All The Item Changes In LoL Patch 14.3

Riot has announced some major Item changes for Patch 14.3.

With Patch 14.3 fast approaching Riot has revealed some of the changes coming in the patch.

Starting off with the champion changes, we have even more changes to Illaoi. The champion has been hit pretty hard with the changes to Top-lane terrain. Due to the current layout of Top-Lane Illaoi’s Passive – Prophet of an Elder God tentacles have become quite unreliable, which is why Riot is giving her Tenticles bonus range.

Yorick is also getting some massive changes. His Q-Last Rites is getting more healing overall. His E-Mourning Mist is getting some cast time and missile speed adjustments and his R-Eulogy of the Isles is also getting some damage buffs. Additionally, Udyr can now benefit from Ultimate Hunter and Ultimate Haste effects.

But the most important changes Riot announced for the patch are the Item changes. Due to the item overhaul, Burst Damage has gone up significantly. With Patch 14.3 Riot is looking to tone down Burst Damage, especially from AP items.

In this article, we will go over all the item changes coming in Patch 14.3.

Patch 14.3 Item Changes

Here are all the proposed item changes,

Titanic Hydra

  • Health increased from 500 to 550
  • Active primary target health ratio reduced from 6%/3% max HP to 4%/2%

Titanic Hydra active was a tad too strong on Bruisers, so Riot is significantly nerfing it. But as a compensation buff, Riot is increasing its Health value by 50.

Despite the nerfs, Titanic Hydra should still be a strong item.

Sundered Sky

  • Health increased from 300 to 450
  • AD reduced from 55 to 45

Similar to Titanic Hydra, Sundered Sky will be receiving some adjustments. Its AD is getting reduced by 10 and its Health value is being increased by 150. But its Passive – Lightshield Strike, remains untouched. So it will still remain a strong option for Bruisers.

Stridebreaker

  • Phage swapped for Tiamat in the recipe (unique with other hydras)
  • Cost increased from 3000 to 3300
  • Health increased from 400 to 450
  • AD reduced from 55 to 50 – Active cooldown reduced from 20 seconds to 15
  • Active now deals 80% AD physical damage
  • Now deals 40%/20% AD physical damage cleave passively

Stridebreaker is receiving a significant amount of changes. Riot is turning it into a sort of Hydra item and thus it will now build out of Tiamat. Its Health value is going up by 50, the active cooldown is being reduced by 5 seconds and its active will once again do damage. To compensate, the price is also being increased by 300 gold.

It’s pretty hard to say how good the item will turn out to be but it should be better than its current state.

Stormsurge

  • AP increased from 90 to 95
  • Base damage changed from 100 – 200 to 140 flat.

Stormsurge is once again seeing some changes. Its AP is being increased by 5 but its damage is going down significantly in the later stages.

Looking at the changes, Stormsurge will still be a solid option for Brust Mages.

Stormrazor

  • Attack speed increased from 15% to 20%
  • Base damage increased from 90 to 100
  • AD ratio removed

Stormrazor will be getting a 5% boost in attack speed and its base damage is going up as well but it will lose the 25% AD scaling on its passive.

Statikk Shiv

  • Cost reduced from 3000 to 2800
  • Champion base damage reduced from 100 – 180 to 90 flat

Statikk Shiv has been nerfed multiple times in the past but it is now being gutted. Its gold cost is going down by 200 gold but its passive damage is going down significantly.

Statikk Shiv will no longer be rush items for mAges like LeBlanc and Ahri but it will still remain a solid option for Marksmen with low wave clear such as Vayne.

Redemption

  • Damage reduced from 10% max HP to 8%

Redemption’s healing was pretty busted on Enchanter champions, so Riot is nerfing it quite a bit.

Profane Hydra

  • Cleave AD ratio increased from 40%/20% to 50%/25%
  • Active bonus damage against low health targets from 150% to 130%

Profane Hydra is being changed once again. Riot is reverting the active buff from Patch 14.1B. However, they are increasing the Cleave AD ratio.

Will this item be stronger than before? Sure but it will still remain somewhat of a niche item.

Malignance

  • AP increased from 80 to 90
  • Damage over Time AP ratio reduced from 6% to 5%
  • MR shred changed from 6 – 12 to 10 flat

Malignance is getting some adjustments to its damage. AP is being increased by 10, but Damage over Time and MR shred is getting lowered.

This change should make it a lucrative first-item choice but its late game will be slightly worse instead.

Luden’s Companion

  • AP increased from 90 to 100
  • Damage per stack changed from 40 + 8% AP to 45 + 4% AP

Similar to Malignance, Riot is also adjusting Luden’s Companion.

Its early-game damage should be much better but late-game scaling will suffer.

Lich Bane

  • Sheen base AD ratio reduced from 100% to 75%

Lich Bane Sheen’s AD ratio is going down by 25%. The change should not really affect most champions who buy this.

Kraken Slayer

  • AD increased from 40 to 45
  • Base damage removed
  • AD ratio changed from 65% total to 180% base

Kraken Slayer’s AD is being increased by 5 but Base Damage is being removed entirely. However, it’s getting a huge AD ratio buff.

Kraken Slayer should now be a lot stronger on most Marksmen.

Hextech Rocketbelt

  • Damage reduced from 125 + 15% AP to 100 + 10% AP

lt’s active was a tad too strong, thus Riot is nerfing it significantly.

Hextech Alternator

  • Damage reduced from 50 – 125 to 65 flat

Hextech Alternator’s damage is also going down significantly.

Eclipse

  • Damage reduced from 8%/4% max HP to 6%/3%

Eclipse was one of the most busted AD items in the game. But Riot is finally nerfing it.

Echoes of Helia

  • Heal per shard increased from 20 to 40
  • Damage per shard reduced from 55 to 45

Echoes of Helia’s healing is going up but damage is going down significantly.

Release Date

The aforementioned Item changes are coming out in patch 14.3, which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
