The Infernal Drake Cinder mechanic is getting some much-needed buffs.

Patch 14.2 for League of Legends just dropped, so we have tons of new changes to talk about.

Starting off, we have one of the biggest changes in the patch, the release of League of Legends’ newest champion, Smolder. He will be the first non-celestial dragon champion to be introduced into the game.

When it comes to gameplay, he is rather straightforward, but what distinguishes him from other Marksmen is his massive Area of Effect damage and infinite scaling. Almost all of his abilities are AOE, and hitting champions with them makes him even stronger.

In addition to Smoulder, we have several champion changes. Many champions who were affected by the item adjustments are receiving compensation buffs. Strong champions like Blitzcrank, Fizz, Jax, Rumble, and Teemo will also be nerfed.

Furthermore, Riot has finally nerfed double support item gold sharing. The gold penalty will be substantially harsher than in previous patches, making the strategy much more difficult to pull off.

Along with the major changes, we have some small ones, too. In this article, we will discuss one of those small changes, the changes to Infernal Drake.

Infernal Drake Changes

Here are all the changes to Infernal Drake coming with Patch 14.2,

  • Ability Haste per Infernal Cinder: 0.3 ⇒ 0.6

The infernal map received a huge change in Patch 14.1. Instead of changing terrain when Infernal Rift spawns, it now spawns Cinders across the map. Picking up these Cinders grants Ability Haste to the user, stacking with each Cinters held.

Despite being one of the coolest additions to the game, it was pretty lacking in power. It only offered a measly amount of Ability Haste. Thus, for Patch 14.2, Riot is buffing its ability haste from 0.3 per Cinder to 0.6 per Cinder.

With this change, collecting Cinders will now be a lot more worthwhile.
