Winter Map Finally Returns to League of Legends

After years of waiting, Riot is finally bringing back the Winter Map.

The winter season is a special time for many people; it’s a time of holiday, joy, and Christmas. For League of Legends players, it’s the time players get to experience various winter-themed events, skins, and the winter map. This has been a tradition since the release of the game itself, but for the last couple of years, Riot has not brought back the Winter Map.

However, that is about to change as Riot has announced that they are finally bringing back the winter map. In their latest video titled “An Important Message from Pabro…” Riot revealed that the winter map will be arriving this holiday season.

So, the players who have been waiting for years or newer League players who have never seen the map before will be able to witness the winter map with all its glory. In addition to its return, Riot will be improving the visual clarity of the map, adding new map decorations, and much more.

As for when it will be released, Riot has not revealed the exact date. However, we can speculate that it will likely be released in Patch 25.24, which is scheduled for December 3, 2025.
