The ALGS is heading to Las Vegas for four days of Apex Legends competition, with 40 teams chasing a trophy, a share of $2 million, and Championship Points toward Sapporo. The Year 6 Split 2 Playoffs run from October 29 to November 1, 2026, at the Orleans Arena.
There’s plenty happening between matches, too. EA’s event lineup includes a Season 31 reveal, daily Twitch Drops, Halloween cosplay activities, and a NiceWigg versus Greek showmatch before Sunday’s finals.
In brief:
ALGS Split 2 Playoffs Dates and Location
The tournament takes place at Orleans Arena, 4500 W Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada. Group Stage matches begin on Thursday, October 29, with the champion decided during Sunday’s Match Point Finals.
According to EA’s event announcement, this marks the ALGS’s return to North America for the first time since 2024.
Results in Vegas will also influence the race to the Year 6 Championship, which takes place in Sapporo, Japan, from January 28 to 31, 2027.
ALGS Split 2 Playoffs Full Schedule
The official broadcast starts at 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Sunday’s broadcast begins at 1 PM Pacific / 4 PM Eastern.
The gameplay schedule below lists each series separately. Group Stage and Bracket Stage series consist of six matches.
International viewers should watch the daylight-saving change: the official schedule uses PDT for October 29–31 and PST on November 1. Check Sunday’s conversion separately when planning your viewing.
All Qualified Teams and Groups
The 40 qualified teams have been divided into four groups of 10. Here’s the complete lineup from EA’s official team graphic.
The regional allocation is 15 teams from the Americas, seven from EMEA, 10 from APAC North, and eight from APAC South.
ALGS Split 2 Playoffs Format Explained
Group Stage
Each group plays one six-match series against each of the other three groups. That gives every team 18 matches across Thursday and Friday.
Combined points determine the next step:
A strong opening two days gives teams a more forgiving route through Saturday.
Bracket Stage
Saturday reduces the field from 40 teams to 20 finalists:
Match Point Finals
Sunday uses the familiar 50-point Match Point threshold. A team must first reach at least 50 points, then win a subsequent match to take the trophy.
Reaching 50 points alone won’t end the tournament. Teams still need to close out a game while Match Point Eligible.
ALGS Split 2 Playoffs Prize Pool
The tournament offers $2,000,000 USD, with the winning team taking home $600,000 and 1,000 Championship Points.
Every team receives prize money. Here is the full distribution shown in EA’s placement rewards graphic.
How to Watch ALGS Split 2 Playoffs
The official English broadcast will stream on Twitch and YouTube, with PlayApex listed as the main stream in EA’s viewing guide.
Fans who prefer a more relaxed broadcast can join NiceWigg and Greek’s B stream. The official watch-party lineup also includes:
ALGS Multiview will be available throughout the tournament. It lets viewers follow any of the 20 teams in a lobby, listen to team comms, and watch multiple perspectives alongside the main broadcast. Match statistics and the map are also available.
For anyone following one particular squad, Multiview makes it easier to stick with their rotations and fights throughout a series.
ALGS Split 2 Playoffs Twitch Drops
Each event day offers a cosmetic reward for 60 minutes of eligible viewing, plus an Apex Pack listed at 15 minutes.
Link your EA account to your Twitch account before watching so you can earn the drops. Check the active campaign in your Twitch Drops inventory for progress and claim requirements.
Fans attending Orleans Arena will have access to reward code cards to redeem after the event.
Broadcast Talent Lineup
EA has confirmed the following hosts, casters, and analysts for the official broadcast:
Season 31 Reveal and Developer Q&A
Thursday’s event lineup includes an Apex Legends Season 31 reveal, giving fans another reason to tune in during the opening day.
Attendees can also visit the Ask a Dev booth on Thursday to submit questions directly to Apex developers. Selected questions may appear on the ALGS broadcast.
Saturday’s schedule lists a developer segment covering Season 31 and community questions. EA hasn’t provided exact times for these segments in the supplied schedule.
NiceWigg vs. Greek Showmatch
Before Sunday’s Match Point Finals, NiceWigg and Greek will face off in a special creator showmatch.
The gameplay schedule places the showmatch at 1 PM PST on November 1, followed by the opening ceremony at 3 PM and finals at 3:30 PM. EA is holding back further details about the showmatch format for now.
Tickets and Merchandise at Orleans Arena
EA’s announcement says limited tickets remain available. Fans can check the official ALGS ticket information page for purchasing details.
The listed ticket options include:
The event merchandise collection includes a Viva ALGS Hoodie, Nessie Bucket Hat, Blind Box Nessies, Vegas Loba Tee, and E-Vegas Hawaiian Shirt.
EA says Split 2 Playoffs merchandise will also be available through the Apex Legends Shop for up to a week after the event.
Halloween Cosplay Activities
With the tournament falling over Halloween weekend, EA is organising cosplay check-ins, a group photoshoot, and a broadcast opportunity.
All times below are local Las Vegas time.
Saturday’s group photoshoot takes place at the “Welcome to Legendary” sign. Cosplayers can collect a souvenir lanyard and badge, a special pin, and an in-game digital reward, with gifts available while supplies last.
The cosplay information lists 12:15 PM for Sunday’s broadcast opportunity, while the gameplay schedule lists the showmatch itself at 1 PM. Attendees should arrive for the earlier cosplay check-in and follow staff instructions.
Your official event wristband or credential must remain visible and is required for entry. The souvenir cosplay badge is a keepsake and does not replace event accreditation.
