Administrators COSMIN Posted June 15, 2025 Administrators Posted June 15, 2025 Riot has announced some massive ARAM changes that are arriving in the upcoming patch. ARAM, or All Random All Mid, is one of League of Legends’ oldest game modes. It’s a casual-focused mode designed for players who want to take a break from Summoners’ Rift or have fun with friends. Because of its casual friendly nature, the game mode has experienced a surge in popularity over the last couple of years. Which is why Riot has also started to allocate more resources to the game mode. Riot regularly performs balance changes, buffing and nerfing champions. Not only that, Riot releases new maps for ARAM. Just recently, during the Arcane Season 2 event, Riot released a brand new ARAM map. Now, Riot has announced in the latest Dev Update that they will be introducing further improvements to ARAM. There will be a new map called Koeshin’s Crossing, and the popular Butchers Bridge is returning. In addition, there will also be changes to the champion reroll system. After the champion selection, players will be put into one of three maps, two old and a new map. These are the classic ARAM map, Howling Abyss, the returning Bilgewater-themed ARAM map Butchers Bridge, and the new Spirit Blossom-themed map Koeshin’s Crossing. New ARAM Map Koeshin’s Crossing Riot is adding a new map to ARAM called Koeshin’s Crossing. It’s a Spirit Blossom-themed map that is said to have ties to the upcoming champion, Yunara. There are also two new Spirit Blossom portals in the middle of the map that will let you portal back and forth between them. Return of Butchers Bridge The legendary Butchers Bridge map will also be returning in Act 2. It will remain similar to its previous iteration but will have some changes to it. One of the biggest changes is the addition of Power Flowers. These are directly taken from Arena; however, unlike Arena’s version, it will only shield the user and not heal them. But they will still refund your cooldowns. Image Credit: Riot Games In addition, cannons will be added to the map. They will function similarly to the cannons from URF/ARURF, letting you jump into the action much sooner. Champion Cards Finally, let’s talk about the Champion Cards. It’s a new addition that will be replacing the current ARAM reroll system. When a player enters champion select, they will be given two champions to choose from. If they choose a champion, the other champion goes to the bench, and other players can choose that champion if they want to. In addition, players can sometimes get three champion cards; however, Riot did not reveal what the chances of this are.
