They are cosmetic items that players can use to customize the champions in the game. Moreover, each champion has multiple skins to choose from, meaning a player can customize the champion they are playing in multiple ways. Over League’s decade-old lifespan, Riot has introduced over 1500 skins to League of Legends. Not only that, but every two weeks, Riot introduces even more skins. Most of these skins are revealed a week or two before release. They go through a testing phase in the PBE or Public Beta Environment server and finally get shipped onto the live servers.
