Hey everyone

This month we’ve worked hard to release the Techmarine Update, and now it’s out! Read the patch notes here or take a look at the recap:

In this month’s Community Update, we’re first reviewing the content of Patch 12 released yesterday including the Chapter Voice Pack I. Then, we’re hosting a giveaway to win 2 Collector’s Editions and detailing the two current in-game events with their respective rewards. And finally, we’ll address the latest ideas from Focus Together.

TECHMARINE UPDATE - PATCH 12.0

Techmarine Class

The new Techmarine class is here with a unique melee weapon: the Omnissian Axe, along with new perks, finishers, and new exclusive gameplay mechanics. In PvP, you get to play as the Red Corsair Warpsmith with the Heretic Power Axe.

It has its own playstyle, arsenal, abilities and perks. If you want to learn more about the depths of its gameplay mechanics, check this blog!

Post-release note:

We saw your feedback about the lack of armour option that the Techmarine currently has. Due to time constraints, we made the choice to focus on Techmarine’s gameplay rather on its customisation options. Rest assured, we will expand the armour options as part of future updates. The Techmarine will have access to various armour parts.

Additionally, a hotfix is planned for next week, addressing various stability issues, as well as a bug soft-locking players in the bridge sequence in Disruption.

New Operation - Disruption

With 12.0 comes a new Operation called “Disruption”. Defend the Ecclesiarchy District from both the Tyranids and the Thousands Sons.

Here’s your brief for this mission:

Combat Squad Veridian must reinforce a battalion of Cadians besieged by a Tyranid swarm, when an urgent missive from an Ecclesiarchy Priest alerts them to a Thousand Sons ritual profaning a nearby Cathedral. Both onslaughts must be disrupted to prevent a domino effect that will jeopardise concurrent operations elsewhere on Avarax.

SEASON PASS II Cosmetic DLC - Raven Guard Champion

The Raven Guard has received its second pack, with a Champion assigned to the Assault Class.

The Raven Guard Champion is associated with the Assault class. Let’s see which elements will be compatible separately with other classes:

• Helm: Tactical / Assault / Vanguard / Bulwark / Sniper / Heavy

• Wargear: Tactical (tabard) / Sniper (cape)

• L. Pauldron: Tactical / Assault / Bulwark / Heavy 

• R. Pauldron: Tactical / Assault / Vanguard / Bulwark / Sniper

• Chestplate: Tactical / Assault

• L. Gauntlet: Tactical / Assault / Bulwark

• R. Gauntlet: Tactical / Assault / Bulwark

• L. Greave: Tactical (without thrusters) / Assault / Bulwark (without thrusters) 

• R. Greave: Tactical (without thrusters) / Assault / Bulwark (without thrusters)

• Backpack: Assault

And a Bolt Pistol Skin comes with it!

SEASON PASS II Cosmetic DLC - Carcharodons Cosmetic Pack

The Carcharodons Cosmetic pack includes 2 Helms, 1 Left Pauldron, 1 Right Pauldron and 1 Chestplate. The armour pieces are automatically unlocked and added to your armour sets once you purchase the pack.

THE CHAPTER VOICE PACK I IS OUT

The first Voice Pack including new voice lines and heads for the Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Black Templars is now available here.

COMMUNITY EVENT

With Patch 12, we’re rolling out 2 community events: a 200 Accolades reward for collectively completing Disruption 300.000 times, and a 20% XP boost, available with no condition, to help you level up your Techmarine class!

ADDRESSING SOME MORE IDEAS FROM THE PLAYERS

Once again, we wanted to address the latest and most discussed ideas from Focus Together, and bring answers to them with insights from Game Director Dmitry Grigorenko! 

Allow Players To Color Their Weapons: link

Summary: Add a customisation option to change the colour of the weapons.

Thank you for the idea. At the moment, we want to keep the weapon colour skins as a reward for the Siege mode. However, we can confirm that more colours are coming.

Fix Macragge Blue and Lens Colors: link

Summary: The Macragge Blue colour is different from Campaign to PvE/PvP.

Hi! Here's a little explanation regarding this issue: 

The reason why color is not exactly the same is because Campaign characters cannot be customized and the color scheme is set in stone. The Campaign characters are not just flat Macragge Blue, there are more advanced shading techniques applied to them that cannot be replicated in PvE and PvP game modes because of the customization. This is why Campaign characters will always look better than recoloured PvE/PvP marines. Especially lenses. Another big factor is how different lighting affects colour shading, as well as different colour correction that is unique to each area of each level. 

That being said, we will try to tweak our colours one more time to close the gap.

Assault Dash Attack Improvements: link

Summary: Various ideas to improve the Assault’s Dash Attack.

With patch 12, the Dash Attack has been greatly improved, as well as Assault in general.

Stratagems: Battlefield Conditions On Screen in the Barge: link

Summary: Make the Battlefield Conditions visible on screen in the Battle Barge without having to go to the Stratagems menu.

Ability to choose which bot teammates go with you on missions and additional customization: link

Summary: More options for bots customisation.

Hello, thanks for the suggestion. However, our focus is currently on improving online aspects of the game. Playing with bots will remain a lower priority compared to online improvements.

More Chapter Insignias On Knee Pads: link

Summary: Add the option to put chapter insignias on the knees for all the other founding chapters and successor chapters.

It is planned! 

Special weapons for imperial guard: link

Summary: Add more weapon variety to Imperial Guards.

This is someting we're planning to add to Siege mode.
