VALORANT will receive its newest Agent right after VCT 2024 Masters, Madrid. Apparently, the new Agent’s name is Clove.

Right now, there are 23 playable Agents in VALORANT, with ISO being the latest one in the roster. ISO was released on October 31, 2023, meaning that it has been over 4 months since VALORANT received a new Agent.

However, the time is almost here for a new hero to emerge. With the release of VALORANT’s 25th Agent approaching, much information regarding the character has been revealed.

VALORANT’s 25th Agent’s Name is Clove

In the practice range, there is an Email from Deadlock. In the Email, Deadlock mentions Agent 25 as their “new friend.” In the same Email, Deadlock addresses the new character as “they.” However, players whose game language is in German can find the same Email that mentions the person as “Clove” instead of they. So, regardless of whether it was intentional or a mistake, we now know that Agent 25’s name is Clove.

Clove Might be Neon’s Age or Younger!

In the current PBE 8.04 game files, there is evidence that suggests Clove is really young. The two voice lines from Cypher and Phoenix, which mention Clove as “our little troublemaker” and “the new kid,” prove that Clove might be the same age as Neon, or possibly, younger.

Cypher: “I keep picturing our newest little troublemaker giving Hourglass the slip, leaving behind an empty bodybag.*laughs* Ah… Priceless.”

Phoenix: “Hey fam, imagine when me and the new kid go on the same mission. Other team is gonna be stressing with both of us coming back to life.”

Clove is a Controller Agent

Well, it is not a surprise that Agent 25 is a Controller Agent. All of us have known this for a while now. However, in the recent “State of the Agents” article, John Goscicki, the Agent lead of VALORANT, confirmed that Clove will be a Controller Agent.

Clove’s Abilities

Although Clove’s actual abilities haven’t been revealed yet, based on the information shared in the recent State of the Agents article, we can assume what Clove can really do.

• Clove will have the ability to use smoke or block enemies’ vision from a shorter distance, eliminating the need to stay far back like other Controller Agents. It may be something similar to Jett’s smokes.
• Clove will have the ability to resurrect themselves. However, it is still unclear how it will be performed.
• Clove might have the ability to vanish. *unconfirmed*

Clove’s Look and Origin Country

In a recent Tweet, ChowZ_Channel revealed some vital information regarding Clove’s look and origin.

Clove’s origin country will be Scotland. This fact was also confirmed in the existing Email between Deadlock and Brimstone, which can be found in the game files. ChowZ also confirmed it further.

Clove’s theme colors will be pink and purple. In the game, the character will wear a pink jacket. The character also appears to be really stylish, which is confirmed by Killjoy’s voice line in the game.

Killjoy: Can i just say how much I love the new recruit. I know I like anyone that doesn’t break my stuff, but, come on. Their sense of fashion, inspirational”

When will Riot Reveal Clove?

Riot Games will officially reveal Clove during the final match of VCT Masters, Madrid, on March 24, 2024. You can watch it live on VALORANT’s official Twitch and YouTube.

Clove’s Release Date

VALORANT’s 20th Agent Fade was revealed during the 2022 VCT Masters Reykjavík Grand Final, and was released 3 days later on April 27, 2022. Following a similar trend, it seems very likely that Clove will be released on March 26 or April 2, 2024, alongside patch 8.06.
