Administrators COSMIN Posted January 22, 2024 Administrators Posted January 22, 2024 Karma receives her first and big changes in League of Legends patch 14.2. League of Legends has various kinds of support champions. Thresh, Blitz, and Leona, for example, are tank and hook/catch categories. There’s also a poke-mage category consisting of Lux, Xerath, Velkoz, etc. Then there’s this utility class, whose primary functionality revolved around providing the carries with heal, shield, etc utilities. Some champions, like Lulu, can be considered pure utility champions. But for some others, for example, Nami can be considered both utility and a pick champion due to her healing, shielding, and bubble. Then there’s Karma, which falls under the utility and poke dual category. Karma gives her allies tremendous movement speed and a huge shield and can root enemies. However, her poke potential, especially in the early game, is ridiculous with her empowered Q. Not to mention, her R (which empowers another ability) is available from level 1. However, in season 2024, despite the mage supports being a meta, Karma doesn’t seem to be picked often. Her win rate currently sits at 46.91% across all ranks (data from OP.GG). Because of this, Karma is going to get some big buffs in the upcoming patch, 14.2. In this article, I will present to you the specific changes she is going to receive. While that may not seem significant, the Q AP ratio going up to the sky is a bit scary since the empowered Q can chunk away 30% off the enemy ADC’s health bar on level 1 or 2 trades. The E base shield increase is something I can get by, given her primary role is to give others shield. However, the AP ratio being changed to 60% feels like a bit overturned, given how strong the mage items already seem. Karma’s win rate is down the gutters, true. But these buffs, in hindsight, kind of feel like too much remedy. I won’t be surprised if Riot decides to give Karma a hotfix in the middle of the patch. However, there’s a possibility that when integrated with patch 14.2’s other changes, this buff’s effect may get normalized. But we’ll have to wait and see. Patch 14.2 Release Date All these big changes to Karma will be implemented on January 24, 2024, with the release of patch 14.2 The post Big Karma Changes In League of Legends Patch 14.2 appeared first on GameRiv.
