatory, the roster includes boost1k- (who debuted last year and became Europe's rising star), spyrro (a foundational veteran of PUBG esports), and Feyerist (handling team coordination and backup). Together, they are making massive waves in the 2026 PUBG esports scene. There are countless moments that highlight NAVI's overwhelming combat prowess, but the most iconic would be 2026 PGS 2, where they pulled off a dramatic comeback championship from the brink. The back-to-back Chicken Dinners in Match 9 (Taego) and Match 10 (Miramar) are prime examples of them winning through absolute dominance. In Match 9 on Taego, they crushed a full-squad Anyone's Legend (AL) with just three players. In the final Match 10 on Miramar, despite a 13-point deficit behind the frontrunner AL, they once again used just three players to wipe out other teams, taking an 18-kill Chicken Dinner and carving out a historic comeback victory themselves. This team's strength is clear-cut: their gunplay is simply unbelievable. In terms of pure combat ability, it's safe to say almost no one can match their main roster. Hakatory, mentioned earlier, is the team's absolute core. To put it simply, even Twisted Minds' xmpl, who was revered by all players until '25, has to take a backseat to Hakatory considering recent stats. He secured a staggering 9 Man of the Match titles across the '26 PGS events and even took the Kill Leader title in PGS 5, building an untouchable legacy.Their team stats are just as stellar. Usually, teams that hit over 900 DPM (Damage Per Match) are the ones lifting the trophies. Over 45 matches in the '26 PGS Final Stage, NAVI recorded 45,323 total damage, hitting a DPM of 1,007. While damage isn't always the most highlighted metric, NAVI's true value shines in how they consistently stack damage to pry open opportunities. Most engagements start with Hakatory opening fire. From there, NAVI's primary win condition is leveraging numerical advantages to crush the opposition. Hakatory's combat ability is so overwhelming that he can often take down 2 to 3 players in a row by himself. But that's also their biggest double-edged sword: if Hakatory is picked off early, their win rate isn't great. Recently, however, spyrro and boost1k- have been putting up such aggressive performances that they're offsetting that weakness, making the team an even more terrifying unit. The moment you engage this team, you have to fight with the mindset of risking a full wipe. They are undoubtedly the most dreaded team to face. Your only real chance is to focus fire the exact moment they take damage. If you're aiming for the championship, you absolutely cannot miss the split second NAVI wavers. But what if NAVI stays on their feet until the very end? Well, quietly dropping a frag grenade at your own feet might be one way out.\[The Master of Rotation / Virtus.pro]If I had to pick just one team that best understands the fundamental rules of PUBG, I would choose this team without hesitation. Clean, flawless plays, refreshing survival strategies tailored to every situation, rotations that erase the opponents' options one by one, and a display of maximum capacity in everything needed to survive. That is Virtus.pro(VP).Of course, VP wasn't perfect from the start. Before winning 26 PGS 3, they tasted the bitterness of consecutive Final Stage eliminations in PGS 1 and 2. However, they consistently stacked data to figure out other teams' paths. They developed ways to stabilize their roster and perfected their "first aid kit" strategy for when their squad was crippled, pushing their survival time to the extreme limit. The average survival time for a tournament-winning team is usually around 24 minutes, but across 35 matches, VP recorded a whopping 25 minutes and 56 seconds per match. The Taego match that epitomizes VP's survival drama shows just how meticulous and calculating this team is. With the final circle ending inside a building, they recognized their positional disadvantage against 4AM, who had already taken the roof. Deciding they couldn't win a head-on fight, they prepared Level 3 and 2 Jammer Packs. Tanking massive Blue Zone damage and outlasting everyone to take the Chicken Dinner was a scene that showcased the very essence of PUBG.On top of that, VP is the most strategic user of Gliders among international teams. The hardest part for edge teams rotating inward is spotting hidden ambushes. VP solves this by using Gliders to scout for ambushes before moving in, maximizing their squad's preservation. They were also the first team to attempt a Glider drop strategy in an international tournament. Although they lost that Rondo match, it was a moment that showed VP's brilliant quick-thinking and creativity.Add to that their decision-making ability to instantly lock down the battlefield and cut off other teams' options. A prime example is the Miramar match in PGS 5 Final Stage D1 M2. They completely shut down the entry routes of T1 and Petrichor Road pushing up from the south, simultaneously ruining 4AM's plans to third-party the fight, resulting in a flawless Chicken Dinner. VP doesn't just sit and wait for the circle; they have the ability to proactively design the situation.I've focused heavily on their survival and strategy, but does that mean they lack firepower? During their 26 PGS 3 championship run, across 15 matches, they averaged 5.9 kills per match, 16,993 total damage, and a DPM of 1,132. By bringing renowned fighting teams to their knees, they proved their combat prowess is entirely intact. While they prefer simple, practical techniques in fights, they also show trendy mechanics depending on the situation, proving their individual skills are highly solid.Armed with diverse strategies and judgments to outlive anyone, VP will remain a complex puzzle in the minds of every participating team. While other teams are busy trying to solve that puzzle, VP will only grow more solid. They might just be the first to lift their second PGS trophy.\[The Standard / 17Gaming]Everyone expected them to fail under those circumstances. Many said it was impossible because their core roster couldn't play together. A coach in his forties had to inevitably fill the void, and just as many predicted, the team was pushed to the absolute edge in the Survival Stage. But defying concerns, Coach Akuma filled the gap to secure a ticket to the Final Stage, and once their starting players returned for the finals, they went all the way to win 26 PGS 5. This is the story of China's PUBG powerhouse, 17Gaming.Hearing just the intro might make it sound like a dramatic movie, but if you look closely at the matches, 17Gaming didn't really change much. They simply moved to good positions at the right times, maintained the spots they usually favored but with added stability, and flawlessly demonstrated their world-class grenade usage. If there was a difference, it was maybe using a bit more smokes than usual. 17Gaming simply plays the game by the book.17Gaming doesn't use dramatic fights like NAVI or eccentric strategies like VP, but they always make the best possible move in every situation. Unexpected variables are bound to happen in this game, and maintaining cold logic through all of it is not easy. But China's greatest mastermind, Lilghost, makes composed yet profound decisions. The Rondo match in Final Stage D1 M4 serves as a perfect example. A Test Track circle popped, setting up a classic do-or-die scenario. 17 Gaming constantly looked for gaps to push inward while swatting away teams on the edge. They meticulously checked the kill feed, attempting entry based entirely on hard information. When MiTH, who was playing the outer fields, got wiped while forcing a push onto NAVI's in-circle compound, NAVI also failed to keep their squad intact. 17Gaming, who had been eyeing that exact spot, walked right in without shedding a drop of blood. Even DNS, who held a favorable late-game circle, saw their solid defensive line crumble from a single Lilghost frag grenade. 17Gaming followed up with continuous nades to wipe DNS, fended off all remaining teams, and took the Chicken Dinner.Usually, teams that deal over 17 damage per grenade get good results in tournaments. Across 30 Final Stage matches, 17Gaming threw 309 frag grenades, dealing a total of 5,828 damage. Doing the math, that’s an average of 18.86 damage per nade. Such incredible stats are partly due to the players' mechanical skill, but mostly because the shot-calling on exactly where to focus those throws is crystal clear.Furthermore, their play of holding the edge, burning as much time as possible, and watching for the perfect spot before moving in has become noticeably smoother than in the past. Built on that strategy, they managed to grab two Chicken Dinners on Taego in a single day. At the center of that secret was the rediscovery of the Porter, a vehicle rarely utilized on Taego. The Porter's cargo capacity is 400. Even if you only packed smoke grenades (weight 14), you could fit a whopping 28 of them. Not only that, but when you load items into the trunk, physical boxes actually appear in the back, providing cover from bullets. Of course, it's hard to drive and keeping the tires safe is tough, but in this PGS 5, 17Gaming successfully loaded the Porter with various supplies and utilized it until the very end of their Taego matches. The players' individual forms are also top-tier. Xwudd, the best gunner in the mid-range, along with tiantian and Wenbo—newly acquired from CTG this year—blended into the team so naturally it feels like they’ve always been there. With everyone's mechanics peaking, it looks incredibly difficult for anyone to gain the upper hand against 17 Gaming. The standard does not waver easily.ConclusionIf you've read this far, one question probably comes to mind. So, who’s going to win? There are no absolutes in PUBG. Predictions can always miss the mark, and new variables can always emerge. Nevertheless, at this very moment, I pick Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, and 17Gaming as the absolute strongest contenders.Data doesn't lie. The results and metrics built up across countless matches ultimately prove who the strong teams are. And if the current momentum holds, it’s highly likely that the PGS 6 trophy will end up in the arms of one of these three teams.Whether my prediction hits the mark... we'll ultimately find the answer on the battlegrounds of PGS 6.- JisooboyView the full article Donator: SteamDB Donator: SteamLadder Steam Level Up: https://slvlup.com/r/krrna6 Steam™ Hour Boosting!: https://freehourboost.com/?r=cosminzm
