Administrators COSMIN Posted May 6, 2024 Administrators Posted May 6, 2024 This article will list the Thresh skins from worst to best. Thresh, The Chain Warden, released in 2013, is one of the most iconic champions in League of Legends. Hailing from the Shadow Isles, Thresh is a restless spirit who prides himself in tormenting and breaking others. In-game, Thresh is a support champion who excels in picking off players out of position. His kit allows him to swiftly catch an unsuspecting foe and punish them with his multitude of crowd control abilities. He can also save allies with his W – Dark Passage, making him a very versatile champion. Because of his versatility and great design, Thresh remains one of the most popular supports in the game. And popular champions usually get more skins, which is the case for Thresh. With that said, let’s talk about the best skins Thresh offers and rank them in tiers from worst to best. 13. SSW Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: May 13th, 2015 Price: 750 RP Chroma: 0 Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Esports-themed skins, particularly for monster champions, are frequently hit or miss. It’s either incredibly good or just plain uninteresting, and SSW Thresh falls into the latter category. The skin foregoes Thresh’s recognized monster-esque design in favor of a simple modern style, which works well for many champions but not so well for Thresh. Add to it the fact it’s lackluster animations and effects, and it automatically goes to the bottom of our ranking. 12. Unbound Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: July 29th, 2021 Price: 750 RP Chroma: 0 Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Additional Voice Filter When it comes to lore-based skins, Riot has done a stellar job, but unfortunately, in this case, they have dropped the ball. Unbound Thresh feels like the base Thresh model with a human face attached to it. Its animations and effects feel very similar to the base skin, and other than some minor model tweaks, the skin has little to offer. 11. Pulsefire Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: November 21st, 2019 Price: 1350 RP Chroma: 0 Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX The Pulsefire skin line is one of the most recognizable skin lines in the game. It has memorable skins, such as Pulsefire Caitlyn, Pulsefire Riven, Pulsefire Shen, etc. But one of the Pulsefire skins that is entirely forgettable is Pulsefire Thresh. The skin tries to give off a futuristic terrifying monster vibe, but it falls flat and ends up appearing more like a floating plague doctor mask with a humanoid body. 10. Prestige Pulsefire Thresh Release Date: November 21st, 2019 Price: Special Pricing Chroma: 0 Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Image Credit: Riot Games Prestige Pulsefire Thresh feels like a glorified golden chroma of the base skin. It has a slight difference in model and effect, but other than that, there’s not much offered by the skin. 9. FPX Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: May 13th, 2015 Price: 1350 RP Chroma: 1 FPX Thresh has a single event exclusive chroma. Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Another of the Esports Skins that changes Thresh’s fundamental design, but unlike SSW Thresh, the skin has better effects to back it up. The skin has excellent model work, animations, and SFX/VFX, but most importantly, it captures the spirit of FPX. 8. Deep Terror Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: January 23rd, 2013 Price: 975 RP Chroma: 0 Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Deep Terror Thresh was the first skin Thresh ever received. It portrays Thresh as an underwater monster who claims the souls of divers who venture too deep into the oceans. In terms of lore, the skin matches Thresh pretty well and aesthetically; it also looks fantastic. Also, it is on the cheap side. So, if you are looking for a budget skin, Deep Terror Thresh is a great option. 7. Championship Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: October 3rd, 2013 Price: 975 RP Chroma: 1 Championship Thresh has a single event exclusive chroma. Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Championship Thresh is one of Thresh’s most iconic skins. It was created back in 2013 in honor of the 2013 World Championship. The skin dawns a blue-and-white aesthetic, just like all championship skins, and comes with a Roman three craven in its back to signify the Season 3 World Championship. 6. Lunar Emperor Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: January 26th, 2023 Price: 1350 RP Chroma: 9 Lunar Emperor Thresh has nine chroma, and each chroma costs 290RP. The Ruby version of the Lunar Emperor Thresh chroma can be obtained by purchasing the Lunar Emperor Thresh chroma bundle. The Resplendent version of the Lunar Emperor Thresh chroma is an event-only chroma. Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Lunar Emperor Thresh is the newest addition to Thresh’s collection of skin. The skin was created in order to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and thus, it offers traditional Chinese aesthetics. In addition, the skin also has a very solid model and SFX/VFX. 5. Blood Moon Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: January 8th, 2015 Price: 975 RP Chroma: 0 Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Blood Moon skins have always been fantastic, and Blood Moon Thresh is no exception. The skin reimagines Thresh as a demonic entity summoned on the night of the Blood Moon. It’s a simple concept that matches pretty well with Thresh’s theme, and its simplicity makes the skin shine. 4. Steel Dragon Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: May 13th, 2015 Price: 1350 RP Chroma: 9 Steel Dragon Thresh has nine chroma, and each chroma costs 290RP. The Ruby version of the Steel Dragon Thresh chroma can be obtained by purchasing the Steel Dragon Thresh chroma bundle. The Emberclaw version of the Lunar Emperor Thresh chroma is an event-only chroma. Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX What happens if you take the base Thresh model and inject more Dragon energy into it? You get Steel Dragon Thresh. Steel Dragon Thresh feels like a natural evolution of Thresh. It bears Thresh’s iconic green color and captures the feel of Thresh. In addition, it has one of the best models out of all Thresh skins and has very solid SFX/VFX. 3. High Noon Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: August 30th, 2018 Price: 1350 RP Chroma: 5 High Noon Thresh has five chroma, and each chroma costs 290RP. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX High Noon Thresh has to be the best Epic skin out of all Thresh’s skins. It has one of the most badass splash arts of all the skins; it has excellent particle effects, animations, and chromas; what more do you want from a skin? If you are looking to pick up a Thresh skin, definitely consider High Noon Thresh. 2. Dark Star Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: June 15th, 2016 Price: 1820 RP Chroma: 1 Dark Star Thresh has a single event exclusive chroma. Before we dive deeper into the skin, let us look at the skin’s features first. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Additional Voice Lines Now, we’ve reached the number two spot on our list, Dark Star Thresh. This is the first Legendary Thresh skin to be released for the champion. Not only that, the skin came with its own Gamemode. Thematically, the skin also fits perfectly well with Thresh. It builds on Thresh’s notorious soul-collecting hobby and extends it to the cosmos; now, instead of collecting individual souls, he collects entire planets. That said, the animations, voice work, and effects are top-notch for this skin. The only complaint about the skin I have is that it doesn’t have more chromas. 1. Spirit Blossom Thresh Image Credit: Riot Games Release Date: May 13th, 2015 Price: 1820 RP Chroma: 8 Spirit Blossom Thresh has eight chromas, and each chroma costs 290RP. New Model New Animations New Recall Animation New VFX/SFX Additional Voice Lines It was pretty hard to choose between Spirit Blossom Thresh and Dark Star Thresh, but Spirit Blossom Thresh took the number one spot in the end. The reason for this is its superior animations and effects. You can also change forms in this skin if you are not into the human form.
