A new universal heirloom ‘BAT’ Leaks ahead of the official reveal in Apex Legends

Following a leak from well-known dataminer HYPERMYSTx on X that disclosed information on an impending universal heirloom called “BAT,” which is anticipated to make its debut during Season 26, Apex Legends fans are in a frenzy.

As with other universal heirlooms such as the Buster Sword and Cobalt Katar, this item is anticipated to be usable by all Legends.

What the “BAT” Looks Like

Drawing inspiration from the Apex Mobile version, fans think the heirloom would resemble a stylized baseball bat based on the leak and early community comments. One Reddit summary states:

“Universal Heirloom (Baseball Bat)… New universal heirloom arriving mid‑season … Likely inspired by Apex Mobile’s bat heirloom … Expected to have 3 recolor variants”.

Visual fans imagine the “BAT” to feature:

• A sleek, reinforced metal or composite handle
• Possibly neon or glowing accents
• Three distinct color variants/recolor options, likely in mythic tiers
• Unique inspection animations and attack visuals that vary with each recolor

Although official renderings are not yet available, the community-driven design discussion depicts a modern, high-tech take on the classic baseball bat, fitted to Apex’s sci-fi aesthetic.

How to Unlock “BAT” Heirloom

According to leaked information, this heirloom is expected to be obtained through a Milestone Event, rather than random pack drops or direct shard sales. To earn it, players must accomplish event objectives, like with prior milestone-based heirlooms.

Fans on Reddit expressed both excitement and criticism:

“I remember months ago leakers said the next universal was supposed to be dual knives… now it seems to officially be a baseball bat.”
“Lol, bat is because i have enough crafting mats to get it free.”
“Really a RGB baseball bat? Such a lazy and uninspired heirloom.”

Even while Respawn has yet to confirm anything, the “BAT” heirloom leak offers an intriguing new narrative dimension to Apex Legends’ aesthetic design. Universal heirlooms provide players with greater customizing options and collector value, particularly when combined with vivid, memorable designs and animated polish. As the Season 26 premiere date approaches, expect more speculations and early previews. Stay tuned!

As with any other leaks, take them with a grain of salt.
