LoL PROJECT Gangplank Skin: Splash Art, Price & Release Date

Riot has revealed the upcoming Gangplank skin, PROJECT Gangplank, which will be released on patch 14.5.

Even though it hasn’t been that long since Season 14 started, we have already seen many unique skins released in League of Legends. Some are from completely new skin lines, while others are from returning. From the new skin lines, we got Primal Ambush and Heavenscale. And from the returning skin lines, we got Dragonmancers and Porcelain. While some of the included skins have their own issues, overall, they were of very high quality.

Similarly, after Porcelain, we are getting another returning skin line. This time, Riot is bringing back the PROJECT skin line.

PROJECT is one of the most recognizable skin lines in League of Legends. It started back in 2014 with the release of PROJECT: Yasuo. Since then, we have seen the release of many other skins like PROJECT: Yi, PROJECT: Fiora, PROJECT: Leona, PROJECT: Lucian, and PROJECT: Zed that expanded the skin line.

Now, to get back on topic, as stated before, Riot Games is bringing back the PROJECT skin line for 2024. And one of the included skins is PROJECT: Gangplank.

Since his rework, Gangplank has been a prominent pick across the top lane. With his lane bullying capabilities and his ultimate, he can make an impact in the match with minimal effort.

As for cosmetics, he has many unique skins. As for PROJECT Gangplank, it might not be the best futuristic skin for Gangplank. Gangplank already has two futuristic skins; one is Dreadnova, and the other is FPX. Overall, FPX is one of the best Gangplank skins in the game, right after Gangplank the Betrayer.

As for what the PROJECT skin does right, both the SFX and VFX are amazing, and the animations are incredible. However, the in-game model leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, there are other Gangplank skins that you can look into.

Release Date

The PROJECT 2024 skin line will be released on patch 14.5, scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
