Nucleul Pământului în rotație, s-a oprit recent și apoi și-a schimbat brusc direcția Sfera solidă și rotitoare din centrul nucleului intern al Pământului pare să se fi oprit recent și chiar s-ar putea să se rotească acum în direcția opusă celei de acum câteva decenii, potrivit unui nou studiu. Doi oameni de știință de la Universitatea Peking din China a observat mișcările intestinelor misterioase ale Pământului studiind datele privind undele seismice provenite de la cutremurele care au trecut prin centrul interior al Pământului. Prin observarea modificărilor acestor unde, ei își pot face o idee despre ceea ce se întâmplă în interiorul straturilor interioare ale Pământului, mult mai adânc decât poate ajunge orice burghiu și instrument. Într-o zonă izolată din așa-numita Republică Komi (situată între continentul asiatic și cel european, Rusia), există 7 formațiuni stâncoase care ne alimentează imaginația bazată pe legende și mituri de altădată. Aceste structuri se ridică deasupra suprafeței între 30 și 42 de metri înălțime. În limba Mansi, acest loc se numește Man-Pupu-Nyor. Aceste cuvinte înseamnă „micul munte al zeilor”, iar astăzi este considerat una dintre minunile țării. O legendă a grupului Mansi, care erau un trib străvechi de vânători și tăbăcari experți, menționează că unul dintre locuitorii lor care trăia în apropiere de Urali, a trecut granița și a întâlnit niște uriași. Uriașii au început să îl urmărească pe omul rătăcit în apropierea râului Pechora, dar un șaman puternic numit Yallingner a observat 7 giganți care erau pe cale să traverseze Urali, a făcut o incantație asupra lor și i-a transformat în piatră. Dar, spre ghinionul său, a căzut și el victimă a propriei vrăji; așa se explică faptul că șase dintre monoliți se află în apropiere, iar unul dintre ei a fost separat. Localnicii cred cu fervoare că giganții sunt înghețați pe loc. Oricine vizitează formațiunile stâncoase este întotdeauna sfătuit să nu încerce să se urce pe sculpturi. Se organizează tururi cu elicopterul pentru vizitatorii care doresc să le vadă de sus.. Dar, în caz contrar, vizitatorii sunt avertizați că legenda formațiunilor spune că oricine încearcă să se urce pe ele va sfârși la fel ca ele… transformat într-o stâncă!
