League of Legends Patch 25.21 Notes: New Changes, Release Date, and More

Patch 25.21 is shaping up to be quite massive.

The last couple of patches in League of Legends were relatively small compared to others, largely due to Worlds 2025. Now that the Worlds patch is out, Riot is yet again making sweeping changes.

Starting off with the changes, champion buffs. A bunch of champions are getting buffs, including the marksmen, Ezreal, Graves, Kalista, and Yunara. As for nerfs, Diana, Morgana, Qiyana, and Quinn are getting nerfs. There are also some adjustments to Bard, Gwen, Dr. Mundo, and Skarner.

Finally, one of the biggest changes coming to Patch 25.21 is the changes to starting items, specifically Doran’s items. All three of the Dorans’ items are getting adjustments, making them better offensively while nerfing sustain. They are also further nerfing sustain by changing the rune Second Wind and the item Catalyst of Aeons.

Aside from these, there’s also a bunch of other changes coming in this patch. So, we have a lot to cover, so let’s get into it.

When Will Patch 25.21 Be Released?

League of Legends Patch 25.21 is expected to be released on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Release Time and Server Maintenance:

• North America: 3:00 AM PT
• Europe West: 5:00 UK time
• Europe Nordic & East: 3:00 CET

Patch 25.21 System Changes

Here are all the system changes arriving in this patch.

System Nerfs

Catalyst of Aeons and the Rune Second Wind are getting nerfed.

System Adjustments

Starting items are getting some massive adjustments.

Doran’s Blade

• Life steal reduced to 0% from 3%.
• New Unique Passive – Life Draining:  Heal for 2.5% of damage dealt, reduced to 33.3% effectiveness for area of effect and pet damage spells.

Doran’s Ring

• Removed Unique Passive – Restoration: Restore 1.25 mana every second. If you cannot gain mana,  heal 0.55 health instead.
• New Unique Passive – Drain: Restore 1 mana every second. Dealing damage to an enemy champion increases the restoration to 2 mana for the next 5 seconds. If you cannot gain mana,  heal for 45% of the value instead.

Doran’s Shield

• Enduring Focus health regeneration reduced to 0 – 40 (based on current missing health) from 0 – 45.

Patch 25.21 Skins

Three new skins will be arriving in this patch, each from a different skin line, and one of them will be a Prestige skin.
