Commanders!

Update 1.27.1 introduces a line of four British twin-barreled heavy tanks, featuring an innovative mechanic that combines firepower, versatility, and style. These formidable tanks boast strong frontal armor, decent mobility, and tactical flexibility, enabling you to switch between firing modes at any time. By letting you deliver precise long-range shots or unleash a powerful double attack in close combat, these tanks provide a versatile new approach to the battlefield.

Selective Fire Modes Mechanic
The new British heavies feature two firing modes: Single Fire and Salvo Fire. You can switch between modes anytime by pressing X. Switching does not pause or reset your reloads and can even be done on the move.
  • Single Fire Mode. The guns fire alternately (starting with the left one). This mode offers excellent stabilization, accuracy, and aiming time, ideal for mid-to-long range combat.
  • Salvo Fire Mode. Both guns fire simultaneously for a powerful double shot. While this delivers huge burst damage, it comes at the cost of lower mobility, turret traverse speed, and accuracy, and a longer aiming time. The reload time in Salvo Fire mode is double that of Single Fire mode.

FV224 Chopper
This Tier VII combines solid frontal armor with dependable firepower, making it a reliable frontline brawler. It holds its ground effectively and supports your team's advances.
  • Twin 20-Pdr Guns. In Single Fire mode, the Chopper boasts solid accuracy and a fast 2.2-second aiming time. In Salvo Fire mode, it delivers 460 HP of average damage with excellent stabilization.
  • Hull-Down Master. Thanks to its 10° of gun depression, the Chopper excels in hull-down positions, using its strong armor and reliable firepower to outlast opponents.

FV227 Conceiver
At Tier VIII, this tank ramps up the protection and firepower. With thick, well-angled armor (280 mm on the turret and 120 mm on the hull), this tank can shrug off incoming fire while dishing out punishment of its own.
  • Twin 32-Pdr Guns: In Single Fire mode, you enjoy impressive accuracy and aiming time. Salvo Fire mode unleashes 560 HP of average burst damage with remarkable stabilization.
  • Mobility and Gun Depression. Despite its heavy armor, the Conceiver keeps pace with its 34 km/h top speed. Its 10° of gun depression makes it deadly on uneven terrain.

FV229 Contender
This Tier IX is the perfect warm-up for the apex predator of this line. With enhanced frontal protection (280 mm on the turret and 165 mm on the hull) and good side armor for angling, it blends survivability and firepower into a dangerous package.
  • Twin 105 mm Guns. Single Fire mode offers good accuracy and aiming time for mid-range sharpshooting. Switch to Salvo Fire mode to cause 780 HP of double-shot burst damage with improved stabilization.
  • Flexibility in Battle. From sniping to pushing aggressively, the FV229 adapts to any combat scenario. Its combination of protection, firepower, and mobility ensures it's always a threat.

FV230 Canopener
Sitting at the top of the branch, this Tier X is the crown jewel of the British twin-barreled heavies. Its thick armor, good mobility, and devastating firepower make it one of the most versatile heavies at Tier X.
  • Impressive Armor. The Canopener boasts 260 mm turret armor, 200 mm hull armor, and solid 100 mm side armor for effective angling. It's tough enough to withstand even the heaviest hits.
  • Twin 120 mm Guns. In Single Fire mode, the Canopener delivers accurate, reliable shots. Salvo Fire mode unleashes a massive 840 HP of burst damage, supported by excellent stabilization.
  • Mobility. Despite its heavy armor, the Canopener is surprisingly mobile with a base top speed of 32 km/h, allowing it to reposition or push when needed.
