Salut, sunt OkSpy si astazi m-am decis sa fac un mic throwback, si sa scriu cate ceva despre fiecare versiune de Windows oficiala(aici vor fii excluse versiunile Beta si versiunile MS-DOS) Windows 1.0- Prima versiune ce aduce un User Interface modest, dar care inca ruleaza pe un MS-DOS mai avansat. Nu sunt multe de zis, avand in vedere ca ne aflam prin anii 1985, insa pe atunci asa ceva era ceva revolutionar. Windows 2.0- Reprezinta o versiune mai buna a Windows-ului 1.0, insa ce aduce revolutionara functie de "Maximize-Minimize", lucru foarte apreciat de utilizatorii Windows-ului, deoarece, chiar si acum pentru utilizatorii erei 2021, aceasta functie este una indispensabila. Windows 3.0-Reprezinta o actualizare importanta, deoarece sunt implementate jocurile "Solitaire" si "Reversi", insa este imbunatatit si Windows Explorer(File Manager pe vremea aia), si un UI mai frumos. Windows NT- Reprezinta aducerea Internetului pe PC-urile de rand, un lucru prin care Microsoft si-a castigat multi clienti in aceea perioada. De altfel, acesta este mai mult pentru business si are si varianta Windows NT Server 4.0, pentru diferite companii etc. Windows 95/98-Sunt sistemele de operare ce au cel mai mare succes din timpurile acelea, au reusit sa faca un UI foarte prietenos chiar si pentru cei ce foloseau pentru prima data. Windows 2000/Windows Me- Reprezinta niste rework-uri ale Windows NT, ce au iesit cu putin timp inainte de Windows XP. Windows XP- Reprezinta un OS Legendar, a carui configuratie permitea utilizatorului sa se obisnuiasca usor cu OS-ul. Aici se nasc si wallpaper-urile legendare. Windows Vista-Reprezinta o versiune grabita, si prost realizata, cu niste optiuni prost facute, dar ce vor avea un remaster in Windows 7. Windows 7-Reprezinta un Windows bine optimizat, lucrat pana la ultimele detalii, ce aduce si Aero in prim-plan. Foarte bun de folosit si in perioada contemporana. Windows 8-Din pacate acelasi lucru ca si cu Vista, doar ca e mai recent Si am ajuns la Windows 10, loc unde nu cred ca mai avem nevoie de o poza avand in vedere ca mai toti il avem pe PC. Microsoft this week changed how it will deliver updates to the parts of Windows 10 that receive and install files from Windows Update, claiming that a new bundling approach will eliminate confusion and streamline the OS's regular refreshes. Up to now, Microsoft has distributed each servicing stack update (SSU) separately from any cumulative update (CU). The new practice will combine the two – SSU and CU – into one package for download and deployment by IT administrators. Not an update to the Windows Update service itself, an SSU is instead a refresh of the components of Windows 10 needed to receive, verify and install files from that service. SSUs are a necessary part of the Windows servicing and maintenance ecosystem, as Microsoft makes plain. "Servicing stack updates improve the reliability of the update process to mitigate potential issues while installing the latest quality updates and feature updates," Microsoft said in a support document. "If you don't install the latest servicing stack update, there's a risk that your device can't be updated with the latest Microsoft security fixes." But because SSUs have been issued separately from CUs – and the fact that a given CU may require a specific SSU to already be in place before that CU can be installed – loopholes to confusion existed. "First, it doesn't occur every month," said Aria Carley, a Microsoft program manager, in a post to a company blog, referring to appearances of SSU. "Second, the error message that the [CU installation] failure can produce, 'update isn't applicable,' doesn't make the root cause immediately apparent." This separate distribution of SSUs and CUs will stop, at least for some Windows 10 users. Customers running Windows 10 2004, the feature upgrade Microsoft released in late May, who have installed the September SSU will (in the future) see "a single cumulative monthly update ... that includes the month's cumulative fixes and the appropriate servicing stack updates for that month, if applicable," according to Carley. At some point – Microsoft didn't make it clear when this would kick in – IT administrators using WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) or Microsoft Catalog will be able to retrieve a combined update package. Microsoft a confirmat că va livra Windows Subsystem pentru Linux 2 în viitoarea versiune de Windows 10 20H1 (2004), dar actualizările vor fi făcute de către update-ul Windows și nu de către aplicație. Practic, este o versiune Linux bazată pe text, care rulează acum pe partea de sus a propriului kernel Linux, una dintre actualizările cheie ale WSL1. Ca urmare, performanța ar trebui să crească.
