As Illaoi is currently one of the strongest champions in the meta, now is the best time to look at all of her skins.

Illaoi, The Kraken Priestess, was released in 2015. And when she was released, the community loved not only her design but also her gameplay. She had a unique design and lore compared to other human champions of that time. Moreover, her gameplay was impressive as she had to micro-manage her tentacles.

When she was released, she was considerably strong as well. However, as Riot added newer and newer seasons to League of Legends, she was also phased out from the meta. But in the latest season, Riot added new tank items. All of the additional tank items and some reworked tank items were over-tuned. So, most tanks and juggernauts found their place in the meta again, including Illaoi.

Moreover, Illaoi is also prevalent outside of League of Legends as well. Riot Forge added her as one of the main playable characters in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story. She was also confirmed to be one of the playable fighters of Riot’s upcoming fighting game Project: L.

But compared with all the newer Illaoi skin, it isn’t good. The VFX and the recall animations are the worst offenders of this skin. Moreover, there are no chromas for this skin, which is also a letdown.

For example, Riot did the VFX and the SFX tremendously well. And at the time of this skin’s release, it was the best Illaoi skin. But unfortunately, Riot released many new Illaoi skins with better quality afterward. Because of it, Resistance Illaoi can’t be higher on the list.
