Administrators COSMIN Posted January 24, 2024 Administrators Posted January 24, 2024 Wondering what the best Mid-Lane champions to play in Patch 14.1 are? Don’t worry; we have got you covered with our Mid-Lane tier list. Mid-lane is considered one of the most important roles in the League of Legends. Since It is located in the center of the map, it allows the mid-laner to easily access both the top and bottom sides of the map. Thus, the role requires players to constantly be looking for good roam timers and assist other players on the map. Not only that, but the role also requires a certain level of mechanical finesse. Since both Mid-Laners are at a tug of war for lane control, whoever has the edge on mechanical prowess gets to move to objectives faster. Champions also play a big factor when it comes to Mid-Lane. Some champions in certain patches are clearly stronger than others. To have the best chances of succeeding, players need to know about the best meta champions. This will not only help you get the upper hand on most opponents, but it will also help you climb faster. So if you are looking to climb and are struggling to find the best champion for a patch, don’t worry we got you covered. In this article, we cover the five best Mid Lane Champions In Patch 14.1. Sylas Image Credit: Riot Games The first champion on our list is Sylas. As a champion, Sylas has always been pretty solid. He possesses excellent wave clear, great sustain, and great skirmishing power. However, with the Season 14 item changes, he lost two of his most core items: Everfrost and Night Harvester. This usually would be a death sentence for most champions, but Sylas actually got better somehow. Due to the introduction of the new item Stormsurge and the reworked Shadowflame, he functions as more of a burst mage. He can now reliably one-shot squishy champions while healing a tonne, thanks to the increased Ability Power granted by the new Mage items. 4. Akali Image Credit: Riot Games With the introduction of the new Mage items, Akali’s burst potential has gotten even better. Akali can now easily shut down lane opponents by rushing Stormsurge. She can take down low-health enemies with the updated Shadowflame and finally take advantage of her solid AP scaling with the buffed Rabadon’s Deathcap. Moreover, her bruised build also got buffed with the new Liandry’s Torment and Riftmaker combination. 3. Katarina Image Credit: Riot Games Katarina has been fully unleashed with the Season 14 item changes. Thanks to the new AP items, she can now finally build AP and reliable burst squishy targets. Additionally, with the buffs to Voidstaff, she can even take on tanks. 2. Akshan Image Credit: Riot Games Akshan is the only AD champion on our list, and for a good reason, too. Most of the Mid-Lane champions in season 14 are either very squishy or have poor early game, and one of Akshan’s biggest strengths is laning against such champions. With his early-game burst damage, he can easily abuse the poor early game of most mid-lane champions and is very good at roaming. Thus, he can easily take control of objectives and help out other lanes. Moreover, he can even be played in the Top lane. 1. Fizz Image Credit: Riot Games Fizz has benefited a ton from the itemization changes. His core item, Zhonya’s Hourglass, has gotten a significant boost in Ability Power; Rabadon’s Deathcap and Shadowflame also got a huge boost in power. Moreover, Fizz received a new burst item in the form of Stormsurge, which made his burst even deadlier. As of now, Fizz stands atop the Mid-Lane meta with a solid 52% win rate and a 31% ban rate, and that’s after the Patch 14.1B nerfs to Stormsurge and Fizz himself.
