Upcoming Support Item Changes In LoL Patch 14.4

Riot has unveiled that many support items will receive some changes in League of Legends on patch 14.4.

In the first of season 14, Riot introduced many significant changes to League of Legends. Some of them are the objective changes, Summoner’s Rift overhaul, and, for today’s topic, item changes.

To recap, Riot removed the mythic items category, thus completely altering the item system. Because of this, they had to rework most of the items in the game. Additionally, they added many new items. One of the item classes that received the most rework is the support quest items.

Instead of support players buying a support item depending on their needs, they need to buy one universal support item. By doing the support quest, players can upgrade their items. Once players upgrade their support items for the second time, they will be given an option to pick between some new support items. Each of these items specializes in something completely unique. But some get overshadowed by others. Due to this, Riot has been balancing them constantly since the start of the season.

Riot will be again changing some of the support items in League of Legends on patch 14.4.

League of Legends Patch 14.4: Support Item Changes

World Atlas

• Charge recharge timer: 18 seconds >>> 23
• Gold per champ proc: 30/28 >>> 36/33
• Gold per minion proc: 20 >>> 24

The first support item that is getting changed is the mandatory support item, World Atlas. It is receiving some much-needed adjustments.

In terms of buffs, both the gold per cham and minion proc have been increased significantly. However, to balance it out, the proc charge recharge timer has been nerfed as well. Runic Compass has also received a similar change as well.

Runic Compass

• Charge recharge timer: 18 seconds >>> 23
• Gold per champ proc: 34/32 >>> 41/38
• Gold per minion proc: 28 >>> 34

As stated before, Runic Compass is also receiving a similar type of change. These changes are proc buff and recharge timer nerfs. These changes should help support players to get their items faster.

However, at the same time, the recharge timer might affect them negatively. For now, we have to wait and see.

Patch 14.4 Support Item Changes Release Date

These adjustments will be coming out on live servers on patch 14.4, scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2024.
